We sat. Others were served. We asked if we would get service and the waiter, instead of saying, 'hey, we're just really slammed, I'll get back to you asap' gave us the feeling that we were asking for way too much. Our neighbors, who had finished eating their dinner, on leaving said 'good luck!' They too were ignored. We saw him come and go - no eye contact which was not a good sign. Long story short we eventually did get served by a very apologetic woman and the food was very good. They partially comped the meal and offered free dessert which we declined. As a gardener the atmosphere is lovely. On this night, for us and at least one other table, the service was severely lacking. We would rather have been told from the beginning that we just couldn't be accommodated and we would have found another place. Would I give it another try? I probably would because everyone can have a bad night and the food was so good. One more thing - I ordered the Caesar Salad which said it was GF and did not list croutons as an ingredient. I would normally just ask them to leave them off but it did not say there were any on the salad so I didn't say anything. They offered another salad minus the croutons but I had already removed them. Ask questions, folks! Especially if you have special dietary needs.
