I purchased a system in 2021 and have had no issues. Three years later I did have a question about something on the system and I called Friday at 5pm and said on the message give me a call Monday. I heard from someone that evening! Side note the water in Mesa is horrible. We did an experiment and distilled tap water (no filter) and the smell and amount of buildup was terrible. The top of the distiller was hard to clean. We distilled our filtered water. No smell and just a small amount of buildup (likely from potassium) and easily wiped off. 2 years ago, I purchased a older home that had the existing "Magnum" Water softener. Being from WA State, I knew nothing about how these things work. I did have and paid for a service call with Alex, and he was super helpful, and very professional explaining the do's and don'ts. Very rarely do I make decisions about personal purchases without checking references, but in this particular case when Alex Chrys, president of Energy One, presented his whole house filtration system and went through the long term relationships he has built with his customers over the last 30+ years, and how they have become his close family friends, I felt at ease and took a chance. I am happy to report that that my family won't have to take showers or baths or cook food with chemical laced tap water anymore! Today is the first day we have had the system and I tested the water from the main water line 'before' the filter and a few of the taps in the house, cold water lines as the hot water hadn't circulated yet, and to my delight there was zero chlorine in the tap water (clear) and a high level of chlorine from the main line (pink). I went a step further and tested my pool water and it was even a lighter pink than what comes out of the water main- proving that the city water is full of chlorine which means to me that they are attempting to kill any bacteria and other garbage in the water, but who wants to drink chlorinated water if you don't have to. The 1 Star is for service calls. I thought I had an issue with my water softener producing a LOUD PITCH noise and contacted EnergyOne who I purchased it from they told me it would cost $225.00 for a service call. BUYER beware the service call fee is astronomical if you have any issues or concerns so I cannot recommend them. EnergyOne came out looked at water softener and couldn't find anything wrong and charged the full $225.00 after walking around and pushing a few buttons. And stated I needed a plumber, I found PLUMBSERVE and contacted Addam who came out for NO CHARGE to check things out, thinks he found a problem it might be my Bonnet and Poppet valve and told me where to get it so I can fix it myself and if I still have issues he would be able to come out because it could be my Pressure Vacuum Breaker and that may need to be replaced as well and that would be parts plus $165.00 for the repair. I was happy to tip him for coming out for free and fingers crossed I can repair it myself. I can't say enough how much I appreciated this especially with being retired and on a single income. read more

I feel pretty much scammed by these guys. They might be okay if you're in the market for a new system, but I was referred to try and repair an existing water softener. They called, asked me to send pics and my address and then responded saying by text that they'd be out to replace the transformer and wire. I assumed (lesson learned) that this meant they would be fixing it. No one explained that they would just be trying out the transformer (see the picture). A tech came out, worked for a couple hours, and then told us the repair was no good and the owner would be out later to talk "options." Our options were to put another $280 I to the repair or $3000 into a full system. At least they were honest the second time and said they thought it was unlikely the repair would work. If these guys are as experienced as they say they are, I find it suspicious they didn't say something right when they say the pictures or when their tech arrived - they later told us that our softener was a Frankenstein of parts and that the insides were probably bad. Definitely some integrity is being sacrificed in the name of sales. These guys are just in the business of selling full systems, but they won't tell you that and they'll take your money ($226) just for not buying one. read more

We had the owner come out for an estimate about 3 weeks ago. He advised us that he was not like other companies that waste their time and potential clients time testing our water. We told him we would get back to him if we were going to go with his company and we told him we were getting estimates from other companies. I felt he was extremely determined to get us to put a deposit down even though we told him we were still shopping around! He continued to be persistent in getting our business right then and there and we told him we were not ready to make a decision. He showed up at my door today saying that my husband texted him telling him to come this week! I told him that my husband did not tell me anything about this and I told him I would have my husband get back to him when he gets home! I told him we just had a death in the family and he did not even acknowledge that. He then asked me if we went with someone else and I told him yes the work was already done. He then stated that my husband was not a man of his word and had no honor!!! I was taken aback and could not believe what he just said to me! I said to him I will have my husband call you back when he gets back and he said just tell him thank you for not being a man of his word or honor and then walked away! I am so glad that we chose another company who took the time to explain the benefits of their system and yes tested our water and even brought us a jug that he gives to his clients so we could taste what the end product would be!! One Star Is Too High! When we had our water softener installed 4 years ago the rep was friendly and professional. Afterward every time I called for service I would be met with rudeness and condescension. Our recent interaction is what prompted this review. Our water softener is a little over 4 years old and it began leaking. All I want to know is when will they be coming out. I was told to text them my address and they responded that they will be out "next week" and will call before they arrive. I asked for a day and they couldn't tell me. I waited a week and still haven't received a response of when they can come out. I reached out again and was told "we are doing our best to take care of our customers". No apologies. Am I not one of their customers? No communication. Am I to wait at home each day and hope that this is the day they will show? What is sad is that this isn't the first time this has happened. Once is an accident. Twice is their way of doing business. I really regret buying from this company. read more

