Rented a water cooler from Primo Water Corporation / ReadyRefresh for 35 months. Started at $5/month, which later increased to $11/month. Total paid: $385 for a unit that retails for around $200. When I moved, I was offered a "discounted" buyout of $182, then $100. After already paying nearly double the value of the unit, this does not feel reasonable. The agreement may technically allow this structure, but there is no transparency around how rental payments relate to ownership or total cost over time. I requested either a fair buyout (~$50) or return with no additional fees. Waiting to see how this is resolved. Consumers should understand that long-term rental costs can significantly exceed the value of the equipment, with no path to ownership. read more

Readyfresh is PRIMO, who bought out SParkletts. I used Sparkletts for almost 20 years before Primo took over and it has been a disaster. They can't get the order right, can't make the deliveries on the days listed and even if they do, it is wrong. Conversations with reps on phone and online will not solve anything. I have a screenshot of the "one time order" for 5 bottles after they failed to deliver for a month, only to have them make it a recurring 5 bottle 2 X per month delivery. I have been a customer of Ready Fresh since moving to Arizona in 2020. Two years ago they were bought by Primo Brands and since then their service has become intolerable. I am a member of their "Hydration Hero" program and as such, am entitled to get a free water dispenser cleaning every year. I have been trying to schedule this year's cleaning with them since March and they have cancelled me 5 times, the last without any prior notification. I have called them numerous times to try to resolve this and to get answers, but all I get is a run-around and a promise to come out to do my cleaning "next week". The worst customer service, horrible billing practices, watch your bill closely because they constantly make mistakes and then tell you they will fix (refund their errors) and they either don't refund the full amount or they don't do it at all. Customer service will lie to you (I've completed that refund right now, here's your conf #) and they didn't. You call back and you get a completely different answer next time. Started out great, but I recently have run into major issues with this company. I've been skipping orders on and off for a year, and half of those skips were ignored and I was charged anyway. If a customer says to skip an auto-order, there shouldn't be a way for that order to somehow unskip... I got tired of it and decided to cancel the entire order this time and maybe just order it individually when I can. So I looked for the cancel button... maybe something to remove it from my cart... nothing. There is no way to cancel on the website. Okay. So I contact customer support. They give me the run around for a good 15 minutes saying they'll give me such and such amount of money off my order for 6 months, blah blah blah. I say no, I want to cancel. They ask me if I want to cancel my account, I say no. I want to cancel my ORDER. This goes round and round for a bit before I'm told they cannot cancel an order. At All. Ever. So if you start an auto-delivery with them, they will never cancel it. They offer to cancel my account again, and I say okay, fine. You'd think that's the end of it right? Nope. I go to double check today that my account has been cancelled and lo and behold, no. It hasn't. Everything is still set up to charge my account. At this point I try to be crafty and take my card off the account. Nope, can't do that. There's no option to remove your payment method. Okay... So I'll remove autopay. I go to the page where I'm supposed to be able to edit autopay, I click the edit button, and... It takes me to the front page. There is no way to remove your payment information or stop autopayments. I checked every single page of their website. Nothing. I ended up having to go to my bank and request that no payments be allowed from this company. This is one of the worst, scummiest scam companies I've had the displeasure of dealing with. NEVER give them your card info, never order from them, STAY AWAY. read more

