In addition to my service, I had an issue with my CEL and he took the time to explain the issue and show me the problem in the engine. For the first time based on a friend recommendation I took my car to Rays MBZ for an oil change and 10k check up. When I called to make an appointment I told him I need it to be done today because I'm leaving town tomorrow. He did his best to finish it today. One thing I really like about him he was very honest in the very beginning gave me an estimate and showed me what's needs to be done and how much. When I picked up my car he charged me what we agreed on and he gave me replaced old parts. For many years I took my Mercedez S550 to the dealer for repairs because the car was under warranty. The warranty expired and when I got the estimate from the dealer for the most recent issues, I couldn't believe how expensive the repair was going to be. So I looked around for an independent Mercedez mechanic to take care of the repairs. I'm so happy I found Ray's MBZ!! His location in Pasadena is very convenient, but more importantly, his prices were much more reasonable compared to the dealer. I literally saved a couple of thousand dollars. I had to so Service B2 on my leased Mercedes Benz. The dealer was charging over $800. I decided to shop around, and based on the reviews on Yelp, called Ray. On the phone, he knew exactly what the Service B2 consisted of. He gave me a price over the phone. I called him on a Saturday, 3 hours before they closed. He told me to bring in the car right away, and he would be done in an hour! MUSIC TO MY EARS! He uses all Mercedes Benz parts, and oils. He works with Mercedes Benz dealerships which are close to his shop, and is able to get anything quickly. Within an hour, he was done and I was on my way home. Honest, courteous, and knows his cars. I took my 09 S550 that I just purchased and had it diagnosed by Ray. He gave me Carte Blanche treatment from the start. He diagnosed what was wrong with the vehicle, which is to be expected when you buy used. Ray gave it to me straight without a chaser, which is the way I like it, no BS! I don't write reviews, but let me tell you. Ray is the real deal. I brought my '05 CL500 for ABC problems on Saturday 11/21/14 around 8:00am. Ray listened to my concerns, explained what he would be doing and immediately put the car on the lift, inspected everything, performed a Rodeo diagnostic, added hydraulic fluid and test drove the car. Problem solved. Low fluid level. Dealer wanted to replace accumulators, hydraulic pump and pulsationl hardware starting at $1,200 with no limit. I asked Ray how much I owed and He said nothing!! He said have a great weekend. I was shocked and amazed. I called my wife and she could not believe it? I know I have found my mechanic for life. I hope he can work on my other cars as well. Bow down to the Duke of Ray's MBZ....wait! I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. Anyhow, the front right (passenger) airmatic shock went out & my W211 was doing a lean to the front right. Funny lookin'... I had to drive 40min, risking damaging the car on the fwy to get to Ray. I coulda gone to local shops near me, but they didn't have my trust. I trust Ray. So far, he's been nothing short of professional & no BS! I asked him to look over the car for other maintenance issues & he let me know that my brakes are done & needed changing. I also did the tranny fluid flush service. On top of that, my service was due. A lot of things to do, you might say? Yes... But I left the car with Ray one mid-afternoon & said that he could have the car for the night & he can take his time for the next full day. Not only did he finish everything. He called me at about 1pm to let me know everything was done & the car, washed. I appreciate them accommodating me when I need a ride to work or a pickup from work. For the first time in 4 years, I took my 2010 ML350 to be serviced outside the dealership and I was extremely nervous. I found Ray through yelp and couldn't believe the awesome reviews about the place, so I decided to give it a try. Moving here from TX, I was very skeptical about taking my car anywhere else besides the dealership, but I was not disappointed. Service C, along with changing all four of my brakes were completed for a reasonable price and received an outstanding service from Ray. He made me feel comfortable about what needed to be done with my car. Thankfully, I didn't have to change my rotors as Ray was extremely honest about that.
