10s across the board! Great customer service…read moreFresh, delicious baked goods Reasonable prices First time visiting, we tried half a dozen donuts, glazed donut holes, and sweet potato pie. EVERYTHING was amazing! Because it was our first time, we were able to select a complimentary treat. We will be repeat customers.

I've known the Phatso's name and their reputation for years. But today was my first time there. And…read moreI'll cut right to it. I have now sampled the button holes, the glazed and jelly donuts, and some of the sweet potato pie. Why the hell did I wait this long? I'll just give you my exact quote while tasting the button hole for the first time in their shop: "MMMMM... to hell with Krispy Kreme!" And my wife's exact words when i brought them home... "We are never going to Dunkin Donuts again!" My favorite donuts in the Philly area in recent years have been Beiler's in Reading Terminal. These are right there with them. I'm calling it a tie overall. But the glazed donuts might be better than anything Beiler's has if that makes sense. They make Krispy Kreme look like a two day old Wawa donut. Lawd have mercy! Get there early and don't expect them to have everything you want. They're small and they get sold out fast. But get whatever you can when you're there and just love it. As I was writing this I also took a bite of the Boston Cream donut. My wife and I agree. It's not too sweet which is actually perfect. They seem to know just how much sweetness works here. They're smart. I won't wait years to go back again. I promise.

I'd tried to come here previously, and the wait was going to be around an hour (at noon on a…read moreSaturday), and we ultimately gave up. This time, we arrived at 11 on a Sunday, and the wait was expected to be about 30 minutes. We decided to stick it out this time. Lo and behold, after 30 minutes, we got the call--it was raining so we hung out under a nearby awning-- and away we went to sit at the window counter/bar, which afforded us a nice view of people going in and out as they joined the queue. I now understand why people line up for this place: they serve an outstanding brunch. I had one of the omelettes of the day, which in this case was artichoke, bacon and mozzarella. While that may seem like an odd combination--I can't remember ever having an omelette with artichoke in it--it totally worked. In fact, it was one of the best omelettes I've had in recent memory. It also came with a yummy biscuit (especially yummy if you ask them to bring you honey butter) and breakfast potatoes (I accessorized their ketchup with a bit of hot sauce and bingo). My dining companion also really enjoyed his spinach, feta and mushroom omelette. Service was friendly and efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Prices are reasonable, and there are a whole lot of things that looked yummy around us, especially the challah stuffed French toast--I definitely wouldn't mind splitting that with a friend on a future visit.

Perfect for lunch! Wait staff was the best we've seen in a while, the food was served hot, the…read moreingredients were fresh: Fresh mushrooms, and fresh spinach in my omelette. Parking is a little difficult in this neighborhood, but we found a an open lot directly behind the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was a loud loudmouth woman sitting in the corner, who wouldn't shut up throughout our lunch- that was a bit disturbing. The restaurant was top-notch! Highly recommended.
