Zac, understanding our concerns, promptly reached out to the Project Manager and Portland Manager, Matt. Matt proposed a cost-effective solution, but after consideration, we decided on a wider base without a door. Matt assured us that they would accommodate our request, and he stated that if they could not do so immediately, they would make the shower usable until they could return. I expressed my understanding to Matt that I knew there would be additional costs. Final Touches and Completion: The next day, Zac and Luis returned with good news--they had a wider standard base and a shower rod available. By early afternoon, our new shower was installed, except for the missing seat, which would be addressed later. A week later, Max came to install the seat, grab bar, and edge trim. He realized he had the wrong silicone, and the team promptly returned to rectify the issue. Zac returned the next day, taking just about five minutes to complete the job. I contacted Anna, and she connected me with Zory for a seamless final payment process over the phone. Zory was also very helpful. In conclusion, my experience with Re-Bath in Portland was exceptional. The cost was also notably competitive. If you are in the market for a shower, Re-Bath in Portland should be your first choice. I had Rebath convert my worn bathtub into a step in shower in the beginning of 2023 and two years later, I'm still very happy with the work they did. The world had just emerged from the pandemic so supply chains and workforce were still unpredictable but my experience with Rebath was very good. The job did take a few more days than originally estimated due to my discovery of a manufacturing defect in the main surround after it had been installed. It struck me at the time that a quick QC before loading the material onto the truck would have saved us all a lot of trouble. The install team was very professional and considerate, and I would say they went above and beyond for me when they discovered a leak in my crawl space from the old tub install. All in all, I love my shower. It is easy to keep clean and I am confident in the quality of the workmanship. Sincerely I was able to customize the shower into the way I wanted with extra safety features, I feel that I will be able to enjoy it well into my golden years. read more

Too long to read - To sum it up, it took a whopping 79 days to have a completed shower, albeit with scratched panels and leaking shower doors that we haven't yet addressed with Re-Bath due to sheer exhaustion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Throughout this ordeal, Re-Bath never apologized for defective products, missed appointments, or even acknowledged the inconvenience caused to us as customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Additionally, if you're paying sales tax on your project, be aware that Re-Bath will not refund the sales tax paid. Here's a timeline of events: 3/11: Initial install completed, but we noted that the wall panels were badly scratched. The on-site installer promised that Nate (Install Manager) would contact us the next day to address the issue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]3/14: Having not heard from Nate, we emailed and shared photos of the scratched wall panels.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 3/15: Spoke with Matt (General Manager), who informed us that the panels would need to be replaced. We requested a color change for we were not happy with our original choice. Matt insisted that we would have to pay full price for the new panels. We argued that the manufacturer already agreed to replace it, why would simply changing to a different color make any difference. He told us the cost would be $1,600. After a bit of arguing back and forth he finally conceded to charging us half the amount. We agreed. 3/19: Met with Matt to choose a new wall color and agreed to pay $815 plus Washington sales tax. [[HIGHLIGHT]]4/9: The scheduled second install was canceled via email, with no courtesy phone call, and moved to 4/18.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 4/18: Second install started but was aborted midday when the installer cut himself and went to the emergency room. 4/22: Second install completed, but the new wall panels were also scratched. Not to the extensive degree of the first set but they are visibly scratched in a number of areas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]4/23 & 4/28: Emailed Matt requesting follow-up to address the scratched panels and shared photos of misaligned doors allowing water to escape.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 4/28: Matt called and set up an appointment for Nate to fix the issues on 5/1. [[HIGHLIGHT]]5/1: Nate was a no-show, no call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 5/6: Nate showed up but couldn't align the doors or remove the scratches from the wall panels. 5/7: Matt agreed to replace the doors with a different manufacturer. We requested a refund for the wall panels as we had no confidence they could provide undamaged panels and we were not willing to go through the agony of a third install. Matt agreed to refund the $815 but refused to refund the WA state sales tax. Looking into this, not sure it is legal. According to WA State Department of Revenue our tax paid should be refunded but dealing with Re-bath is exhausting and not worth the $69.28 we believe is owed back to us. 5/9: Inquired about the refund and was told we had to wait until after the next install and sign off on the project. [[HIGHLIGHT]]5/15: Anna (Production Coordinator) called to confirm the shower door install for the next day, which was never scheduled. She later confirmed an install date of 5/20 with Nate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]5/20: Nate was a no-show again. He was scheduled to arrive at 10am but at 10:05am left a voicemail stating he had two people call off and was doing another install instead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 5/28: New shower doors finally installed. 