First time we visited this restaurant and i'm sorry to say I won't go back. The food is not amazing. The Mac and Cheese I have to admit is very good. But the fish and chips you can pass on. The batter outweighed the fish 3 to 1 and the chips (fries) outweighed the batter 10 to 1....you do the math. read more

my breakfast was definitely my favorite breakfast from any restaurant. great service and food. definitely worth going to.

Service was ok.. The hot chocolate with marshmallow is aaamazing!!! I had the French toast off course for breakfast pretty good!

The mac & cheese is exceptional. Salads are good, and dessert very good. I haven't tried enough of their desserts, but what we've had has been interesting, homemade, and worthy of further inspection. read more

A bunch of us went to Raymond's for brunch for the first time today. O M G! The French toast is hands-down the best we have ever had, so good, we ordered a second serving. Our table also had the eggs Benedict, Norwegian eggs Benedict, an omelette and the egg scramble with tortilla chips (I forgot what it's called), and everyone enjoyed their meals. I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I'm not sure what's a good coffee, but everyone else said it was very good. It was still busy for a rainy day, but our wait was only about 10-15 mins; very kid friendly (we had two babies at our table), and the wait staff is also very friendly. Definitely recommend because we will be returning! read more

This place is equivalent to a diner. I had the fish tacos which were more lettuce then fish, salsa, and guacamole all together. The waiter told me the tacos came with a hard taco shell and they came in fajita wraps. read more

Fun casual place, old fashioned ambiance...reminds me of somewhere I would have gone as kid. Good food, fun family place. Gets busy, so be patient. read more

Today I met with a friend for a Thursday morning breakfast 9am. The place was not crowded. I asked for a coffee. It came in a cute container but the milk was very cold, so when I added it to my coffee, it made my coffee immediately cold. I arrived before my friend so by the time she arrived I was ready for a refill on my coffee, but they never gave me one. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict. It barely had any hollandaise sauce, she had to ask for extra sauce, my BLT was fine but the waiter never came back to refill our coffee or our water glasses. Never asked if we needed anything else. I'm all about service. I love to go out to eat, intact I go out two times a day, usually lunch and dinner. I frequent places that the service is great. Service with a smile. My suggestion is a friendly greeting coming in the door, and a staff that looks happy to be there. read more

My family loves Raymond's. We go often and we've never had a meal there from appetizers to dessert that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. Great choices for everyone, including vegetarian. My favorite is their light and fluffy omelette with the house salad on the side. I can barely eat half of it in a sitting and whatever that salad dressing is, its delicious! Oh...and save room for the pie! read more

Went here today for the first time and had the best experience! Little bit of a wait but so worth it. Severs were great and always checking on us. I got the salmon burger and it was AMAZING! Everything on the menu sounded great and my whole table was satisfied! Definitely will be back. read more

This place isn't terrible. If it was located anywhere else, and if a bit more reasonably priced, it would be very impressive. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly. Here's my problem with this place: There tons of places to eat in Ridgewood that are first rate. I don't quite understand all the five star ratings, or the concept of paying $15 dollars for a burger in a place like this. Especially when it can only be described as adequate. There is no liquor license here. Ok, so they don't necessarily need one. I get it. But this is another reason that prices in this place are out of line in my personal opinion. One brighter note: I had the apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was amazingly good. It surprised me after a just ok main course. The coffee was also first rate. I wouldn't avoid this place for a lighter bite and to grab a coffee in the future. But it would never be my main event again. read more

This is our security blanket in Ridgewood. Consistently good food, service and little to no wait in Ridgewood for all hours of the day. I like coming here with my daughter alone because they really do help to cater to kids and the food is fresh and healthy (if you order the right things!). Sometimes, I think the menu is lacking but overall, it's worth the trip. Definitely skip the local pancake houses and come here instead for great pancakes too! read more

Have been here twice now for brunch. Some things are much better than others. I had an omelette today which was a little overcooked, but good. Home fries were perfect and the whole grain bread is a nice change from plain old white toast. Last time I had eggs benedict which was just okay. The problem with it was the small hard flat bread they use in place of an english muffin type. I really like the atmosphere and the service was adequate. Would definitely go again. read more

This place is in a great location and the decor is great. The management of the line and sitting can certainly be improved. The stuff varies some are excellent some need to improve it. The many overall is simple but great Bc there is nothing worse than an overwhelming menu. The food for the most part is good and the reason why I say this is bc it lacks consistency. I've had omelettes that are perfect and some other times they haven't even been what I asked for. However, there is a lot of potential and for the most part it's a good place but it's not living up to it's potential. read more

Very yummy food!!!! Will definitely go again !! Great cheeseburgers and salads!! Breakfast is great too !!!!

Excellent food and atmosphere! The huevos rancheros was delicious! The service was great! My daughter loved the eggs and grits! My wife said her home fries were some of the best she ever had! I surely will be back! read more

It's good, but not as diverse a menu as the Montclair location. I was surprised that they did not have the same menu. Service is good, food is excellent, I just would have liked to have seen a more diverse menu. read more

Montclair location is significantly better. Only thing that's great every time is their fried chicken on Wednesday nights.

