Great stop on our recent road trip. Huge salad, tasty pizza, excellent shrimp bisque and the best part was the open faced Tuscan. Yum! Love that you could select a bottle of wine from the store and enjoy it with your meal. read more

Great wine and beer bar. Huge in-house selection of fine imported beers. Grab a sarge burger, or my absolute favorite, the filet mignon.

A favorite stopping place. You can browse the wine isles and choose your own bottle. Or, the beer cave if you enjoy beer. We love the Taste of Italy pizza and the cuban sandwich or pizza. Have had the fish tacos, crab dip, almost everything on the menu. Tasty and hot read more

I'm in Ohio for work and Ray's has become my go to for dining in or carry out. I haven't had anything that wasn't top notch but my favorites include the pizza and fish tacos! Highly recommend! Great food, great service! read more

I went here last Friday with my daughter and son in law. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and easy. The place was crowded but we waited less than five minutes for a table. They have several craft beers on tap including local choices. The beer cave and wine selections from the shelves are outstanding. We had the crab dip appetizer and it was delicious. I had the Sarge burger- yum! And my daughter had the Asian salmon club- that may be what I choose next time. My son in law chose the BLT pizza and loved it. I can't wait to go back! read more

Nice, classy neighborhood place. Friendly staff & great quality food. Live music on the weekends & a cool patio. Casual but not a dive bar. Good place for a date night. Lots of extras at the shop within the bistro. read more

It was an interesting relaxed atmosphere...loved the beer selection and its fun to bring your beers back to your table after pulling them out of the cooler. The burger I ordered was tasty but small however the salmon was pretty good. Would go back just for drinks and possibly try the pizza which I heard was good. read more

interesting recipes = incredible food. clearly amazing selection of wines. service is wonderful. atmosphere is quiet, thankfully not a chain restaurant. And they serve Saugatuck Brewery Beer read more

This place blows me away! Great food that picture perfect on the plate. No other place can I shop for a great selection of wines and craft beers then sit in the Resteraunt and enjoy all or part of it before going home. To cool.... I'll make this place a regular stop! They also have all kinds of tastings during the week. Just get on the mailing list to stay informed. read more

Great restaurant! Have not been since the COVID pandemic... but will come back. The waiters and waitresses are a little quirky but terrific! Saturday nights they usually have a live musician. A very nice dinner place. read more

An unexpected gem to stumble upon. This bar/restaurant/shop is small but loaded with surprises. From their awesome menu selection to their vast collection of wines, crafts, and even a humidor cigars there's something for everyone. Trust me, make the trip and thank me later. read more

I ordered take-out food from here I got the portabella mushroom sandwich and an a la cart side of red potatoes. I received a jumbled up mess in a box that had 5 potatoes total for my a la cart $4. My sandwich was missing hummus and I had a salad that I didn't order with a dressing I couldn't eat. The food was greasy and hardly filling unfortunately. I will say though overall that there selection of beer/wine is top notch but that may be the only saving grace for the place. I hope they can turn the "food" side around. read more

Ray's is a nice, refreshing change of pace to all the chain restaurants and fast food joints around this area. Healthier options, nice size menu, and of course the outstanding selection of wine and beer! Highly recommend! read more

The restaurant looks very plain. Beer was very good. Soup ok. Pizza excellent. Service ok. Atmosphere very plain. It would be 3 1/2 star if I could give that rating. read more

First class wine bar with an excellent menu of food choices. The service is great also. Ray's is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood!

This restaurant had great service, great food ,and absolutely great wine! Very laid-back atmosphere the staff is friendly and very informative and detailed of their menu. Can't wait to go back again for a date night! read more

Another excellent meal. I just can't stop getting the Open Tuscan Sandwich. The Boss got the GF BLT pizza. Awesome. And of course there are the wine stacks and beer cave! And friend Jim had an excellent tropical stout on tap. Don't hesitate. You'll love it. read more

I live in the area and we definitely could use more restaurants like Rays. The food was fresh and tasty. Trout app was to die for and the pizzas were pretty good. You can choose a bottle of wine from the attached wine store and drink it there for a 5$ corking fee. You can also get wine by the glass and beer on tap or bottles. I wish that there had been a wine by the glass and a beer list because it's kind of hard to order when you don't know what you have to choose from. Only other thing I would mention is that there aren't a ton of vegetarian options: they have the usual uninventive mushroom sandwich and hummus dish that restaurants have for vegetarians: nothing original and not too many options for veggies read more

Ray's is awesome. You must go to experience the beer & wine store/restaurant concept. Great fresh organic food. Great beer and wine selection. Very helpful staff. read more

Wow! Delicious, fresh, tasty dishes, and they're organic! Staff is friendly and professional. Great draft beer selection. A huge beer cave! Loved the casual, comfy yet elegant atmosphere. I can see this becoming our new favorite place to eat. Hard to find a place like this up north of Dayton. Great sandwiches, pizzas and entrees. read more

Food was amazing, wine was amazing, and the service was absolutely mind blowing. I loved the atmosphere. I really can't describe how wonderful my experience was. Ray's made my 35th birthday one that I'll never forget. I will go back regularly. read more

