These people gouged my kitchen wall while installing a countertop and wouldn't repair it or cover the cost of repair. They told me it was something that could happen during installation. Five years later, the undermount kitchen sink they installed in the same granite countertop dropped and caused a leak. I had a plumber come out and he video'd the mounts they used to install the sink and thought the length of the wood they used was too short. We both thought the bracket may have failed because of that. I called precision and told them what happened and supplied them with pics and video. They wanted to charge me to come out and reinstall the sink and, by the way, if plumbing had to be removed and then re-installed, that would require a visit from a plumber. I asked another countertop installer to come fix the sink but they won't touch other people's mistakes. My sink is being held in place by a car jack. At least the plumber fixed my leak. read more

I had sooo many questions for the templater and the installers. This was my first time installing cabinets as an island and with a gap in the middle for the range. All of the guys were very kind and informative, but didn't try to mansplain anything to me, which I really appreciated. The fabricator did a great job of lining the veins up behind the range too, you can barely notice the seam. They did an excellent job and really took their time to make it perfect! This is one of the worst experiences we have had, as a contractor, working with a countertop company. We decided to purchase this from Home Depot and they use Precision Countertops as there fabricator and installer. From the beginning, it lacked in communication and scheduling was the hardest thing to get done ever. This company lacked communication, scheduling details, staying on schedule, workmanship and customer service in all. I have still been waiting for a call from the Supervisor about the whole situation for a couple days now. If they treat their leads from Home Depot this way, they should not be getting ANY leads from Home Depot. The installers arent even Precision installers, they sub it out. So at that point, it has gone through 3 different hands. Not a good company moto to go by. The installation was sub par. We had to clean up after them, had to have them come out again because they didnt put backing on part of the cabinets where the most likely leaks are to happen and left a pretty large gap that we have to fix ourselves with backer rod. The time they had to come back out, we were told 230 to 430. I called Precision at 420 to ask if they were even coming and Tabitha told me they had a 3 hours window all of a sudden and she would have the guys call me. By 610, we didnt hear anything and no one showed, so we continued with our day. They called us around 620 saying they were at our home waiting for us.. That is 2 hours late. We took the last half of our day off to have them come when we could have just worked. Like I said, no communication what so ever. I WOULD NOT ever recommend this company to anyone, especially if it is through Home Depot. read more

I hate giving small businesses a bad review, but this company cut my long countertop short by a foot and had already removed both my countertops so I had to go 2 weeks with my kitchen completely torn up and nowhere to put my appliances. I also had nowhere to prep for cooking. I understand that there was a "pandemic" going on and backlog of products but the least they could have done is give me some kind of discount for the inconvenience. Nothing. Are you willing to gamble with your time and well earned money? Good job doing your due diligence and looking into reviews...I wish o had. Countertops and backsplash were installed in our kitchen - scratches on multiple quartz countertops. They send someone out to assess/fix...not fixable. I'm asked how much compensation it would take for me to be ok with the damages. I say most of the 11k we saved up for this project. New countertops are cut and come out in a reasonable amount of time. We set them up on sawhorses and cleaned. More scratches visible in seconds on all of the remanufactured countertops!! These obviously go back. I have a talk with multiple staff about their quality control and that their waisting my time. I'm practically begging them to check the product before sending it out. I'm assured that it would be checked and all will go smoothly. I also inform the staff that if I receive more of the same quality of quartz that I will be done and expecting a refund. Round 3 - more scratches!!! Now it's just a joke. Their staff now say it's the CaeserStone product and this is the best I'm going to get. I'm told they will give me a thousand dollars and I should accept it. I say no. She then offers 3k after consulting with her team. I again say no and that I want them to either put in smooth countertops or to tear everything out and give me a full refund. I then call other countertop companies in the Portland area who carry the same product and ask if they've had issues with this product. They all say no. I tell one of them about what's happening and they suggest I contact CaeserStone directly. I do and am put in contact with a local rep. She comes out and confirms the scratches and states that this issue definitely came from Precision. Without my knowledge or agreement money is refunded to my credit card and I received a voice message telling me that she hopes I find the countertops I'm looking for. I immediately send a text about how confused I am by this and nothing I agreed to. I'm eventually put in contact with someone else who eventually stopped replying to any of my calls or text messages. I contact the CaeserStone rep again. The rep gets her supervisor involved and eventually they tell me that the company hasn't handled this well but they can't force them to do anything. I get connected with the customer service manager. I'm refunded for all of the countertops, manufacturing of the countertops and the tear out. THIS TOOK ALMOST EXACTLY 1 YEAR Now to replace the countertops I would have to pay the plumber (again) and hope that the backsplash isn't damaged during the tear out. Go elsewhere and don't gamble on this company that lacks integrity when they make mistakes. Needless to say, I will not be giving this company my business in the future and will encourage those I know to avoid Precision Countertops. read more