6/2: Matt confirmed our refund check was going out. We had not signed off on anything, so the refund check was held up for no apparent reason other than to give Matt some semblance of control. This has been a nightmare experience that is not yet over. At some point, we will need to muster the energy to deal with the leaking second set of shower doors. Update - Within 24 hours of posting this review, we received a phone call from Kevin, VP of Ops. Kevin did not try to make excuses for the issues we faced; instead, acknowledged that our experience was unacceptable & took immediate steps to rectify. Within a week, Re-Bath was back at our house to install door strips, effectively eliminating the leaking door issue. The sales tax that was withheld has been refunded, & we were financially compensated for accepting wall panels that have some minor scratches. Although Kevin offered to replace the scratched panels, we decided against another installation, as previously mentioned. Kevin has been proactive & has touched base twice within the week. We are hopeful the Portland Re-Bath staff will follow Kevin's example of exceptional customer service. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I selected Re-Bath because I had faith in the Salesperson, and I wanted no issues with this project.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The night before construction I was called to reschedule due to health issue of the installer. Rescheduled for 2 weeks later[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Initial construction was completed in the 2 days as promised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next day I sent off an e-mail to Re-Bath explaining everything that was done incorrectly. A week and a half later, no action was taken and I suggested that someone come out and take a look at my issues.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another week delay. When the project manager finally came to look at the issues he agreed to fix the many problems. He sent out an electrician two weeks later. Also, he agreed to get new cabinet doors and drawers for the bathroom because installer damaged them on installation. I agreed to live with the damaged cabinet frame for a $500 refund: still waiting a month after the agreement for that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another appointment cancellation and another week delay to install drawers and doors and toe kick 1/4 round and baseboard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This install finally happened, but I was surprised that the installer did not have everything he needed to finish the job and had to wait for his supervisor to bring it. A 1/2 day to finally finish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was surprised by the total lack of customer service, communication and concern for a job well done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I strongly advise against using Re-Bath for a bathroom remodel. Rebath just completed our second bath project at our home. The master bath needed a complete update which included the shower. We received a couple of estimates but Rebath really was informative and the price was right. Make no mistake, we love our new Re-Bath shower. Our go-to contractor gave us a bid on a total master bath make-over. We did NOT like his idea of a tiled shower stall. So we advised him that we will get the shower done elsewhere and call him back on the rest. We had lived with a too small shower stall and single sink vanity for 20+ years - a few more months will not kill us. We loved the custom shower pan idea as well as the floor to ceiling enclosure with matching ceiling cap. Perfect colors/texture for our taste. I asked the lead tech to stop work along the way (took parts of 2 days) so that I could inspect what was behind the 50-year-old fiberglas shower stall. It was soon apparent that the outside wall was uninsulated (like I had long suspected). They stopped work so that I could fetch some insulation that he (sorry that I failed to get your name) was kind enough to install. Several [:-( faces: * The appendance was constantly on his cell phone - not totally engaged in the task at hand. Rude. Wish I had grabbed it and told the caller that he will return the call at the end of shift. * Slightly damaged our toilet lid with a sharp tool but said NOTHING as they wrapped up. I called and Re-Bath promptly replaced it. * More recently, we noticed some minor caulk separation damage along the top of the pan. We called for a warrantee visit. We were given a rather lengthy time frame. (sign of the times) At the top of that time slot, we got a call but could not connect with the Re-Bath caller. No one showed. We waited 90+ minutes before calling 503.883.8409. We then learned that the tech was swamped and had to cancel his appointment with us. The apprentice took a GIANT DUMP in my bathroom after I allowed him to use it. Wasn't expecting that. Then, they requested payment before the plumber showed up and did a horrible job re-installing our toilet. The caulk they removed was everywhere. I asked him to clean it up, so he did. The installation team of Caleb, Shannon and Chris was absolutely top notch. They started early AM each day and maintained a great work ethic throughout the day. Rebath has been great from the Sales person Dennis, project manager Kira to a great installation crew Brian, Matt, Jordan. The great crew who can and fixed our molding and helped us out with a show head issue. Corey and Tanner made 3 trips out after the installation to fix a few things we wanted tweeked. They showed up after they already worked a while day and didn't quit until everything was done to our satisfaction I can't say enough about them. Very professional and friendly.