Beware of ReadyRefresh's Aggressive Sales Tactics We've never disliked a company more than ReadyRefresh. Despite numerous attempts to get them to stop badgering us, they persist in forcing deliveries and sending aggressive communications. We emailed, but they won't heed our emails, stating we must call. Calling their customer service is a nightmare--long prompts, endless wait times, etc.etc.etc. Chat? Same story, with frustrating pauses and no real answers. We've tried skipping the deliveries they impose on us, only to be told we're exceeding the "maximum number of skips." What?? Let's talk pricing: over $8 for a case of water? We've informed them we can buy the same product elsewhere for just over $3, but that hasn't stopped them from scheduling deliveries and charging our card without consent. We changed our payment method to block their charges, and now they bombard us with long-winded, borderline threatening notes. We even escalated the issue to their President and CEO, Henrik Jelert, but unsurprisingly, nothing has changed. At this point, it feels less like a business relationship and more like a gang trying to force us into their "protection racket." The only difference? They're selling overpriced water instead of safety. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of ReadyRefresh. So, I fell into financial hardship and was locked out of my online account after missing a payment. They still continued to try to withdraw the money from my account after I had sent in an email where I attempted to cancel the service. They replied 3 days later stating that I need to log into my account to verify it, then I have to call in to camcel it. This company has had years or repeated incompetence. Most recently they have missed the past two deliveries. The office took a collection to go to the store to buy water. Two managers had called Ready Fresh yesterday to verify the deliver. It never came. Today at 7:15 one of the managers called Ready Fresh and was told we would have to wait five more days for a water delivery that is now over two weeks past due. Customer Service - non existence Driver Competence - non existence Water -no better than anyone else. If this were not a government contract I would terminate it today and hire anyone else. Initially I was happy with services, until i was gradu charged more. I emailed the customer service team and stated I had general questions regarding possibly terminating my service. Without any type of follow up or communication, my account was terminated. As a result, I was charged the 50$ refurbishing fee. First they delivered three bottled waters and the water cooler I ordered with them didn't make it to the truck so then they had to bring it 3 days later after they told me I'd get it the next day... Then they told me to use the Play store app to order more if I needed to. So I download the app and I get my account set up and I order a delivery because I've noticed they have not set up any reoccurring! Absolute garbage. I had an account in which I was told It would be 25 a month for equipment and delivery, after 1 month the price jumped to over 50. It took 2 months of constantly reaching out to get the service cancelled which i continued paying on. It took an additional month for anyone to come out and pick up the equipment we rented. My account was officially closed in December of 2021 with a negative 3 dollar balance, thats fine you can keep the 3 bucks i say. Water prices have shot way up (now almost $7 for a 5-gallon jug, before tax, delivery fee, fuel surcharge, and bottle deposit!), case prices are still bad, and ever since last year's "system upgrade" billing and delivery has been an absolute mess. THREE TIMES ReadyRefresh has "rescheduled" orders I canceled, late at night (definitely nothing sneaky here), causing $35 of unreturnable water I did not want to mysteriously show up at my doorstep. Their billing system also just plain doesn't work, frequently kicking me postcards about "incomplete" card information, despite the fact the site continues to tell me my card is both valid and will be billed soon (and having re-entered multiple cards multiple times). Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. And they never tell you when you will be or have been charged by AutoPay, so trying to figure out what the hell is actually happening is impossible. Customer service is still staffed by one person and a potted plant, and as soon as I can get one of them to pick up the damn phone I'll be canceling. read more

I wish I can seen these reviews before doing business with this company. I had an order scheduled for December 2nd. It didn't arrive in the timeframe estimated. So I contacted customer service and they stated it would still come. Well around 6 pm my order just disappeared from the website all together. It came back later that something came up and they needed to reschedule for another day. I was extremely frustrated and canceled my services with this company. The problem is that it takes about 2 weeks to schedule a delivery so I had already waited 2 weeks. That with added cost for the product it was not convenient anymore. I cancelled the service and the soonest they can get a truck to pick up my equipment and empty jugs is a month and half away. Someone called regarding our emails and said they'd have someone call us back 'tomorrow' , that was January 14th. So far no one has called (as of 1/23) . I have been using this service for over 25 years. Customer service is so bad, I am going to cancel my service. First they stop delivering to our area. Then I have the bottles delivered to my office, so I can continue service. Then I cancel a delivery because I was on vacation that week. Then they deliver the bottles anyway. Have used them for 8 years or so - they've gotten amazingly worse since we started using them. 5 gallon bottles used to be like $4 each, now are like $15 each! And they are now begging for tips for the delivery driver in the app and via email. Often miss or reschedule deliveries and now they won't let me reschedule on my end without like 3 weeks notice.