Do not buy your tile for your backsplash for your countertops through precision countertops because they do not help you with return of two cases that they ordered too much of backsplash tile for the project. I gave them the dimensions. We ended up with two cases of tile to be returned and they said it was our problem that they would not help and do not have anything to do with that and they won't help in the return process to the tile distributor. This company is unbelievably inept. I hired them (they were in the only game in town in Omak, Wa., and not only did the installers fail to place grout, around the backsplash or do any of the cleanup or finishing, they put one narrow piece of quartz hanging on 3/8 inch of cabinetry -- not kidding -- so it fell off. This piece should have been cut as part of one large piece not as a patchwork quilt of little pieces but I was told that they could not do it with Dektron. In that case I should have been offered a different product for the kitchen layout. Not only that, when these clowns came to the house and unhooked the sink, they left water running and placed a bucket underneath the port in the wall to catch it. Had I not been home, it would have flooded my house. When I complained, Precision offered to have them come back. No way! I hired someone else. But now we're dealing with the problem of the part of the countertop that fell off. If you want a lifetime of hassles, shoddy workmanship, and a lot of grief, hire these clowns. It is not worth it. They take forever to schedule. The customer comes last. They are poorly trained and should never be allowed in a house or business. I'm filing a complaint with the state Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. I"ve lost too much money with Precision and Home Depot's poor choice of business partners. read more

We were saddled with them through Home Depot kitchen project. Gentleman came out and measured a week later they came back to install. Went to place sink into the counter and the measurements were incorrect and sink hole cut too big. They replaced the sink with a bigger sink. OK but the cuts were not right and the sink is not centered. Called back and they finally said they would send someone out to look and to measure again to see our issues. Sent the same person out who also saw the crooked cut for sink hole and that it did not center sink. He apologized but then went back and told the counter people it was off smaller measurements then the ones he took. They offered to send out plumber to pull sink out and try and center but he would not be able to fix miss cut. After much deliberation we did not want to take the chance it would be worse and told them to not send plumber. Very disappointing that the final piece of a kitchen that cost so much both money wise and workwise finished this way. Stay away from this business . read more

Precision Countertops recently installed the counters we purchased at a "Big Box store" and, we couldn't be more pleased. Initially, there were some issues that were the result of a poor cabinet installation by a different contractor who failed to level the cabinets. Precision countertops suggested a local contractor who was able to correct the issue and once that happened, the template was made and shortly after our beautiful counters were installed. The installation crew was very courteous and professional and installed our oversized granite counters without any problems. My only gripe was having to pay a second templating fee after the initial issue was identified with the (not) leveling by the previous contractor. read more

