Rayaki is a chain restaurant that I've tried in Philly and this location was no different. Everything from our appetizers to our ramen was delicious and fresh. I ordered a chicken katsu as a side and it was also perfect. A nice sized thin chicken breast with a great crunch. This location is smaller than the Philly location but thankfully that doesn't mean much. It still has fun art along the walls and the same quality of food. The service was just enough and ok but not the best.
Love this place. My boyfriend and I frequently go for the delicious ramen. I always get the regular one, while he gets the seafood or shrimp one. It's a nice cozy location and we haven't had to wait for a table which is nice. The staff is friendly as well. They do have these delicious teas as well, which I always get because it's good. I believe I got the green tea or lemonade one and they were very refreshing. I will definitely be going back.
Not bad but not great. We tried the curry ramen, the vegetable ramen, and the salmon ramen all for takeout. The packaging was good with the broth in a separate containers. However, all three broths fell a bit flat and not very flavorful. The mushrooms in the vegetable ramen were overly chewy. I also don't think the noodles are made in house as they lacked that al dente fresh noodle flavor I've had at some of the top ramen places I've eaten at. I had high expectations based on all of the glowing reviews and unfortunately they did not earn one more from me today.
I've had my fair share of ramen places and this was disappointing. My friend and I both got the Black Garlic Ramen, the broth was bland. It did not have the umami flavor from the black garlic. The cha shu this restaurant uses is lean so it was tough and a bit dry. My other friend got the spicy miso ramen which was also bland. She ate a few bites and said she didn't like it. All three of us did not end up finishing our ramens. We also ordered the rayaki fries which had spicy mayo and garlic aioli drizzled on top. The fries on the bottom did not have any sauce therefore we asked if we would get more spicy Mayo- they charge $1 for a side of it. They should have drizzled more mayo on it in the first place. We all liked our iced teas and greens teas. Passion fruit iced tea was my favorite.
If you are an anime fanatic, you need to be here! Before I get to the food the ambience dope and relaxing, the artwork on the walls, amazing and even the TV had on anime. This place is beautiful and so clean. When you walk in the gentleman who seats you is so chill and they give you the menu immediately and allow you time to look on the front and back, no rushing at all. They have sooo many different ramen dishes, bubble teas, lemonades, teas, and food variety is awesome. Food came out so quickly and everything was sooooo fresh and flavorful. I don't like eggs in my ramen but even they were flavorful. I went here for my bday lunch and I wouldn't mind going any time but on a Sunday was so calm and the vibe was phenomenal. If you are looking for a chill, delicious, comfortable, and just amazing restaurant. Rayaki is the place!
First time but definitely won't be my last. I had the seafood soup which had shrimp, scallops, mussels and another fish. The broth was very tasty and full of noodles. Extremely hearty and filling.
This place is great, I always come here with my friends and we have a great time. The rayaki fries are probably the best fries I have ever had in my life and the ramen is pretty good. They have an endless list of delicious drinks and appetizers that taste amazing. The staff is great always checking in and refilling your drink they are always so kind and the wall art and a tv playing different animes compliment the atmosphere very well.
The interior here is very cute with anime on the walls. Perfect fir a casual spot to grab ramen. The ramen is amazing here. Full of flavor. I love the miso ramen and the black garlic ramen-both are flavorful without being over-powering or too salty.
I wanted yakitori and this place has it so I was excited to try it. The price for each item for the yakitori is a bit pricey. I got the fish cake, squid, wings, steak, sausages, etc. Overall, the yakitori was ok. I also got the fried squid as an appetizer and I liked it the most. For ramen, I got the black garlic ramen. The ramen was ok. I had better. As for the rice dish, I got the gyudon. It was decent as well. Overall, the food was ok. The service was good.
I've been to three different locations - cherry hill, glassboro and NE Philly. I like that they are consistent at all locations and you know exactly what you are going to get whether it's curry, teriyaki or ramen. Don't have a photo of the curry but it was pretty good and curry was flavorful. The teriyaki was probably my least favorite as I found the chicken a little dry or possibly just over cooked, ramen is good whether it's pork or steak and noodles are good as well. Skewers are tasty and there's a variety and the rayaki fries are also tasty and good to share.
Ramen was very good, I would return here the next time I'm in the area. The noodle's Al dente, there were at least 4 pieces of pork belly. I didn't like the eggs, seems like it's been peeled and soaked in soy sauce. The broth has rich umami flavor. Best of all, it was served piping hot!
We came here for lunch on a Friday. The place filled up quickly. Upon entering we were given a selection menu much like an ayce sushi menu. You check off what you want and bring it to the counter. We had edamame, spicy beef ramen and regular beef ramen. Both were very good. We also had black tea and green tea. A good lunch but a little expensive. We would defiantly return if in the area. read more
Not much ramen places around non-city places so Rayaki is changing the playing field. The most unique part about Rayaki has to be all the anime art that are on the walls featuring anime like Bleach, Dragon Ball Z and so on. **Tip** If you can pay in all cash there's a 6% discount they would give you off your entire meal. **Food** Food was great. It's definitely not the best ramen you'll ever taste compared to those in the city, but a good enough contender. The broths are rich in taste, appetizers are delicious. And what other ramen places don't have compared to Rayaki is free parking. You can't go wrong with that! **Service** Service was alright. They were speedy and attentive when necessary. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Due to the convenience of the area and the fun vibe of Rayaki, I can see myself come to this location pretty often if I'm in the area. read more
I have tried so many different ramen places and I can tell you without a doubt Rayaki is my #1 favorite Ramon place. HANDS DOWN. The entire experience is cool. You place your order by checking off items on a ticket and your items come as they are prepared. Service is nice here and they do not bother you while you eat. I have eaten here 4 times now and have ordered the Miso Raman, broccoli, and the Spicy Raman. my favorite is the Spicy Raman. The broth is delicious and the meat is tender. so here you will not be disappointed! If you pay with cash you get a 6% discount. read more

