This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I took them a heavily modified Jeep…read morethat had some sketchy "DIY" wiring work from the previous owner. In the appointment I made with the owner Matt O'Bryan I asked for an assessment of all the work needed to make it right. The deal was to assess the truck and help me make a plan of corrective actions. When the tech called me he had not looked at half the things that I specifically asked to be addressed and seemed unable to answer basic questions about the work that was needed. I pressed him about each of the issues that Matt said they would assess and his answers clearly indicated he did not check them or could not understand the basic functions (eg: "I don't get the menus on that stereo, I don't know how to get the back up camera on."). At that point I realized this shop was incapable of the work I needed and told the tech I would come by and get the Jeep. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very belligerent Matt raising his voice and cussing about "the way I spoke to his tech". The questions I asked were specific to the work I had brought the truck in for, and while the tech was clearly embarrassed by his inability to address them, nothing warranted the belligerent response. He threw my keys at me, launched into a string of profanities as I started toward the door. As I got the door half open he started around the counter, screaming threats of violence. (It is amusing how some men "get tough" when someone is walking out the door. I closed the door and advised him to make his next decisions very carefully, to which he began yelling that he wasn't scared of some "faggot military guy" (I'm a 56 year old retiree wearing a flight jacket). Luckily, he chose to disengage and as I walked to my truck he continued yelling about my "faggot Jeep that looks like Micky Mouse worked on it". Ironically, that was precisely the work I was prepared to spend thousands of dollars to correct at Absolute Style and Sound. Whatever is going on at this shop makes it a dangerous place to take your business.

Years and years ago, before I even moved to my current home, I got tints on my new (at the time)…read morecar. Some of the tints started bubbling about a month ago on the top of my back passenger and rear windows. I called and scheduled to get it fixed like several weeks ago, and the time finally came. They used to be near the intersection of 193 and 450, only about 10 minutes from my house... they moved to Gambrills! And apparently it was right after I had gotten my tints done. The GPS took me on the backside, but their sign is fairly easy to spot in the middle of the building right off of Rt. 3. I went inside and said I had made an appointment. The guy took my keys, took my car around back, and then I had to hop on a work call, and thankfully they have a WiFi network and are willing to share the password. I hopped on, and I had to pause to answer some questions about the car and when I got my tints done -- and I realized it was 8 years ago. 8 years ago!!! I thought it was in the middle of the pandemic... btu this just goes to show that I have completely lost track of time since the pandemic. Wild. So I worked and a little over two hours passed by, and everything was done! The space inside is very open, and the couches are like the fancy massage ones I think -- but they weren't plugged in... yet. And they had a nice TV setup! There's one actual desk to work at, but I was comfortable in the couch. They could use more desks I'd say, but otherwise I like the environment. It's open and chill. They do a lot of custom car work and are professional. And they crank HARD when they're working in the garage. I was jamming to most of their playlist. Pay them a visit!

The CSR was top notch friendly and efficient. Yes, this place is a bit "casual". The customer lounge is definitely Frat House Chic and I got there by walking through the upholsterer's area (where I first stopped to chat with their tech who has been doing upholstery work for 42 years!) then down a hallway lined with furniture and foam rolls. This is an old school shop where they don't worry about having a latte machine or inspirational posters on the wall. But the Manager offered me a cup of fresh Joe from his Keurig while I waited for the urethane sealant to cure and every single person I talked to their was genuinely friendly. I actually spent most of my time pestering the tech who installed my windshield because watching him work was mesmerizing. This guy was a true pro and he never asked me to leave him alone (although he may have been thinking it). The prices are right, they do the job right and FAST and don't waste your time with upsales or brochures. Def the place for auto glass, tint or upholstery work. Check them out.
