    House Cocktail: Rise & Fall

Rayo Bar & Lounge completely exceeded our expectations. We ordered a variety of the sliders, and every single one was spot on with perfectly balanced flavors, cooked just right, and served fresh. To pair with the food, we had the Whiskey Sour and the Mule. Both were outstanding, with the Mule standing out for its subtle basil note that really elevated the drink. We also tried the mezcal Desoulas, which was smooth, smoky, and a perfect match for the menu. Finished off the night with a house made cocktail - "Rise & Fall" - that was, just like everything else, amazing. Everything was amazing. The food was perfect, the drinks were creative and flavorful, and the atmosphere made it all come together. Highly recommend if you want a spot where both the cocktails and the kitchen shine.

Next time I come I'll be trying the fish o'filet.

Came in because I need to use the restroom and grab some fries, boy was I surprised! Started with the fries and as I read the slim menu I decided to grab a Caesar salad as well. The salad arrived and I was very delighted with the fresh finely shredded cheese and grilled lemons. As I tasted the salad, I was taken back by the flavor! There were hints of a seafood and pepper a perfect combination and balance. The fries were seasoned with fried seaweed, trust me it works! The service was excellent! The bartender was very friendly and polite. I was even able to meet the chef! The ambience was pleasantly pleasing and the music was not overwhelming. Overall 10!

    Do you see any fish?

They just started serving lunch at Rayo's and I was excited as I live 2 blocks away... But then I was so disappointed in the quality of the food. These fish and chips were a joke. Dry, burnt, barely any fish and $13.00!! Omg the worst. Also how do you serve lunch w/o Iced Tea ‍

Great new lounge in expo park. Solid bar program, tasty eats, good vibes. Excited about the newest addition to the neighborhood!

Once you get there, It feels like you're in the southwest or something. I like that you can go there just to have a casual drink outside or even a light study. I went here over two months ago so I can't remember the food much honestly, nothing there stood out like oh my god but I can appreciate their unique menu and fresh ingredients. I remember the server was kinda plain though? Didn't seem enthusiastic and didn't seem to know the menu well either. Overall I'd go back to try the food again but really to enjoy the vibes with some friends.

Started off the night with the mushroom croquetas which are locally sourced from a family in Rockwall. The orange sauce underneath was the standout and the dish had an excellent acidity to it. We then tried the duck salad which was my favorite of the night. The duck was tender and the pickled carrots mixed well with the savory taste. We finished with the pork shank pasta. I personally think the pasta was a little undercooked for my liking but it was still a good plate. The biggest highlight of the night I'd have to say were the drinks. Boom goes the dynamite is my pick but if you like sweeter get the velvet kashmire rita. Expect to pay $50-60 per person just fyi but worth it in my opinion for the ambiance alone.

This is easily assessable via the DART train as well since this is right across from the fair park station. We came in at around 10 pm on a Saturday and they had a pop up food event going on! We didn't try it but it looked and smelled fantastic, they collabed with a group from San Antonio. The atmosphere was between chill and lively and it wasn't too crowded. The Christmas decorations were a lot of fun. The patrons seemed to enjoy finer spirits and weren't there to get wasted. The drink options were impressive! They had tequila, mezcal, and sotol and we tried a bit of everything. Lots of brands I had never heard of before that seemed to be somewhat exclusive/items you can't find in stores. The bartenders took such good care of us (especially the guy and gal with the septum piercings--I didn't get their names!!) and had such extensive knowledge on the types of spirits offered. Turns out this place sends their bartenders to Mexico to learn about the distilling process!! They do have a food, cocktail, and non alcoholic drink menu. They also have an all genders bathroom. We will have to come back again this was such a great experience. 10/5 stars!!!