Yesterday was my first time trying Rayaki after hearing about it for some time. My family and I had such a great time! For appetizers we ordered the rayaki fries and the pork bao buns. Both were delicious and the fries were definitely a hit! For entrees we ordered the spicy miso ramen and the black garlic ramen. As a spice lover I really enjoyed the spicy miso ramen but if you don't really like spicy soup I would recommend the black garlic ramen which was also very good. The pork in both soups was melt-in-your mouth quality and cooked to perfection. We loved it here and will definitely be back! read more

Great ramen place outside of the city! I'm from Philly and my go to ramen spot is Terakawa Ramen. Came here on a Sunday because Chinatown was way too crowded and parking was impossible. My friends and I decided to give this place a try since one of my friends had recommended it. It turned out to be a great spot! The interior was lively and fun, service was great, and I love the fact that you get to just mark what you want on the menu and hand it to the server when you're ready. We had the Rayaki fries, takoyaki, some skewers (squid was awesome!), fried squid, and I got the Shoyu ramen. You also get bigger portions (compared to terakawa). All in all, this was a great alternative ramen place outside of Philly and will definitely be coming back! read more
Came here with the recommendation of a friend and I must say...this is the best Ramen I've had by far. The atmosphere is awesome and very cozy. I had the vegetable ramen and I must say the broth was very flavorful and satisfying. There wasn't a need to use any additional seasoning or dressing because it was seasoned right on point. I will definitely come here again and explore the rest of the menu. Definitely a must stop when seeking awesome Ramen and a warm broth. read more

