Since this was our first home remodel, we leaned on his advice often--and many of his suggestions ended up shaping our home in the best way. Throughout the entire process, they went above and beyond. Anytime we had a vision, we could call Norman and the team, and they would find a way to bring it to life. Norman would come out, take measurements, and make it happen. When I wanted a custom bookcase, they absolutely delivered. That level of dedication and follow-through is rare. Wen also played a huge role throughout our remodel. We have been putting off writing a review because we wanted to share pictures after completing our backsplash. Neither of us write reviews very often, but this job was such a huge success so we needed to give them props. We are just going to list off what we liked... 1. Our kitchen is larger than a standard kitchen where all the other shops quoted needing 2 slabs to get the job done. Budget was the only shop that recommended using a Jumbo slab for our kitchen which saved us $$. 2. All we had to do is text Ian a picture of our kitchen layout to get a quote. We had a quote that same day. 3. Phone conversations were great! We had some questions about the edges and the free kitchen sink size (30" vs 32") they were including and they were responsive. 4. Easy process to get the ball rolling. All we had to do to get job going was put down 50% of the cost to have measurements done the following week, then they were out installing the countertops 2 weeks after that. 5. They showed up to install when they said they would. We were told installers would show up between 8-9am and they arrived at 8:15am and were done with our install about 4 hours later. 6. Cleanliness was exceptional - they even put cloth down to protect our flooring. 7. Our experience was so great and have been telling our friends about them if they ever need new countertops. 8. We are going to copy and paste this review into Google as well to get the word out. The sub who came was actively uncool but the folks at the office were perfectly fine to deal with. Overall I'd rate their service 7/10, their quality 8/10, and their value 8/10. Rick was on top of his game at all times. Always answered the phone or was sure to call back within couple minutes. Office ladies, and scheduler's were awesome. I really was happy with the installation and especially the installation crews. Great group of guys. Showed up 15 minutes early everyday with a smile, and ready to go to work. I'll keep this as brief as possible and stick to the facts. Macadam installed new carpet for us. It…read morewasn't a small job: we paid around $13k for it. We worked with Angel in the office, Sean in the field, and Jessica ran the carpet crew that performed the install. The morning of the install, Sean informed us they couldn't find the carpet. They lost the carpet! We had the house all boxed up, our dog and kids were away for the day, and we even had professional movers over to help disassemble and move a large entertainment center. Macadam eventually found our carpet, but two weeks had passed by the time it was able to get installed. This was not the only issue we had with Macadam. First, the crew took pictures of themselves pretending to play my son's guitar (and other similar pictures with our things). Jessica said they take pictures like that sometimes for their professional social media accounts. It made me very uncomfortable. Second, they damaged and repaired our bedroom door and never told us. The repair work is highly visible (at least it's low on the door). Third, there are visible seams in the carpet. Fourth, when they attempted to repair the seams, they asked if they could cut carpet from another part of the house to use in the repair. We said no. They ignored our wishes and cut carpet from several rooms when we weren't around. We know this because (a) they left carpet scraps from the cutting and (b) the area where the carpet meets the wall looks worse than before. Fifth, the carpet they cut from was in rooms with closed doors, including a bedroom and walk-in closet with laundry and pets. They entered closed off rooms without asking and performed work we said not to do. Sixth, even after the repair, there are still visible seams in the carpet. Seventh, we let Angel know about all these issues and Macadam offered what we consider to be an inappropriately small reduction to our bill (including a small cash discount and not charging us for moving furniture). FWIW, our interior designer, who has a lot of experience working on projects like this, thought a 50% reduction in the total bill was appropriate just based on the hassle caused by the lost carpet (ripple effect with other projects we had going on). She didn't know about any of the other issues when she made that statement. Given that the quality of the work was far below our expectations, the incompetence around losing the carpet, directly ignoring our wishes w/r/t cutting the carpet, and the invasion of privacy from entering closed rooms and taking pictures with our belongings, we will not use Macadam for a carpet project again. Moreover, I wouldn't let anyone from that crew back in my house for any reason. Two stars because even though this project fell far below our expectations, it's still nice carpet.

We needed some granite work to our exsisting counters as we were putting in new sinks. My husband asked around to a kitchen counter business we used many years ago and came up with the name/number of Jason Taylor. We called Jason and he came out and checked our kitchen sinks out and said he could do it. Jason has many years of working with stone but he started his own business a couple of years ago. Unlike most of them, Natalie was so chill and no-pressure as I browsed. I really appreciated that. Because of that, I trusted her with my business and went with her installers as well. Now her installers.. I was so nervous because I just put my faith in them to make 2 slabs work somehow on this large project with a fairly complex sink and faucet set up. They crushed it. What they did is literally a WORK OF ART. The symmetry, the precision. This is the centerpiece of my house now, where everyone likes to gather round.
