Devour desserts My overall experience with Devour Desserts has been positive over the years. The most recent was not a good experience and it was very disappointing. I ordered a baptism cake, custom design through Michelle, one of the establishment's cake designers. We communicated via text and I gave her the design I wanted, she gave me the itemized prices and the total cost. I paid, all good. The total was $100. Fast forward to the pick up day when we received the cake. The dollops were messy, all different sizes and forms, and they had holes in throughout them as if the piping had air bubbles. The flower on the side of the cake had holes and was sloppy as well, not clean. Whoever did the actual cake, ended the dollops up top rather than on the side. There's a special tool to smooth a cake out that they should have used and either the icing was too thick or the piping tools were cheap because they should not have bubbles. If you look on their website, the pictures look way cleaner than the cake I paid for. I texted the cake designer a few hours after pickup regarding the messiness. They did not respond so then I emailed a week plus later about the matter. I emailed about it and got a response from an unknown employee relaying a message that said, " I was able to speak with owner as well as the head decorator. I am attaching a picture below of how the cake left our decorating room and we apologize that you were unhappy. We have gone ahead and issued you a 15.00 refund to original payment method. Again, we apply for the disappointment and hope your event went well! Have a great day!" They also had a picture attached of the cake in their establishment. (Which still showed my complaints). I felt as though they look overlooked the fact that they had a messy presentation of a cake and blamed it on my disappointment. I emailed again clarifying that the $15 refund was for the mess up rather than my disappointment. The person emailing, who was neither the head cake designer or owner responded "I will pass along, have a great week!". I felt the sarcasm in their email, the back and forth in email with Michelle rather than a call from the owner, and the lack of accountability plus a cake that cost $100 that was poorly made is the reason I will never order from them again. Bad customer service and overpriced cakes. No one felt like "dealing" with this situation and it rubbed me the wrong way.

They offer a wide range of options, including size, shape, filling, frosting and more. Orders are taken via phone and website. In their shop, they also sell already made cakes, home made bakery and dessert items. Everyone at the store are very friendly and willing to help/answer questions.
Service and Ashton was wonderful. Misty was extremely helpful as we worked out the cake to make for my daughter's first holy communion. They can do so many things, and they offer so many options. The cake was wonderful. It was a two-tier white cake with vanilla icing. It traveled well, held up well for three hours until it was eaten. It tasted as good as it looked. Perfect cake, perfect night.
This is my first time ordering anything from Devour Desserts. I did some research for a local bakery with good cakes and found them in my search. I ordered a "made to order" cake for my husband. You need to order 48 hours in advance if you want to create your own cake. They also sell same day cakes. The process for ordering the cake was very easy. There were lots of delicious choices. My husband loves Oreos so the obvious choice for us was an Oreo with Oreo mousse filling and a chocolate whipped frosting. The Oreo mousse was sooo good. Actually, all of it was delicious. The cake, the mousse and the frosting. It was very rich, which we enjoyed! It looked beautiful and they wrote happy birthday on it for me! This is during covid so they offered curbside pickup which I appreciated. When picking it up, they picked up the phone right away and brought the cake right out. I ordered one size up from the smallest and it was $25. This cake was great! We all enjoyed it and we would all happily order from here again. The raspberry mousse sounds like something we would all be interested in! Plenty of parking. Lots of options when ordering. Simple online ordering process. Friendly service. Highly recommend!!!!
Wow. Wow. Wow! I cannot get over how amazing this cake tasted! All my friends and family were raving about the cake! It was soo moist and flavorful! Not too sweet. I got the chocolate chip cake with whipped fudge topping! There were a perfect amount of chocolate chips per bite & the fudge whip was sooooo creamy! Almost like a chocolate mousse! I actually found this place because my normal "go-to" was all booked up! This will now be my normal go to! I cannot wait to try more desserts from here!
We had a Valentine's Day celebration with another couple, and they picked up chocolate covered strawberries that were the biggest I'd ever seen from this bakery! ABSOLUTELY decadent and delicious. We also had a little sampler of tasty treats (he and I had a peanut butter banana bite and a lemonade cheesecake bite). The star of the show was the strawberry shortcake. EASILY the best I've ever tasted! We will be making the trek from Norwood to Aston for our cakes and treats from here on out!

Devour is our go-to whenever we need a cake made for any occasion. Just recently, we got our daughter a cake for her Trolls themed birthday, and Devour custom made a BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS cake that perfectly fit the theme. (The holes are from custom decorations we put in ourselves, photo is of cake provided by Devour). They had so many different flavor combinations to choose from, we landed on a chocolate cake with chocolate chip mousse and vanilla buttercream icing. The shop itself kept excellent communication with planning the cake and making sure the design was exactly what we wanted, and even threw in some wonderful suggestions! We will always choose Devour for any of our bakery needs! read more

Wow. Wow. Wow! I cannot get over how amazing this cake tasted! All my friends and family were raving about the cake! It was soo moist and flavorful! Not too sweet.