My experience with take out from Rayaki was disappointing since I had really high expectations. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice that the interiors are fantastic with playful homages to transformers, dragon ball z etc. Taking the focus back to food, our group ordered spicy miso ramen and chicken ramen, both of which were short on flavor and spice. I've had ramen several times and I haven't had too many bad experiences. I'll give Rayaki the benefit of doubt and go back once more with the understanding that dining in always trumps take out. Until then, I'll have to play safe and hand them a 3. Until next time! read more
After reading a number of reviews on the site about horrible service, I had some reservations, considering we have an impatient 3 year old. Anyhow we decided to go regardless and try it out and we were not dissapointed. The rayaki fries were amazing, pork baos fantastic, and the ramen awesome! The service was quick and efficient, maybe they had picked up on the comments of the earlier guests but everyone around us got our food in a timely manner. I want to give them props on their service. My son had wanted some extra fish cakes that was in my soup, I asked one of the waiters if i could have an extra side portion of it, and he was able to satisfy the needs of a little 3 year old. Moreover, when the bill came out they only charged us .75 for it. So kudos to them and the wait staff. Would definitely come here again. read more
The food here was pretty good. The egg is a must have, it's my favorite egg out of all 7 of the ramen places I've been to. The both is okay and the noodles could use a bit of work, they taste like the cheap ones I buy from Hmart. The wall decoration is very appealing and the service is a 10/10. Their milk boba tea is delightful. read more

Found my new favorite spot!! Went here with some friends and the first thing we noticed is the awesome anime decor! We ordered the rayaki fries, takoyaki and fried squid as appetizers. DEFINITELY get the fries, it's thebomb.com! As for the ramen, WOW I'm speechless how generous the amount is. NO RAMEN SHOP GIVES YOU TWO EGGS! That's love right there. This place is POPPIN!! The food and staff is amazing! I highly recommend coming here! Did I mention it's byob?! ANDDD there's parking?! You really can't beat that! read more
I've never actually been to a real ramen place before, I'm used to those cup of noodles and instant ramens. This ramen however was delicious, a million times better. I got the chicken ramen, the chicken was very good, and the ramen noodles themselves were awesome and it had a really nice broth too. It came with hard boiled eggs, fish cake and seaweed. I really enjoyed it, definitely filled me up. Also got the Rayaki fries, they slapped. So good. The inside was really cool with all the anime on the walls. The staff was friendly too, it was cool too because we ate with chopsticks and I'm not used to that. It's a 4 for me because it's just alittle small inside, i personally like bigger restaurants. Overall this place is great, I'd definitely come back. read more

The wait has finally ended. I ordered the Steak Ramen and a bunch of appetizers. Get the fried squid and quail eggs with bacon! It was absolutely delicious. Ramen took a bit to come out, but it was worth the wait. The ambience of the anime and music was def there. Dead pool art was pointing where the bathrooms were located was cute. I enjoyed my time at Rayaki and will come again! read more

I've been waiting for this place to open since early this year and they finally opened on Tuesday!! Upon entrance, we were immediately greeted and brought to our table. The first thing you'll notice is the wall art filled with anime, which was pretty cool. My friend and I decided to order the spicy miso ramen and the black garlic ramen. Our food took a little longer to come out, but it was worth the extra few minutes wait. The spicy miso ramen had a rich but not overwhelming flavor, leaving my taste buds longing for more after every spoonful. The black garlic ramen was aromatic and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The best part of the dish was the rich and tender chashu that melted right in your mouth. Now I wouldn't call myself a ramen connoisseur, but I've definitely had my fair share of ramen from coast to coast and Rayaki is definitely on the top of my list. Overall, I was impressed and will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu, especially the izakaya. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday - lots of customers but we didn't have to wait. We started with the grilled shrimp bao buns which were really good and simple. My husband and I each got the spicy miso ramen. It was really good - the ramen noodles appeared to be fresh and still had a nice bite to them. The spicy broth was definitely spicy but not overbearing. I would love to come back and try some of their other dishes! read more

If you love ramen and anime, this is definitely the place for you! We had a pretty large group, but we broke into tables of eight and four. The wait was not very long, but I could imagine it could get packed on Friday nights since the interior is not that large. I had a bowl of ramen and shared an order of rayaki fries - which is fries with mixed chasu, spicy mayo, garlic aioli, massago, and other tasty ingredients. Was great and loved the overall atmosphere of the place! Customer service was very accommodating and would love to go again. :) read more
The place is new and currently popping. We went at 5:30pm and the place started filling up soon after. There were people outside waiting too. I would recommend making a reservation especially if you have a big party. I found the ramen a bit salty. I preferred the spicy miso ramen over the seafood ramen. The spicy miso came with three porks slices and one egg. The seafood came with mussels, shrimp and scallops. I also had the Takoyaki which was not bad. I wouldn't say this is one of my favorite Japanese ramen places but it is the only one in Cherry Hill! The interior feels like you're in Japan. The walls are covered in anime and there is a life size robot outside. The staff is nice. read more

