Beef Fried Rice
Kerry M.

Today, I needed a quick meal and decided to stop in for a "to go" order. I ended up ordering beef fried rice - which I thought was delicious! The staff were very cordial with me as well. While I just sat there and waited for my order rather than grabbing a table, I will say that the ambiance definitely seemed like a vibe - as there was anime on a large TV screen! I will surely try to dine in here in the future - if possible.

First time here. Had dinner with a friend. The ramen was really good. We both shared the gyoza & we had the green tea mochi for dessert. All very good! The restaurant is decorated with walls of Amine - super clean and lots of space. Mid-sized restaurant but does get full in the evenings. The waitstaff graciously walked through the menu & ordering process. I would recommend this restaurant for ramen!

Cute place with good fast service and good food. I could have eaten a bunch of the little skewers - they are on the very small side, but quite tasty. My husband and daughter enjoyed their ramen and I enjoyed the fried rice. It was a bit expensive for lunch though so we will probably go for dinner next time.

Loved the wall art, it was awesome. The TV playing anime was super cool too. Service was fast. Food came out fast and it was delicious, too! I especially liked the pork bao don. I like my takoyaki light on the sauce so I loved this takoyaki. Would totally recommend if you're in the area.

I had plans to take pics of my food.... Didn't happen. It was delicious though. The spicy miso Ramen and the Gyoza (steamed/crispy wontons) were both delicious. This was my first time having ramen and I enjoyed it. The inside was clean, maybe about 8 tables. There was really cool art on the walls of anime style characters, my son would love it here. Staff was very friendly. My only comment would be I'd like a bit more meaning my ramen, but the flavor was great *edit: I went back again. Took my wife and my son who loves anime. Black garlic ramen was delicious, the fries are AWESOME! my wife got fried rice with chicken and fruity boba drink which she loved. I took photos this time!!

I have never eaten food this beautiful and delicious! The flavor profiles are amazing, and it is layered. Meat is so tender! I literally couldn't stop eating one more bite. Took half home for midnight snack, lol!

Quality of ramen was not good, ramen noodles tasted super soggy, and broth was ok. Was not worth the price tag

We came here after coming back from Hawaii two days ago. We were pleasantly surprised…read more The BBQ short ribs were tender and juicy. The flavor was salty and sweet. The ones we had in Hawaii had a spicy kick at the end. These were comparably good. One flavor all around. No spicy after kick. The Kalua Pork and Cabbage was spicier than what we had at Hawaii. It actually tasted better. They added ginger and it was spicy. I liked the Taiwanese cabbage better than what we had in Hawaii, which was regular cabbage. The ribeye steak ramen was good as well. It makes me want to try the rib eye entree. I like the black pepper flavor. I took the steak out as soon as it served, so it would not cook anymore in the broth. I was impressed that they made it medium rare. The chicken broth was not too salty, which it can be in other places, so I was pleased that it wasn't. The menma bamboo was crunchy. Many places have it too soft. The black seaweed/wood ear like topping was also crunchy. The wavy ramen noodles were perfectly QQ or all dente. There were two doors to open at the entrance. Handicap accessible. No steps. Two gender neutral restrooms. Spacious. Handicap accessible. We found street parking right out front. We came at 7 PM on a Monday after the dinner rush. Our server was very attentive. He also answered all my questions. I asked it they were Pulehu Ribs. When he did not know, he went to ask his colleague. I would come back for the same dishes, get a bigger order of the short ribs, and try the garlic shrimp. Definitely a new staple for us. Before going to Hawaii, we never had Hawaiian food before. This was a good way to revisit our vacation!

Unfortunately, I wanted to love Qing Mu sooooooo much. I so badly wanted this to be my go-to spot…read morefor nearby sushi because there really isn't one close to me unless I want to drive into Media. The owners and staff are amazing and so friendly. They are extremely nice over the phone, upbeat and trying so hard to provide wonderful service and to simply make your day. This place has all the hallmarks of the most wonderful little Chinese/Japanese corner spot, family-owned, and small, where a repeat customer would eventually become known and their voice and face recognized immediately whenever they call or show up. All the photos and other reviews that steered me here had primed me for an amazing experience and my hopes were so high and I was ready to finally find THAT place that I could order from consistently for delicious, quality, fresh sushi, close-by.....but alas! This was sadly not the case. Everything I have said about the staff and the place are 100% outstanding, and maybe I was here on an off-day. Or maybe something was wrong or it was busy. I have no way of knowing. I will definitely try here again and change my opinion if I am nearby in the future. However, my order of chirashi was simply just one of the saddest and disappointing that I have ever had. The fish was not fresh, or at least not what I would consider fresh enough for sashimi cuts, there was barely any variety or color pop, no vegetable or greenery to offset, and I could not detect any rice dressing at all for the rice base for everything to sit on. Part of chirashi is the presentation, and while that's not a large part of the flavor, it's a large part of the impression. It did not look good, and very unfortunately, it did not taste great either. It was bland, extremely fishy (which I have no problem with), which denotes a lack of freshness, and had a slimy layer to it which it should not. I do feel like I should have ordered something else, like something in a previous photo or review, and that part is my mistake, but if it's an offered menu item, I would expect it to be just as good as their other dishes. The miso soup though, was great! Good flavor, tons of seaweed, and big soft chunks of tofu, which I love. Eventually, I will try Qing Mu again, possibly when the sushi itch strikes again and I don't feel like traveling far. Or possibly for traditional Chinese-American dishes. Who knows? I don't ever want my experience to end with a place that is so wonderful and inviting and caring about their customers to be such a disappointment when they obviously care so much about those they serve. If you are in the Havertown area, check them out, you may have a very different experience, but for now, definitely stay away from the chirashi.
