Miyabi provides great sushi and fresh Asian cuisine. The takeout is just as good as dining in. If dining in, the restaurant is pretty quiet albeit the softly playing of KYW1060 news radio. Upon arrival, you'll be a seated rather quickly, however, if you're expecting a bubbly waiter to greet you, that won't happen. Not that it's a bad thing, but expect the server to be very efficient and talk very little. Food comes out quickly which is nice and if you order apps, they time out the dishes accordingly so you're not sitting at the table full of plates. One thing to ask for early on would be extra napkins and it was sometimes hard to flag the server down for refills of water. This place was a miss. Sushi was amateurish and used the same generic rice used for the fried rice. The spider roll was dry and kind of half done. Godzilla rolls came out looking like chicken parm. I don't know what went wrong but it clearly looked like it was overheated. Fried rice had a strong oil flavor mixed with a little left over flavor from whatever was in there just before they made our order. Chicken teriyaki wasn't bad but the teriyaki sauce wasn't that flavorful. If I was going to sum up this meal it would be cutting corners cutting costs. read more

It was a Saturday night dinner, so I understand that we were there during the busier part of the evening. I got the amazing roll and the splendid roll. I've been coming here for years now and majority of the time I take out, but it's continuous every time I dine in I get a feeling of being unwanted. The food is definitely great, they also somewhat greet you when you walk in from waitress to chef's. My issue is with the customer care and service once I've takin my order I feel like the server could care less about me. I actually was not pleased with one of my orders the person that came to confront me wasn't a server but I believe is a chef. I'd like to add I think it's the service I like that they'll give your space but it's challenging if you need a refill. I sometimes feel as if the service is bias while I'm struggling to get refills I've watched other people get refills as my cup get taken I've watched this lady finish her food and sit on the phone handling her business during so she got a refill as for me once they believed I'm done food and everything is swept off the table & I'm here still thirsty. I happened to be in the area for a client and met up with my brother after work. He talks about Miyabi's all the time (he works close by). So finally I had the chance to see the hype. We ordered and shared the Godzilla roll (Salmon, tuna and white fish roll deep fried with chef 's special spicy sauce and caviar), Incredible roll (Shrimp tempura avocado inside topped with spicy crabmeat and special sauce), Infinity roll (Crunchy spicy tuna topped with smoked eel, avocado, caviar and sweet sauce, and the Amazing roll (Spicy crab and avocado inside topped with crunchy spicy tuna and bonito flake). All of these specialty rolls were priced at $6.95 and a really good value for the quality. I wasn't really a fan of the deep fried roll, but only because I don't normally like too much tempura batter. My favorite was the Amazing roll, the bonito flakes really added to the flavor. My first time here yesterday and it was cute and comfy. However, we weren't greeted or seated. One of the chef just told us to sit anywhere so we did. The Angry Dragon Roll was Yummy! Shrimp tempura, mango & cucumber inside. Topped with eel, avocado, eel sauce & spicy mayo. This is my go-to sushi spot in my hometown! Their rolls are cheap, fresh, and delicious. I've ordered sashimi many times through Miyabi and it has always tasted extremely fresh. This is a pretty rare case compared to other sushi restaurants in the Mount Laurel area. If you order in time for their lunch specials, your meal will come with a free miso soup and salad, which will finishing filling you up. The miso soup is good and the salad could be a bit better, but it's free so I have no complaints. Highly recommended if you want sushi on a budget and enjoy quick service! read more

On my most recent visit, service was attentive, until our server started hovering just a few feet away from our table and it became *uncomfortably* attentive. It made me wish there were more patrons for us to share her with. The clear soup was a little strange. It wasn't on the menu, but I was told I could order it anyway. It ended up tasting like it had a faint crab flavor, which made me wonder if they had actually just strained out another soup that they DID have on the menu (it mentioned crab and mushroom). Not exactly gross, but weird, and not what I was expecting. My valentine roll was actually quite good: spicy crunchy tuna topped with sliced tuna and rolled so that when sliced, it looked like little sushi hearts. The the spicy sauce had nice flavor, and the fish:rice ratio was pleasing. My only complaint is that it was somewhat small, and at $12-$14 for each special roll, ordering more would have made me surpass my cheap dinner budget. read more

A family friend of mine recommended it because i was complaining about how i could not find a nice Japanese restaurant that serves good sushi and allows take out, delivery and to sit down. We eat here every Thursday. We started eating here a few years ago and the food here is incredible. We usually sit at the sushi bar. Brian is a great guy. He is very friendly and make great rolls. I recommend ordering the Stuffed Tomato. It is spicy live scallop that is chopped and rolled inside 3 different types of fish with ponzu sauce and topped with tobico. They have a roll of the day that is only $5. Anyone who enjoys eating sushi will love this place. Their cooked Japanese food is excellent as well. Update: I just had another great meal with my wife. We sat at the sushi bar. I have to say that the fish was delicious. They are getting their fish from a new company and you can really taste the quality. The yellow tail was excellent. I've had lunch here several times, and it has always been very good. It has never been packed so the service is quick and friendly. I've never felt ignored by the staff nor suffocated by a hovering a waitress. I've only tried the sushi and it's always been good. They have a good deal for lunch where you can get 2 rolls for about $9 (I can't remember the exact price) or 3 rolls for $11.50. I've gotten 3 rolls and always ended too full if I eat it all. So the two rolls is perfect portion wise. My favorites are the sweet potato and spicy tuna. read more
