After sampling, this is what we have left. They're soooo good!

Somehow stumbled upon Mochiatsu in Media when I got detoured on the way home from Philadelphia Int'l. Airport. (Was driving back to Chester County.) I love mochi and donuts but never had this combination before. These mochi donuts are so good! They're like bubble waffles but in a donut ring They're mildly sweet and spongey texture like mochi but delicately crisp fried on the outside. The different favors are the icings that are only on the top so you can appreciate the mochi experience, donut crispiness, and the sweet flavor of your chosen icing. It's all in the right proportions too. The bubble donut shape makes it easy to share. You just pull apart the donut bubbles. No mess and lots of yummy goodness. The person waiting on us was very friendly and patient with us trying to figure out which flavors to go with. Honestly, any flavor there is a good flavor. Some of them even come with an iced cookie stick similar to a Pocky. The place is a small donut shop with a few round deuce tables you can sit at. We just did a take out order and brought our donuts home. These flavors are delish: Oreo, Mango, Matcha, Raspberry, Taro, Salted Caramel. We bought 1/2 dozen for $16.99. A bit pricey but so worth it. Our family of 5 ate pulled apart these donuts. They're filling and we didn't even finish them yet. Mochi donuts are not like regular donuts. Try them. You will LOVE it!!

Half-dozen donuts and Matcha Milk Bubble Tea

Glad we decided to take this tasty detour from our everyday donuts. Chewy, light (yet filling), and not overly sweet. They're pricey ($2.99 each, slightly cheaper by the half and full dozen), but fun for a special, visually appealing treat. Interesting flavor options (we tried Taro, Churros, Pumpkin Spice. Strawberry, Tiramisu, and Oreo), each expertly crafted. Pair the donuts with a bubble tea (LOVED the Matcha) and take it all to-go. There are a few chairs and small tables, but the ambiance is more takeout counter than cozy cafe.

Mochi donuts are my absolute favorite types. They're nice and chewy and cloudy (does that make sense?). Went this past weekend and grabbed half a dozen with a few bubble teas. Now, if you ask for my favorite, I don't have just one. I love the black sesame, the ube, matcha, and taro. I recommend just grabbing a half dozen or full and taking bites of each one. My mother in law came the next day and had some for the first time and fell in love. She kept coming back to the box and grabbing more "balls". Bubble teas/fruit teas - I would totally skip. They were SO SWEET. It's probably because they're made with powders and syrups and not fresh fruit. I can't wait to come back to get more donuts and try their hot dogs next time.

Got referred to this spot by my aunt who came for an elite event. So glad I came and tried it out! It's the cutest spot with seating. The service was good. I always say if the brown sugar or taro bubble tea is good, then everything will be! We got 6 mochi donuts to try different ones and they were delicious! My only issue I had with them were that some of them tasted the same to me. The coffee and Oreo donuts were the most distinct from the others. The ones that tasted in the same realm were the strawberry, funnel cake, raspberry and banana. Overall I was very pleased with everything! But I'll be back to update my review when I try the Korean Corn Dog!

A nice spot to grab a sweet treat that won't leave you feeling heavy. Both the inside and outside of the store are simple. The window seating is cute. However, the pink and white chairs need to be cleaned/replaced (that's my only criticism). The food options are anything but simple. This was my first visit. I got a classic strawberry flavor mochi donut for my son, a dragonfruit for later and I ate an Oreo Croffle while there. The donuts are on display waiting to be picked and I waited maybe a minute for my fresh Croffle. After sitting down and biting into my Croffle I said out loud "Oh this is good"! It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a hint of sweetness. The whipped topping was light, it added that creamy layer you need with a crunchy treat. And don't worry it looks like a lot of whipped cream but it's the perfect amount (and I'm not a big fan of whipped cream). I tried a piece of my son's mochi donut, it was good. The crisper shell hid a pillow soft inside. I wasn't very try fond of the glaze but it wasn't bad. I think the Croffle made me bias. To close this out if you want a nice treat without falling asleep on the couch afterwards try them out. They've got bubble teas, Korean Rice Dogs and other foods to try.

I've stopped into this location before to pick up donuts and it is so cute inside and the staff is supper friendly. Today I ordered delivery from there on DoorDash! Of course I got a few donuts (Raspberry, Churro, and Strawberry with Fruity Pebbles), but I was most excited to try the Strawberry Choffle - a sweet croissant waffle topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries! It was sooo so good!! I also love their flavored teas so I had to get a Lychee Green Tea. This is a great place to grab a fun treat!

I briefly stopped in to pick up some donuts and bubble tea. I was helped right away. I was impressed by the flavor varieties. I also like that I could potentially hang out here and share a snack with someone.

What?!? I don't have to drive into the city whenever my family craves these things?!?! That's a win in itself. HAHA, but in all seriousness, these doughnuts were delicious. Nice and chewy and not overly sweet. They even still taste great the day after. Drinks - ehhh, I wouldn't get again. No fresh fruit was used and just too much syrup.

The staff is so kind and the food was delicious! The corn dogs are so good. The establishment was clean and well kept! We got the strawberry green tea with boba and it was so refreshing!!

Donut menu, but they sometimes have others not listed!

Mochiatsu is a fun addition to the variety of Media's food scene. It's a limited menu of mochi donuts (delightfully chewy and so many flavors), Korean hot dogs (think corn dogs, but a rice based batter instead) and bubble teas. What they do, they do well! If you're ordering hot dogs, be prepared for a wait, these are made to order.

Absolutely unique food options. The mochiatsu donuts were spectacular and lighter than anything locally for donuts.

There is a reason this place has been opened in Chinatown for many years…read more They have great selection of bubble tea and other drink, and small snack that fills you up, the service was quick and food comes out fast, the location is in the center of Chinatown and inside it have plenty of seat for you to sit down if you aren't going for take out. The milk tea taste delicious, the lychee slush is also delicious, but what really is delicious is the popcorn chicken, I opted for the garlic and it's full of flavor, taste fresh and full of seasoning. Price is good. I would go back again

More like a 2.5 but I'll round up to a 3…read more Went here during a big Chinatown festival and was surprised it was pretty empty. Ordered a mango boba tea half sugar low ice, plus popcorn chicken and sausages to go. The boba tea was just standard boiled boba with no extra sweetness or infusion. If you like less sweet drinks this might work for you, but it felt pretty plain. They also use powdered flavoring instead of fresh fruit, which brings it down a notch. Food was better. Definitely Taiwanese street food style. The popcorn chicken had that classic crispy coating and seasoning, just a bit toned down in flavor. Same with the sausage, slightly sweet and savory but not as bold as I expected. Portions were very generous though, you get a lot for the price. Service was the main issue. The staff, who seemed like the owner, was very short and came off rude. I saw it happen to the people in front of me too, so I kept it quick and did not ask many questions. The space itself is also kind of dark and gloomy, but it is quiet if you want to sit and talk. Even though I ordered everything to go, it was not really acknowledged. When my food was ready, the owner actually came up and almost took my order away as if it was not mine. I had to stop him and point out each item line by line on my receipt to prove it was my order because he forgot. I understand food theft happens, but it made the whole interaction feel really awkward and uncomfortable. They also only give small brown paper sandwich bags for takeout, so if you have a bigger order, bring your own bag. Overall, I would come back for the food if I am craving Taiwanese street snacks, but skip the boba and definitely stick to takeout.