Love Ray's. Great food, great service. Wine/beer/cigars on one side, full restaurant and bar on the other. Very unique and we always enjoy going there; it's an unassuming gem. read more

We took a chance on this new restaurant because it is close to our house. We couldnt have been more pleased, our expectations were exceeded. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Don't hesitate to visit this unique wine bar and grill. And we left with a case of wine too. ..the selection is phenomenal. read more

The food is TERRIBLE. I have been there 4 times. The first 2 times the food was bad but edible. The second 2 times (a year apart from each other) I sent the food back and couldn't even eat. The pastrami was 99% tough fat and there was a black hair in the store bought 'mix of greens' The last (and final) visit, the hamburger sliders that I ordered well done came out bleeding. Literally a grease/blood mixture was pouring out of the meat. Mr. Ray recooked the meat (sort of) and put it back on the rock hard, greasy, blood soaked buns I had initially. The music is cool. The selection of booze is awesome. But the kitchen and the people that work in it.....should reevaluate. Its awful. read more

Great service and good food. Watch out getting into the parking lot from the street...bump! I'll be back with my girlfriends!!

Took a wrong turn at the I-70 exit and decided to try this place. We love fresh, sustainable food. So glad we stopped. Multitude of wine and beer to choose from. I had the portabella with salmon. Fresh vegetables cooked perfectly. My husband had the burger special, he loved it. We will definitely be back! read more

I have lived in the Dayton area for years and I can't believe this place doesn't get more press. The food was great!! We had the salmon quesadilla and the salmon entree and they were both prepared to perfection. I can't wait to go back! If you are a wine lover, they have a great selection to choose off the shelf and take to your table. Bonus! read more

I went to Ray's this week as part of a Mom's Night Out event with a local moms group. There are not enough positive words to describe what a pleasant experience I had at this restaurant. The atmosphere was bustling (we were there during their Wednesday wine tasting) and I looked around. Everyone was happy. It sounds weird, but this is always a good sign at a restaurant. When people eat and convene if they aren't laughing, the food usually isn't that great :) When our party arrived someone greeted our table and let us know that all the vegetables were organic, all the meat was locally raised, the menu could be made gluten free or vegan and that they had organic and gluten free beers and wines available. I was impressed, but when I looked at the menu's prices, my jaw dropped. I had expected (upon hearing all the great things about the restaurant) for the prices to rival those of Olive, an Urban Dive in downtown Dayton. I was floored when the prices were so reasonable. Not only did our server come to check on us, but the owner of the establishment and someone who I assume was the chef or a worker from the kitchen. Someone from our party inquired about the potential for some hummus and veggies (they didn't have that as an appetizer but they did have the ingredients from other dishes) and the server let us know they didn't have that option but that she would certainly ask the Chef. The Chef sent out a duo of hummus and chips. My husband and I have not been on a date since my son was born 3 months ago and I informed him that when we do go out for the first time we will be going to Ray's! read more

Great food. Great wine! The pizza was very good, we love the cheese and cracker and fruit plate, but I especially loved the cream of mushroom soup!!! It was the soup of the day, but I wish it was a regular menu item! read more

After 20 minutes sitting at a table and no service, we left. Won't go back as there are way too many options where people are happy you are at their restaurant. read more

I have been here a couple of times. Food is fancy chef quality and different. Most of what I had was ok but not what I usually eat. Seems a little fancy for me as far as food. Wines seem to be reasonably priced and there is a good selection of them. Drop in and check them out. read more

Wow is right. Great menu - my buddy & I had a tough time choosing. I had the Open Tuscan Sandwich, based on another reviewer's recommendation. It was huge, fresh, delicious...I could go on. My friend had the Barnyard Sandwich - this is what a sandwich should be. Piled high with obviously fresh meets and a sandwich were you could actually taste the cheese. Huge beer selection - I had the flight, which was 4 4-ounce glasses filled to the top. We spllit the Salted Caramel Mousse for desert - and the server brought it out in two individual cups. Great idea, otherwise we might have had a tough time splitting this equally, it was that good. Clayton, you have a gem in your midst. read more

Love the food. Love the wines. Hidden gem. Must give it a try!

Great neighborhood joint. No fried foods just really good food. I love the twisted rueben. The waitresses are very attentive and fun.

Awesome place to relax with fine wines, beer and amazing artisan food. Love thst place.

Had lunch here recently and was not at all impressed. Food was tasteless and overpriced. There is no atmosphere, it was like sitting in a carryout to eat. read more

Normally Ray's is a wonderful place to dine and hangout. But on Wednesday this past week we had an experience that makes me wonder what's going on. We arrived and purchased some items to spend time on the patio with. After taking a seat we watched a waitress dressed in what looked like her pajamas come out and wait on another couple that had already been there. In the hour plus that we were there we saw her about 6-7 times but never did she approach our table or even ask from a distance if we needed anything. With the way she was dressed and her demeanor it made me think I was at home rather than a normal fine dining establishment. Only have 2 stars because we have had great past experiences. read more