This place was packed, especially for a rainy Friday night. We ordered the Rayaki fries to share and surprisingly, they came out to be basically loaded waffles fries. The fries were delicious. I ordered the steak ramen. Steak was tender and the broth was very good. My cousin ordered the curry ramen, which had a great broth. Definitely recommend adding the spice/seasoning provided at the table. The mango milk tea was okay. It wasn't the flavor I was expecting but decent overall. However, I tried my cousin's matcha milk tea and even for someone who doesn't love matcha, it was wonderful. As for the service complaints, we had virtually no problems. We were seated immediately and the only wait to order was our own fault because we couldn't decide what to get. There was a little bit of wait for the check, but it was likely because the wait staff didn't realize we were finished. The interior is so cool. Anime drawings on the wall and Naruto playing on the TV, so if you go alone then you can watch. read more

Note: Unless you just want chicken nuggets with saltnpepper, don't order the "Japanese fried chicken" - it is not karaage at all which was very disappointing and misleading. Addictive, is the word I will use. We've been back several times since our first visit, which was only about 2 weeks ago....I'm not ashamed! My 40% japanese side has been satisfied! It's a casual spot, sandwiched between one of my fav. Korean spots (my 60%), and a chinese spot I've yet to try. Look for the samurai outside, and the manga drawings on the inside, that's the spot. Ordering is so easy, you put the amount you want on a paper menu (kinda like you do at ayce sushi joints) - and within a few minutes the delights will start arriving. All of the yakitori we've tried have been great to outstanding. I've been partial to the sausage one, and the miso eggplant. I would skip the takoyaki, they weren't my favorite version of them...maybe if they put the normal sauces on the top (kewpie and takoyaki sauce) I would have liked it better than spicy mayo. The ramen obviously is the show stopper. The broths to flavor the ramen is awesome. I'm eating my way down the menu and so far the curry flavor is my favorite. My husband loves the miso flavor one. Very generous amount of ramen, however I could do with alil more toppings but still a 5 star bowl. Service has always been great, never had any hiccups there with the servers or the kitchen. Its a fun atmosphere, anime on the tv, manga on the walls, steaming hot bowl of ramen at your face.......how could one not become obsessed! ps. Japanese toilets in the restrooms! read more

First ramen place in South Jersey, yay! So as you would expect, not as good as Philly, but still pretty decent and you get your fix closer to home. Black garlic ramen and tonkotsu ramen had great pork broth flavor, but very disappointed in the cha shu meat being dry and not the authentic juicy pork belly. The same goes for the pork bao buns. The pork quality was a pretty big negative for me, especially since it's used in several of their dishes. The flavors overall are pretty good and mostly authentic. Takoyaki is perfectly soft on the inside with large chunks of octopus and crisp on the outside. Rayaki fries have some interesting flavors going on too. I'll have to come back to try the skewers and bubble tea. read more

I really would give this place 3.75 stars, but i rounded up. Nice atmosphere - neat anime drawings on the walls, music videos playing on the tv screen. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive, even though it was busy. Food was okay. The baos were nothing special and the bubble tea was what you would expect (although the drink size was pretty big!) I wasn't overwhelmed by my ramen. I felt like it was missing something. But i have also eaten ramen from some of the best spots in NYC. My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen and finished his entire bowl. He said that it was really good. One thing i did appreciate is the large portion size. I have a pretty big appetite and still had a bit left over. Overall, i was happy with my visit. I think i am just happy to have another asian restaurant open up in the area! I will definitely go back to try out the other types of ramen. read more
