Jeff and Dan have been servicing my vehicles since 1996! You will have a difficult time finding a more honest mechanic. His prices are reasonable. I know I have always gotten excellent repairs at an excellent price. My only minor complaint is that it is now difficult to get in for an appointment because his shop has become so popular. He deserves all the success he has. While nobody likes car repairs, he makes the entire process less painful. I look forward to working with him for many more years to come. read more

I can't believe there's only one review of this business! I'm even more surprised how old that one review is! I discovered Rayco about 4 years ago I think. My only complaint is I don't live closer to them. Rayco earned my trust (which is a BIG deal when it comes to mechanics right?) when I visited them after visiting two MAJOR chains around here (don't know if I can name them here). Those two other shops kept me searching for answers because both of them quoted me high prices for a lot of work. The sad part was both shops gave me different answers to my car's problem! Both quotes were in the hundreds of dollars. Neither shop gave me an adequate explanation for all the work they quoted. It seemed that they were just quoting me an overhaul of some systems, kind of like shooting a bunch of arrows and figuring they'd fix the problem with a lot of ammunition. Ridiculous. I don't remember now who referred me to Rayco, but I was SO relieved when their quote was under a hundred bucks, and they plainly showed me what the repair was and time proved them right. I've gone back a couple of times for other work, and I've been happy with that work too. read more

Jeff and his guys at Rayco Car Service are spectacular! A friend of mine referred me to Jeff a few years ago and I have nothing but good things to say about Rayco! Honesty in the car repair industry is hard to find, but honesty and fair pricing is right here. I love that Rayco is located on the light rail, so dropping off the car for service doesn't mean I'm stuck or need to get a ride. I highly recommend Rayco! My son's car broke down right around the corner from here. We took it to Rayco, because it was the closest repair shop. Man, did we get lucky! Jeff fixed it faster than promised and for $100 less than he quoted me. He said, once he got into the engine, he realized it didn't need as many repairs as he thought, so that's why it was less. He could have charged me the quoted price and not said a word, but he was very honest and saved me $100. His honesty and integrity are truly appreciated! read more

I just took my car to Rayco for routine maintenance. I am impressed with this shop. Honesty, fair prices and good service. I will be bringing my car here from now on. The fact that this shop is located right next to the light rail station is a huge plus. I dropped my car off and simply hopped on the train to get to work. Easy peasy. Highly recommended! I should've left this positive review a long time ago, but Jeff has been taking care of me and my vehicles for over six years now. I started going here because of the recommendation of a close personal friend and I'm so grateful that they told me about Rayco and Jeff. Jeff owns this business and I respect the fact that he is so hands-on with it. You'll see him every day behind the counter without fail and he never tries to sell me a repair that isn't needed. He's even talked me out of a repair in the past that I thought was needed but Jeff kind of smiled and said "you don't need that". I love that he calls me if there is a newly-discovered problem that he finds (which is rare) and then he asks me what I'd like to do about it. He's great about communicating with people as a vehicle is being worked on. When I pick up my car he also gives me back my old parts that have been replaced just for my peace of mind. I'm usually not too loyal to any particular place of business, but this Rayco location is the exception. I've referred many of my friends to Jeff and they also had great experiences with him as well. I don't even waste my time taking any of my vehicles anywhere else.