I did not notice this right away.... somehow because I didn't notice it right away means that their bad work is my problem and want to charge $200 just to fix their "precision" work. Do not use them as a simple fix could solve the issue. Now whenever anyone comes over I am sure to point out the "precision" work that Precision Countertops does.... again what a joke. Precision Countertop has been a fantastic company to work with. I ordered through Home Depot, and they were the company that was selected to provide the service. They contacted me immediately, letting me know that they were there to help. It took several weeks to get our cabinets and be ready for the countertop. They sent me a text every couple of weeks, asking how everything was going. Once ready, they sent out a man to come take the measurements and complete the order. Our countertops were ready to be installed in a couple of weeks. All employees and contractors were very professional and communicative during the entire process. Customer service is so bad that I canceled job before in went into fabrication. T Both Raquel and Sinnea refuse to give out info on managers names as well as status of my job. They only schedule by text not by phone and if you can't do service when they choose you have to call them and then they text you a new date which might not work either ..then repeat the above until they pick a date at random that works for you. What should have been an enjoyable experience for my wife with brand new countertops was a nightmare. 1) Cody the asshole showed up complaining of long drive (took wrong route & tried to charge us for extra miles). 2) Rude to my wife & neighbor throughout the measurement process. 3) Told us to return the sinks we bought & buy from his company. 4) Told us sink removal would cost us extra $250/sink (4 sinks), then amazingly lowered to $167/sink. We ended up doing our own removal even though removal was in our contract with Home Depot. 5) Demeaned us at every turn including telling us to change the color of our countertops. 6) Tried to upsell everything. 7) More rudeness from Asshole . 8) We were stuck with Fuckface Cody to come back for the install. Disaster. 9) Drilled countertop in guest bathroom through wood that prevented a seal for the plumbing. We believe he did this intentionally. 10) More complaining. 11) Tried to talk us into moving the sinks for more $. 12) Unprofessional & shoddy installation. 13) More rudeness... Completely dissatisfied with my countertops, the guy doing the templating didn't tell me one of my cabinets was not set square to the wall, would have been an easy fix. The countertops were installed, then it was evident, I have a half inch gap next to the range in front and zero going back to the wall on the range side. I paid to have the range install, it was so tight the install chipped the opposite corner off. Now I have $3000. worth of countertops with a damaged corner. Anthony and his assistant, Steve were amazing for our countertop install! We were doing a coutersplash that had a lot of on the job tricky aspects to sort out! Our walls were not straight, we have a glass rinser that took up more space than measured for, and matte black counters that could have been ruined by clear caulk. We were so impressed with their advice and communication on the job! Very grateful they were here to make our counter dreams come true! They tried to install it anyways- I refused and almost had to call the police since the worker became nasty and argued with me. Chelsey M in their customer service department is a joke. I believe that she just be the owner's daughter since she is always on lunch and so incompetent. I asked to see the slab since they delivered the wrong color and dropped it. She sent a "virtual install" not the actual slab. Trying to converse with her is like someone who does not speak English- even though she had no accent. They also came out measured and overcharged for more square footage- crooks. Go with precision and you'll get precisely bad service. read more

We had Precision install our countertops in 2021 and they did a great job, however some of the grout came loose within the first year. Their return service and warranty is great. My business ordered a countertop from Sherwood Home Depot, which they sub-contracted with Precision Countertops. We requested they visit the job site to ensure they could produce the counters to specification. We specifically requested "No Seams" in the laminate counters, as the 30 year old original counters DID NOT have seams. We were told by Sherwood Home Depot, that a non-refundable fee of $200 was required for Precision to visit the job site for a 5 minute visit! So, not wanting to throw away $200, we sent photographs and dimensional drawings to both Sherwood Home Depot and Precision Countertops. We had to continually push to get any information from Precision regarding the seam question. It always came down to paying the $200 non-refundable fee for a site visit or pay Sherwood Home Depot the full price up front so Precision could schedule a visit. We should have known better, as we have never in all our years of business, had any company demand what Precision Countertops and Sherwood Home Depot was demanding. Sherwood Home depot then told us to deal with Precision directly. We were given a contact phone number and name. We called Precision and got the exact same information from the exact same script. Pay the $200 non-refundable fee or pay the full amount up front and wait for their "templater" to visit the site and give a final decision on the seam question. So, after more than a week to get this information, we decided to pay for the entire job up front and have Precision send out a "templater" who would tell us if it could be done without seams. I asked Sherwood Home Depot what the process was if Precision decided that it would require seams, at which point we would cancel the job. I was told they would issue our company a full refund. Since the rental home belonged to the Home Depot District Manager, we assumed it would get a higher level of attention. Reluctantly, we paid the nearly $2,000 up front. Within 24 hours, the funds were removed from our business account. Almost immediately, I received a forwarded email from Sherwood Home Depot, in which Precision Countertops stated they could not produce the counters without seams! Even though the original 30 year old counters did not have seams! Magically, they rendered this decision after weeks of refusing to visit the site are respond to the photographs and drawings. Amazing how fast the can respond AFTER pulling $2,000 from your bank account! Upon receiving that email from Precision Countertops, via Sherwood Home Depot, we immediately requested a full refund and were told it would "take 7-10 days to process. . . maybe longer because of COVID." The funds were electronically removed from our business account within 24 hours with COVID! It's now been 21 days, as of today, and not a word about our money. Sherwood Home Depot refuses to respond to our emails. They transferred me to the store manager, who then hangs up without speaking to me. We called the Home Depot Corporate Customer Service number and, after nearly 30 minutes, were told they would get back to us within 3 days! In the interim, we have filed a dispute with our bank, who is working on a fraud case. They will replace the funds and then go after Sherwood Home Depot for full restitution. Sherwood Home Depot called us after the dispute was filed and requested we drop the dispute. However, we have been advised by our bank not to dismiss the dispute until we actually have the funds in hand, so the case is proceeding. We have full receipts, emails, bank statements, etc. Neither company has a leg to stand on! We told Sherwood Home Depot and Precision Countertops that this is EXACTLY what we wanted to avoid by having someone visit the site for 5 minutes and render a decision. So, if you are considering ordering counters from Precision Countertops and/or Sherwood Home Depot (or ANY Home Depot for that matter) think long and hard about it. If they will treat a business that is working on their District Manager's rental property this way, how will they treat you? BUYER BEWARE! read more

