best consignment store in cambridge!! every time i go shopping here i always find something i just HAVE to have. usually much more than just one thing... the prices are really reasonable and the inventory is constantly changing. in addition to always having plenty of shoes and handbags, there's also really unique jewelry - cool vintage stuff mixed with jewels that are handmade by local artists. consigning here is also a breeze. the staff is super friendly and helpful. i heart the beret!! read more

Speaking and rating as a consigner rather than a buyer - This was my first experience consigning clothes (excluding selling clothes to Buffalo Exchange (BE)), and it was a good experience. The staff had a great knowledge of the value of the items and priced things accordingly. I also liked that they knew how important it is to have an even variety of sizes - I can't tell you how frustrating it is to go to BE to have several of your larger (L, XL, shoe size 9 & 10) sized items denied by the buyer, and then go in the back and see 3 times as many XS and S dresses on the floor as there are L and XL. Case in point about RB - I consigned a pair of riding boots in size 10. At the end of the consignment period, the staff told me the boots weren't yet sold but he wanted to reconsign them, because they were the only boots in the store in a size 10. This guy gets it!!! They also take local tastes into account - the staff said shoppers in Cambridge are more inclined to buy practical, comfortable items rather than flashier things. These things tell me they have a solid structure and criteria for the items they take in. Much unlike BE, which will deny or accept your clothes on the whim of the buyer and the seasonality of some garbage trend, or if the moon is full. I was wary of some of the other reviews - that said the staff have a tendency to lose items or claim that things get "stolen". I didn't find this to be true at all - they accepted 15 of my items and I believe they sold 12. Not bad! My only reasons for taking away a star - though the staff was knowledgeable and saavy about the items to take in, when I came in for my appointment I kind of felt like they were skeptical of me and if I was actually going to show them worthwhile items. Once they saw what I had to offer I felt like they warmed up. Also they have a pretty long wait list for appointments - be prepared to book about 1 month ahead of time for an after 5 PM slot. read more

Before I review my experience at this place gimmie a second to talk about the majestic human being at the cash register. This lady was regal, she was glam, her outfit grandiose, and customer service skills impeccable! As soon as I walked into the locale she greeted my niece and I with the warmest and most genuine hello ever. Something that conceited and unwelcoming consignment/ thrift stores employes all around Boston could learn to do. Pointing fingers at every STA store in this city. The customer service was what made me happy today. Now in regards to the clothes. The selection is cute, I saw a handful of gems but beware that the prices represent the consignment nature of the business. Although the clothes are second hand, they don't have the thrift store price tags. The nicer things I came across to were well into the $40-100 price range. I got a super cute shirt and some via spiga shoes for $14. read more

I've been in here multiple times and have never really found a "wow what a find!" piece. I've found pieces that I like and enjoy, but I've also bought some stuff that I ended up giving away because they didn't fit quite right and weren't fashionable enough. I bought a Groupon awhile ago and when the expiration date started drawing near I visited almost every week to see if I could uncover any hidden gems but was kind of disappointed. The store is diverse in that it has a lot of different kinds of pieces - tops, sweaters, suits, jeans, scarves, jewelry, even some men's clothing - but they are only minimally organized. They're divided into tops and bottoms, then size, then color, which is nice but then I have blouses tossed in with t-shirts tossed in with sweaters. The vintage section is pretty small, and the contemporary section is a mixed bag of some really dated pieces with casual selections from the Gap, F21, and J. Crew. I must have tried on everything and anything that caught my eye but nothing really fit right or looked right. I walked away with a simple J. Crew sweater and a really cute purse that I found right before I was about to give up. Overall, a good place to pop into once in awhile but not my go-to location. read more

One of my favorite consignment stores. Everything is very organized and clean. Can be a little expensive depending on what you're looking for but it's definitely worth a browse when you're in the area. Definitely plan on spending a good amount of time. I like that RB has a healthy mix of vintage and non-vintage in stock and that the prices are really quite reasonable even for high end designer stuff. Every time I come in I have picked up a few things at "why not" prices -- usually new with tags. I have consigned with them twice and everyone I have interacted with has been fantastic, and the lead time for appointments is usually only a week or so. I called around to a few other consignment/vintage stores in the neighborhood when I was deciding where to unload my no-longer needed vintage cocktail dresses and chose RB because they were the friendliest :) read more

OMG I love this store! I've been there a handful of times and part of the goods, and I do mean GOODs I've got have been a Marc Jacobs bag in perfect condition for $50 and a St John cocktail dress $150. I really can't say enough about this place except go there! read more

This is one of my favorite stores that I have discovered. They have such wonderful quality, store set up/display and staff. This is the best vintage store I personally have walked into. It even has a picture of Audrey Hepburn hanging up who is my idol. The price range is truly diverse so for those who cannot afford to spend a lot, there is something there for you. For those of finer taste and ability to purchase such items, there is something there for you. It is wheelchair accessible. The atmosphere is great. The dressing rooms are lovely too. Down to each detail, it is a great place to be, and I will be returning again and again. I bought my student teaching wardrobe from this store and felt very classy as I stepped in the classroom. There are so many styles but they all maintain that classy sense of style so that one feels that they too are classy. I highly recommend giving it a visit! read more
