This is a great place to grab lunch at during the middle of the work day if you have a big group. I stopped by DL Mack's with a group of 9 people and we were able to find seating easily shortly after they opened for the day. I recommend making a reservation if you are going with a group at a peak lunch hour though. We ordered the chicken tender appetizer and it was light and crispy. Chicken tenders in my mind are heavy and greasy but these were so much better! They were coated in a light tempura batter and honey. I also ordered the grilled salmon which came with Parmesan broccolini and mashed potatoes. I thought this dish was okay but at least it was beautifully plated. The salmon was a little undercooked to my liking but that is a personal preference. This was a short walk from the office but it looks like there is a parking garage nearby too. I visited on Friday evening and understood it would be busy, so I patiently waited about 15 minutes for a seat at the bar. The food, as always, was phenomenal, which makes this review disappointing to write. Unfortunately, the service at the bar was very inconsistent. The first bartender asked if I wanted a drink, and I requested water while trying to place my food order, but he walked away before I could finish. When he returned with my water, he walked away again. A second bartender eventually took both my dine-in order and a to-go order. Both meals came out at the same time, which wasn't ideal since the to-go order ended up sitting while I ate. Throughout my meal, no one checked on me or asked if I needed anything. I had planned to order a drink, but I never had the opportunity because no one came back. What stood out most was that the bartender who initially helped me repeatedly checked on the guests sitting around me, even asking the gentleman next to me twice if everything was okay, but never once checked on me. Only after noticing my empty plates for quite some time did he finally ask if I was okay, and by then I was ready to ask for my check. The food is excellent, but customer service is just as important. My first visit, when I was seated at a table, was a much better experience. This is my opinion but I did not like the Cesar salad, dressing was bland and my polenta croutons were soggy, and not cooked. I prefer crunchy croutons. The chicken meatballs came out raw. As you can see in the picture they are very pink. There should not be ANY pink in chicken. I told the waitress and she said that this chicken "comes a little underdone" and it's normal for it to be pink. She said they could remake it "to make me feel better". They brought out another set of meatballs that were more well done, and also gave us free fries which was very nice, but again reiterated that this normal "because of the type of chicken that they use". This seems very dangerous to be serving raw chicken and for the staff and kitchen to be uninformed about how to properly cook chicken. I appreciate the service staff remaking them for me and otherwise being very friendly, but this makes me a little more nervous to dine here. read more

Our waiter was welcoming and explained their Chicago style thin crust pizza concepts and we ordered a couple of different combos. WOW, very impressed with the preparation, our order came out just as we asked, and the results were super delicious, crispy and flavorful! Don't miss the Caesar salad with its billowy cloud of freshly grated Parmesan!! Very nice addition to the neighborhood, we look forward to retuning soon to sample more menu items and combos!! Where to even begin! Let me set the scene. It's our last girls dinner before 2/3 of us move away from Dallas. Reservation for our favorite spot is set for 6:45. We walk in, Manager Dylan guides us to what we thought was our table, but quickly turns us around and makes us wait because table was in fact not ready. Overlooking this, we eventually sit down and start chatting. Life is good. Then, our angel of a server comes over. HECTOR! What we thought would be our average girls dinner quickly turned into an experience of a lifetime. He was kind, attentive, and charismatic, starting our evening on an absolute high. Drinks flowing, food quickly being brought to the table, conversation getting intense (with Hector being involved ofc). Our night was near perfect, no notes. 7:50 roles around (an hour and 5 minutes after our initial reservation) and suddenly our table is being snatched away from under us! Yall ever seen the magic trick of the table cloth being snatched while all the plates remain? That was us. Mr. "Manager" comes over and attempts to politely tell us that our time is up at our table and another group is here for their reservation. We have yet to get our final round of drinks, to go food, and even the check! Since we're not here for a bicker, when manager Dylan taps the bar seats for us to relocate to, we do so without a fight. Hector, being the attentive and gracious man he is, finds his way over to us to continue the impeccable service. Without Hector and his fine dining experience, I have no doubt that we would have never seen our final drinks or boxed food ever again. He made sure that our experience ended on a high note even though our reservation was cut short. While Hector started as our server, we left as friends. Truly without him, our snatched table would have ruined our night but he made the night memorable and in the most high way. If you are looking to make a reservation at this DL Mack's, beware that you will get the boot from your table after one hour, but if Hector is your server, you'll have the best night of your life. I give 5 stars for Hector. 0 stars for Manager Dylan. Ps. Dylan, if you read this, I would highly recommend you read the book "Unreasonable Hospitality. " Could learn a thing or two! read more
