Years and years ago, before I even moved to my current home, I got tints on my new (at the time) car. Some of the tints started bubbling about a month ago on the top of my back passenger and rear windows. I called and scheduled to get it fixed like several weeks ago, and the time finally came. They used to be near the intersection of 193 and 450, only about 10 minutes from my house... they moved to Gambrills! And apparently it was right after I had gotten my tints done. The GPS took me on the backside, but their sign is fairly easy to spot in the middle of the building right off of Rt. 3. I went inside and said I had made an appointment. The guy took my keys, took my car around back, and then I had to hop on a work call, and thankfully they have a WiFi network and are willing to share the password. I hopped on, and I had to pause to answer some questions about the car and when I got my tints done -- and I realized it was 8 years ago. 8 years ago!!! I thought it was in the middle of the pandemic... btu this just goes to show that I have completely lost track of time since the pandemic. Wild. So I worked and a little over two hours passed by, and everything was done! The space inside is very open, and the couches are like the fancy massage ones I think -- but they weren't plugged in... yet. And they had a nice TV setup! There's one actual desk to work at, but I was comfortable in the couch. They could use more desks I'd say, but otherwise I like the environment. It's open and chill. They do a lot of custom car work and are professional. And they crank HARD when they're working in the garage. I was jamming to most of their playlist. Pay them a visit! read more

I was in the area and looking for someone to install my subs for my car. I came across this spot and it had good reviews. I went in and the owner is a fellow Mustang fan so I knew I was in the right spot. They set me up with new wiring and connected my amp and sub. They sound great, they were not expensive and I am happy! Definitely will be going back to work with Mike on some more customization on the car. read more

A great group of gentlemen and experts at car audio. I recently purchased a 2017 Chevy Suburban that was previously owned by the police department. Car Radio, wiring, etc was gutted. Custom Connections installed a new touch screen with car play, reverse camera and more. They also installed a 12 inch subwoofer and Lastly they installed tints which completed the job. I dropped in (no advance call nor appointment) on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about window tinting for a newly purchased car - immediately greeted at the reception counter with all questions answered promptly. Expecting to have to make an appointment (I had an event to attend within the next 2 hours), I was surprised to hear they could take care of the job and have me on my way under an hour. Then, I was informed I was entitled to a free Jamaican dinner as it was "Plate while you wait" day. On short ordered, a piping hot meal was delivered to me with a bottle of water. I had to get my tint redone after removing it for inspection (moved from another state). Kim cleaned up the residual glue from the previous tint job and did an amazing job re-tinting my windows. I came in with a Groupon. I was provided full disclosure regarding the additional cost for darker tint. No hidden fees. And everyone working there is nice and helpful. I'm definitely going back for any auto body/tint jobs. The lady who answers the phone and works the front desk is the first indication of the professional type of business this is. It's not a seamless tint, and there are gaps at the top of the window. Guessing they did it that way for the longevity of the tint. We bought a groupon $89 for window tinting and when i called in to make an appointment for the service, a gentleman named Mike acted like they dont want to honored the groupon. He told me that with the groupon I am not allowed to choose the shade of the tint and the most ridiculous part is that they will charge me extra money for both of the rear windows, because it has a triangle window on the side. He told me they have a special promotion for $150 that able to get all the option i wanted for tinting, but i need to cancel the groupon. This place is doing bad business. This place did a subpar job on detailing my SUV. The trunk space was not touched at all. Tires and rims were still dirty and some exterior stains were not removed. When I questioned about these things, the person who did the work said I was paying with a Groupon. I don't know what that even means since the fine print did not say that parts of the car would be excluded. I have gotten a Groupon for a auto detail before and the work was great. I went into custom connections 2 weeks ago with an issue with the computer on my car tripping my kill switch and causing my car not to start. I initially thought the issue was my after market alarm as I have encountered issues with it previously and took it back to Streamline (the shop that installed the alarm) owner of streamline attempted to tell me that he thinks it's my starter in the car and would not be able to diagnose it til Friday, it was Tuesday. Mean while my car would only start using the automatic start on my key fob. So I then took my car around to custom connections explained the issue and he was able to reset my computer and resolve my issue within an hour. Caught a flat tire on my way home and pulled over into the parking lot of Custom Connections. One of the workers named Phil promptly came over and told me he could fix my flat. In 15 minutes he jacked up my car, took off the wheel, removed a large piece of metal from the tire, plugged the flat and had me on my way. The owner was nice and professional as well. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 1. The showed up 15 minutes after a scheduled appointment 2. The front desk guy told me that they do not carry 50% tint at all, which is the legal limit for vehicles in Virginia. Yes, this a MD tint shop, but when I scheduled the appointment I told the representative that I needed 50% tint. I was advised by that representative that I should get my vehicle inspected first, which I did. 3. When I explained this to the front desk guy, he stated that many people answer the phones and they are not familiar with the product, services, and regulations related to tinting The one thing that was ok was when an employee held the door for me when I ran out of that place!