Just completed a purchase and installation of new quartz countertops for our kitchen and baths. This company is absolutely amazing and professional from visiting their huge showroom, where Garth walked us through the myriad options, brands and all the small details that would insure success. Between the showroom displays and their huge stock selection, we selected a slab to order and, amazingly, they had a half slab for both baths that was perfect and saved us money. Next, Peter visited our home and did the templates for the sinks and double checked our dimensions. Again, just an absolute pleasure. The two installers just left. They demoed the old tops and backsplashes working as a team and again, we're totally professional, polite and friendly. Everything, including the quote way exceeded expectations !! The template visit and the installers were excellent. However the scheduling was ridiculous and mean to the installers. I believe the installers were subcontractors. The installers were from Medford and our kitchen is in Klamath Falls. The original installation date was canceled due to "weather" The scheduler called and stated the new date. I said that a big snow storm was coming then. She said that the date was final. The time was to be between noon and three o'clock. The installers called at 10:00 and said they would be late and they had another job before ours.. It turned out that they were late because their boss had to get them snow chains and driving time from Medford was three hours instead of the normal 1.5 hours. They called around 4 pm and said they were coming right over. Just before 4:30 pm they called and they were sliding on the streets and had pulled over. Apparently they had no experience with chains and it took.them an additional hour to chain up. When they got here it took another half hour,as the rear door could not open. The installers worked hard, and completed the job around 9pm. They required that our door be open on that snowy evening when it was around 30 degrees. It did stop snowing about 8:30. Imagine requiring installers to do this job on one of the snowiest days of the year. They worked at least 12 hours that day with a substandard truck. The two installers did an excellent job, even considering a wavy walled one hundred year old house. How could the management be so.Insensitive to the installers and schedule without regard to the working conditions. read more

The way it works here is you start with your measurements, pick out your materials, and get a price. You pay a deposit, and then they come out and measure precisely. The contract says that they will tell you if the price will change due to the new measurements so that you can decide to still go ahead with the project. In my case, I didn't get any notice about a price change after the measurements, but got a final bill over $500 higher than the contract after the work was done. They said it was because of measurement discrepancies, but couldn't even show me which one(s). Not OK!!! I had to fight with their sales manager to get them to stick to their price. To be fair, the kitchen counter top installation looks great, and their tile guy that did the back splash time did a phenomenal job. They also did the counter top in the adjacent bathroom, and it looks like what you see in a gas station bathroom. The back splash used the same material as the count top, and they used 1" pieces so looks really clunky. Supposedly they couldn't get it in 1/2". Guess what? That can be milled down to 1/2". Lastly, the fit & finish is awful (see photo's, see the big gaps?). I called and emailed my sales person and the project manager multiple times about the bathroom, and never got any response. They charge on the high side, so there's no excuse for shoddy work, and there is no customer support when they make a mistake. read more