Alex is the owner operator. When I told him I was not interested in a water softener, he claimed that his product was a whole home purification system as well. He could not tell me any of the details as to the components of the water purification system. In hindsight he seemed to be exclusively concerned about making money for himself and not the actual needs of the customer. While these standard water softener systems may remove some or all chlorine, I highly doubt that it removes heavy metals, VOC's, medications, and other impurities, which Alex claimed it did. He said that I could drink the water and it would be just as healthy as drinking bottled purified water. After one to two weeks of drinking the water my skin broke out profusely in large pustules. When I switched back to drinking clean water, my skin became normal and healthy again. Alex charged me $3,000.00 for the system. When I had a potential issue with the product he seemed to take things very personally and continued to display that he seemed to only care about himself and about making money. Out of all the options one could choose for a water conditioner, my honest opinion is that Energy One is the worst. There may be businesses just as bad as Energy One, but I honestly doubt that there is any worse than them. read more

We moved into a new house (new to us) and discovered that the last owner failed to maintain the water softener. I didn't know anything about these systems. We discovered that the salt had formed a solid brick in the tank and wasn't working properly. We had two separate companies come out to give us an evaluation. The first company said we needed to replace the entire tank, some valves, and the whole electronic component to the system ( I didn't know much but it the electronic part seemed to be working just fine). So the second company came out (they are the ones stationed at Costco and swear they are reputable because they have the Costco backing). Well, they were worse. They came out and suggested that there were sooo many repairs that we should just replace the whole system with them for over $2500. Then finally, we had an epiphany and called the sticker on the unit. In comes Alex with EnergyOne. I texted with with him multiples times before I decided to have him come out. First, he educated me about the system, second he evaluated it and fixed it! All that it really needed was a couple of new valves which he replaced on the spot. He was the first honest guy I met about this system. After all his explanation, they actually are really easy systems to maintain. The repairs were done a little over a week ago and man we really do notice the difference in water quality! He was right that we'd be in for a treat! The water feels very nice and just a little soap goes a long way now. I really appreciate this company. And we paid a fraction of what the other 2 companies were hoping to charge. We moved into a new to us home in New River AZ - on a well for water. There was a lot of water staining around the house plumbing fixtures, especially the dishwasher. And I have been told there was a lot of arsenic in the well water in our area - sure did not want any of that to drink! And I hate buying drinking water. I investigated a few companies and what their systems were like and what they could do. I ended up calling Energy One because they said it did the things I wanted a system to do, and treated all of the water coming into the house, not just part of it. A woman came to the house, explained everything, satisfied my questions, gave me the price, gulped and said ok. The installation went well - the guys who were here were helpful, conscientious and preformed a nice clean installation - and explained why where I had thought it should go was not the best option. One year later I am wondering "how do I know it is working?" I called and got a few texts and then a call from Alex. He said I could have a service call or he could check some things with me over the phone - I opted to save their time and my money and did the phone check. Very easy and Alex was great at talking me through all the items that we could check, made a couple of changes on his recommendation and done! Alex was great on the phone. The system is working great! and I am still happy I bought this system. I did not know I was talking to the owner, Alex! The sales person that came out a year ago was the owner also, the wife. I could not believe you could have soft water without using salt in the water... I am continually amazed at the quality and softness of the water we get from Energy One's Magnum system. I was refusing to buy a water treatment system unless I could check the quality of the water myself. I was able to check a friends water that is using the Energy One system... zero hardness in his water; and, now, zero hardness in my water. The wife and I just love this system.. no more calcium buildup on glasses, no bad smell in the hot water and no white coating on my skin after a shower. I would absolutely stay away from this business. If you are interested in getting the softener and water treatment equipment I would recommend calling Rayne instead. I bought a unit from Alex and, within 4 years the tank broke. Alex charged me an additional $600 plus a $100 Service trip. The Rayne products have a LIFETIME warranty. Alex will tell you, his system is built specifically for the Arizona water, probably in his garage.