I love Raymond's, especially for brunch. My only comment is that they recently changed the menu and I really miss the broccoli cheddar quiche! Please bring it back! read more

Raymond gets 2 stars for their exceptional decor. However, they get 0 for the taste and quality of their food. I have been there twice thinking the first time may have been an off night or the chef's day off. Both experiences were awful. Service is slow and quality is not great, It is a shame that such a beautiful looking place does not have the great food that the decor deserves read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Omelets are super fluffy and amazing. The iced green tea is perfect i wish i can buy a gallon for home! Service is not always amazing but I'm never disappointed in the food and thats all i mostly care about read more

My husband and I couldn't wait for the Ridgewood location to open as we love their Montclair establishment. We were not disappointed. Our server was so attentive, rechecking coffee and making sure we were happy with our meals. The prices are great so it makes a great family restaurant. The omlettes were delicious and the make the best hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows that you can buy and take home. read more

Visited a couple of times. Although they have a lot of servers, service is not good. Once we never got the soup we ordered, another time we got chicken soup instead of clam chowder. Food is just OK. Two stars for ambience. read more

Have only been here for breakfast services but always have a good time. Food is very tasty and the french toast is no joke. Tried the regular pancakes last time I was there and they were also very fluffy and tasty. Only negative for me is that you don't necessarily get a lot of food for the money, so may end up spending a bit more on breakfast than you might expect since you may have to tack on a few additional dishes or sides. read more

This place is ok, nothing great. I went for breakfast and ordered the eggs with home fries...I could have gotten a bigger portion for a few dollars cheaper at a diner. The breakfast menu is pretty limited, I think I will stick to diners for breakfast! read more

I went to Raymond's during LDW. I was expecting high quality creative dishes. I ordered the French Toast, and my BF ordered an omelet, my french toast was so over cooked in butter i couldn't even eat it. My BF felt the same way with his hash browns, way too much butter for our liking. The waitress was nice, the hostess on the other hand was anything but friendly. It wasn't even that busy where she was running around. I do not believe i will return. read more

Love this place! Great for brunch, but the lunch & dinner menu is also very good. The Juevos Rancheros is my favorite, i've never had better. The service was very good, and the staff friendly. read more

The food is good but many items are what I consider "Whole Foods" tasty. They look amazing but are a bit bland. My major gripe with this place is price. I had a ham and cheese sandwitch which came with a thimble full of cole slaw for$9.50. With 2 diet Cokes and after tipping I left aggravated and $15 lighter. read more

We had a delicious breakfast at Raymond's. The omelets are amazing! On another note, my daughter lost her wallet that day, not knowing exactly where it she lost it. Raymond's returned her wallet by mail. So not only is Raymond's a good restaurant, the people at Raymond's are honest and kind. read more

Although it is quaint, don't go for Sunday Brunch. Extremely noisy! Long wait. Food is ok, but would not go back.

The restaurant itself is cute, however, the limited menu leaves a lot to be desired for me. Nothing really special -- average in my opinion. I've been a couple times to both locations (Ridgewood and Montclair) hoping I'd start to like it. I won't be going back and I usual avoid this place as a possible option. read more

Had breakfast here today with my two children..my bill was $46.00, which seems to be on the high end. We ordered waffles(1 waffle cut into 4 pieces) pancakes and a burger, 1 coffee and 1 hot cocoa. The service was poor: the food took approximately 40 minutes to be served. The server threw my son's dish in front of me without asking who it belonged to, the waitress didn't ask of how our meal was or if we needed anything until we were finished eating. I ordered waffles and my expectations were not met, as they tasted like a greasy funnel cake at a carnival. My daughter was drinking water and no one refilled it and servers were not attentive to our needs. Ridgewood Country Pancake House has better service, price and breakfast food in my opinion. read more

Finally made it back to Raymond's in Ridgewood, this time for dinner. The service was night and day from the last time I was there. The waiter was attentive, stopped by our table multiple times to fill up our water glasses and checked on us after our dinner was served to make sure everything was okay. There is nothing negative to say about the food. Not a huge menu but I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. I've eaten in their Montclair location multiple times as well. Such a cute atmosphere at both locations. I have to give it 5 stars because I have never eaten anything that was disappointing. We'll be back. read more

What's not to like. It'd got a swanky dinner feel to it with home style cooking.

Went there today for breakfast with my family. The food was AMAZING i had the huevos rancheros and it was to die for. the service was seamless and on point the entire time, our server Dan was excellent and really made us feel as important as anyone else. The decor had a very New York kind of feel and made the place feel as if it had been there forever, even though our server told us it had only been open a month or so. We definitely will be coming back for more! read more

I used to think that $6.50 for a piece of pie in a "luncheonette" seemed a bit steep. But you are a fool if you don't RUN to Raymond's for the best blueberry pie you will ever have! Evey thing there including our server (Nancy) was excellent. Relaxed environment and fantastic home style comfort food (plus). Will be back soon. read more

absolutely delicious!!!! i love this place. the food is great and so tasty. I've never ordered anything i didn't like. great place for breakfast and brunch. the omelets are so fresh. get the french toes you won't regret it! read more

Waiter could barely speak English and messed up half the order, but the food was good and the restaurant overall is a pleasant place.

Went to breakfast today and found it to be incredibly overpriced. $5 for orange juice that was no more than 6 ounces. Hashbrowns are way too big, and resemble roasted potatoes more than hash browns. If you'd like to get a quick breakfast this is not the place to go. Plan on being there while. read more

Raymond's has quickly become one of my favorite spots for grabbing brunch. Located in downtown Ridgewood, the restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the food is even better. Their Norwegian eggs benedict is my personal favorite: smoked salmon atop potato cakes and herb hollandaise sauce. I've also tried their french toast which still remains to be the best french toast I've ever had. Overall, a great restaurant and reasonably priced. read more