The selection and quality of granite available at precision countertops was amazing, however when the installation crew put the countertop into place they left huge gouges in the drywall on either side. They said this was the template person's fault and that they weren't left enough clearance. I would have been fine with this if precision countertops had been easy to work with to have a repair done, however Dustin (who deals with all damage issues) first told me that this was to be expected with installation, and that I should have been given paperwork on this. Why would I expect a countertop installation to damage my walls to the point that it would cost several hundred dollars in repair? When I told him that I had not been given this paperwork (I carefully re-reviewed all documents and emails I had been sent) he then tried to tell me that this was a remodel and my walls were being redone anyway. This was not the case, this was a new buffet addition and I wasn't doing anything to my walls. Eventually they sent someone over to repair the drywall damage, but when I called back to ask about someone coming to paint the repaired area Dustin tried to tell me that I should have paint already from when I remodeled my house seven years ago. Even if I did still have that paint, which I didn't, it would've been dried up. And even if it hadn't been dried up they should still be making it right. Eventually someone else called weeks later because I hadn't settled the rest of my bill with them. I ended up agreeing just to have the price of paint taken off my total. Now I have to go out and buy the paint and paint it all myself. Not happy at all that they did not make this right with me. The countertop itself does look good though so at least there is that. read more

I purchased my counters through the Home Depot. But like any box store, friendly and took my money. But we're a little short in explaining details. However, Precision Countertops were sent out to measure, quote, template and provide me with color and material options/samples and all the details. They were very helpful. I purchased granite countertops for my kitchen and solid surface countertops for all three bathrooms. It was a big project and I was even able to purchase my new sinks (kitchen & bath) and faucets all from the one sales person who made the visit to my house. After in house ordering/measurements, it took about 30days before instal...this is the longest part of the process. However, Countertop instal was done in one day with two crews (one ripping out and replacing Kitchen and the other in the bathrooms) and a second day for all new plumbing and facet instal. Love the look of these new countertops, just wish I knew about how available this kind of upgrade was awhile ago. Should have done this years ago. read more

The installation was fast and looks good but there were a few things with the ordering process that made me feel like we didn't have choices and left me feeling like a second class customer despite paying $6000 up front for high grade granite. The consultation guy said his truck was full of color samples but later refused to bring out more than the initial two boxes- one of granite and one of quartz- even though I asked for more color options. The samples he brought were mostly too cool toned for my wall color. Of the boxes he brought only one matched the room at all so that's what we went with. It's fine but not necessarily my first choice. He said he didn't like having to bring out a whole bunch of samples. Um okay? Everyone else I know who used this company got to pick out their specific slabs. We were just sent a digital image. When I requested a different slab because one had a blobby pattern I didn't like I was told no. The rep, Alayna, told me in a condescending and annoyed tone that's how it goes with natural stones. So you really only have this one piece though? I felt like I had no recourse because we had already paid in full. We ended up just rotating it so the brown blobby part wasn't front and center but that made the seam look awkward. I asked the consult guy about backsplashes and he told us we should just do it ourselves to save money and wouldn't go into any options at all. We didn't tell him a specific budget, he kind of just assumed from the beginning that we couldn't afford anything which is not true at all. Meanwhile we're left with ugly ripped up walls above our beautiful new countertops and have to figure out what to do now. It would have been nice to have it all taken care of at once. All in all they are still very nice countertops but I can't help but wonder why I felt such a lack of choice and like they were doing us a favor even taking our order. I suspect it's because my husband and I look young and we're renovating a smaller house. We were not given the same level of service as people who recommended this company to us despite having a more expensive price ticket than some of them. Edit: I feel the reply misconstrues the issue. I do understand the nature of stone and do not feel the it's a 'blemish'. I would say all three of my slabs have definite blemishes and only one really bothers me. The issue is everyone else I know who used Precision was able to choose their slabs, I believed I was going to have that option as well. Instead I was sent an email telling me what my slabs were and when I didn't like one the rep seemed inflexible, the best I could get was a rotation. I didn't like the way one piece was marbled and it had more brown than the other slab. I would have chosen two more marbled and less brown slabs if I had been given the same options as the multiple people who recommended you to me. The consultant would not bring out more samples so I chose the only one that worked with the room out of the two boxes we were shown. I didn't love the brown but was assured I would have a say in the slabs which I did not. There is no need to reach out regarding the backsplash as it is now already a two step process we would prefer to look elsewhere. read more

