Zero stars would be more accurate!!! We drove to Bruster's knowing that they closed at 10. We got there at 9:43pm. I felt bad enough going so late but I was not expecting that they would be closed!! Showed up 30 minutes before close and 9 minutes later 21 minutes before you couldn't order a milk shake even though teh machine had not been cleaned for teh night. Not the first time it happened and the customer behind me wanted a milk shake as well as was told no. Bruster's is always great, but the service lately has been especially good. Daniel is super friendly, patient, and makes the whole experience better. Recently moved to the area and kept driving by, so one day decided to try it! The vanilla ice cream portion of the blast mix-in was so creamy and delicious! I ruined it by choosing the m&m option though. Wish I had gotten something like brownies or oreos so it could've incorporated better/low-key melted into the vanilla ice cream. The m&m's just sunk to the bottom and wasn't great to chew at the end. The chocolate oreo was delicious as well! Recommend both! Needing a mid afternoon pick me up while on vacation in the area. We actually had to you turn and double back to get our ice cream fix and I am so glad we did. The menu is quite large with lots of sweet treats and ice cream goodies. On this hot day I went with something simple yet delicious...one scoop each of black raspberry dark chocolate and peach melba piled in a fresh waffle cone. Both flavors were delicious but were melting quickly because temps were in the mid 90's. I definitely recommend stopping by and giving Bruesters a try. read more

Bruster's Real Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Aston, Pennsylvania

We live half-way between the Brusters in Glen Mills and Aston. Since we do more shopping in the Glen Mills area we found Glen Mills to be more convenient. They were closed for a while and we focused on the one in Aston. We were happy when Glen Mills reopened. We tried it several times. Sorry to say, but their quality is not the Brusters we know. Along with the decline in quality, they very recently raised prices about 30 percent. I bought a half gallon of White Turtle at Glen Mills and it was mostly vanilla ice cream. It cost $20. Other purchases were Butter Pecan (with very few nuts) and Maple Walnut (with no maple flavor and very little nuts). We bought White Turtle in Aston before and remembered it being much better. I saw Aston had that flavor again, so I bought a half gallon today. What a difference in quality and it only cost $15.49! Aston has always had friendly service and really seems to appreciate our business. I also posted on the Glen Mills page. We are totally done with the one in Glen Mills. read more

As an ice cream lover, this is the best. Always fresh, and delicious. Not inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

My 11 year old will occasionally want to come here - and they are open all year -round (but of course, busier in summer). Prices are a little high - but ice cream, parfaits and other treats are very good and service is just swell. One day a week (Thursday? I forget) there is a deal if you BYOB (Bring Your Own Banana) for a cheaper banana split. I thought this was a scream - but we have never done it. Imagine... BYO Banana!!! Cracks me up. Also if your small child is under a certain height they get a free kiddie cone. read more

I had went here a couple years ago for ice cream cake and it was really good. Last week I was driving by and decided to stop and glad I did. I have been back since. The ice cream doesn't have that freezer taste like some of the places I have been to. Planning on getting an upcoming birthday cake here too. Definitely recommend. Great ice cream, definitely beats DQ. I usually get the peanut butter cup sundae and my daughter loves the dirt sundae. Great selection and huge portions. You can mix and match your scoops, and those scoops are generous. The employees are friendly and quick with service. The prices may be very slightly higher than some other places, but it's high quality ice cream and I feel you get what you pay for.