This was my second time receiving kitchen countertops from Precision. The first time was in 2010 on a different house, and we had gone through Home Depot. They did such a good job the first time around. This time I went directly through Precision Countertops, which personally I thought was way better. First let me say that every single person I talked to on the phone, met in person, and worked with in my home was absolutely AMAZING. I met with Andrew to go over the design and pricing. I knew ahead of time the quartz counters I wanted were on backorder, but I totally understood and was very willing to wait. Once I paid my down payment, I promptly received a call from Kaylee, my project coordinator. Everything was explained well in advance on what I needed to do to be ready for measures and install. Any questions I had were always answered right away, and always so kindly. PLEASE people, read your emails and ask questions if you aren't sure. Almost all the reviews I've read where people are slamming Precision could have been avoided had customers been communicative and understanding of normal processes. Again, everyone who came into my home for measures and install were totally awesome and wonderful. Part of the subway tile backsplash I chose was on backorder by a few months, and guess what? I didn't throw a temper tantrum while waiting for it. I truly understand that sometimes these things happen, and I was offered different products by my project coordinator that would have been in stock. I chose to wait, and had no issues with it. Our quartz countertops and backsplash were installed beautifully, and with no issues. Again, everyone was wonderful. For those of you who read the negative reviews and don't stop to consider both sides....here's an example for you: If you order a 50 cent cheeseburger, you only need to wait less than a minute for them to hand it over to you. A really awesome, mind blowing cheeseburger takes a few minutes to make. Just a quick metaphor for common sense. :) If you want a gorgeous, amazing product, let people do their job and don't be jerks about waiting for it. I wished I had checked out the Yelp reviews before even agreeing to let Precision step foot in our home. First of all, scheduling is a nightmare. To even get someone to measure took two weeks. The first templater apparently was incompetent enough to get it wrong so they sent a second person two weeks after that. Then another three weeks for installation and I was told I was given the wrong date two days before I thought they were coming. Then, they fired Jenna the scheduler and all of a sudden no one knew what to do. More delays. That's when I decided to deal only with the Manager, Jason, who I thought would be more competent. The first installation produced patterns that did not match on the seams (it was so obvious, even the installer said, "I wouldn't take this if I were you."). The slab was also cracked on the left side. Furthermore, on the island, they measured one section wrong by half an inch! They told me to just patch it with wood, and we refused. They took back all the defective pieces and ran out of slab so we had to pick out another one. You guessed it, this took two more weeks! The day of the second installation finally arrived and I really wanted it to work because it's been three months since I've been able to cook, wash the dishes or get water from our filter. There was yet another crack almost the same place as our previous one by the sink and the island one was patched with mismatched piece of granite AND the gap was now on the other side. We told them to take everything out and never come back again. While you're at it, stay away from Home Depot. They're the ones that work with Precision. If you're looking for unreliable, unprofessional, uncommunicative, and thoroughly shoddy craftsmanship, you have come to the right place. read more

We ordered countertops through Home Depot 6/25/22 and they contracted with Precision Countertops for the installation. PC finally came out to get their measurements, and then called us to pay an additional 430.00+ on 8/8/22. They finally did the installation 3 months after our order on 9/23/22. The installers broke a piece of the countertops backsplash, so that was an additional wait before they finished the job. They didn't even clean up after themselves and we found pieces of our old countertops and nails in cupboards and drawers. Fast forward to 4/9/23 when our range broke and we needed to buy a new one through Home Depot. Since Precision Countertops had extended our countertop too far (made it flush against our range), making it almost impossible to wiggle the old one out, and we won't be able to fit a new one since they're a little wider and the new countertop was extended further than our old one! We were told today that Precision Countertops told Home Depot that the customer has to tell them when they measure if we want any space beside our range, and gave Home Depot the name of a company we can contact and pay to fix it. read more

I don't understand the ratings. From the time I ordered the quartz at Home Depot to the moment the installers walked out the door, my experience was amazing. Precision walked me through the entire process. They arrived when scheduled. The did more than the promised. They left my kitchen like it was theirs. I expected good service. I received phenomenal service. I highly recommend them. read more

After waiting well over a month I recieved a call 15 minutes prior to installation time that they didn't put my countertops into production. My gc was there waiting and then had to come back incurring fees on my end that far surpassed the 200$ they offered me. Home Depot offered to match that even though it want their fault so kudos to them. A dominoe affect occurred and everything everything got pushed out 2 weeks. The communication and lack of empathy and openness to negotiating a fair reimbursable was absent. Installers were excellent. At least the laborers were top notch. Corporate needs work. read more
