Strawberry Berry Tea with Boba
Francheska J.

I loooooove love love this spot! The boba is always the perfect amount of chewiness, and has a great brown sugar flavor. When you ask for things half sweet here, it's actually half sweet (I feel like some boba spot's "half sweet" still tastes extremely sweet to me!). The strawberry berry tea is my go-to. The drinks also come out super fast, and the interior is very modern and clean. The staff is always very kind, and will give you recommendations if you ask. So much parking, and it's also conveniently located right next to a korean BBQ spot... which I always have to get a sweet treat after! Whenever I'm in the area I definitely make a stop here.

lavender jasmine milk tea, strawberry berry cream
Betty J.

Got two drinks here. Strawberry cream & lavender jasmine milk tea both at 50% sweet. The lavender jasmine milk tea is nice at 50% though perhaps I could go for 25%. I think the strawberry would taste better sweeter so i'd recommend 75% next time for myself. Clean interior and two comfy couches up front to sit on.

Taro Milk Tea and vanilla milk tea
Naomi N.

A cute little boba shop, located conveniently close to the movie theaters! This indoor cafe is very cute and has ample places to sit and chat. The staff was very helpful and they had samples available. The boba balls were a little bit cold and the flavor of my taro boba left a little to be desired (for the price...in this economy). I would still come back again if I was in the area for the vibes!

Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Boba, Steamed Buns, Shumai
Duy L.

Ordered the roasted oolong milk tea (50% sweetness). I generally like that particular drink here, but be warned when coming here closer to closing as many of the popular drinks will be sold out. The milk tea definitely tastes more on the tea side, but can be masked if the drink is too sweet. The steamed bun and shumai are satisfactory for items outside of a dim sum establishment. If you're craving it, I'd say they're good enough, but you're going to be disappointed if you're expecting dim sum restaurant quality.

Two boba milk teas with no boba! Amazing!

lied about being out of boba because they were closing in 20 minutes. They were disrespectful when I tried asking about getting my drink in the first place. wasted my money and my time.

Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea and Duo Grape Tea

This is a very nice tea house near the Harkins theater. We've been here multiple times with friends. They have a lot of different tea options. I feel 7-8 bucks for a cup of boba tea is a little pricy, but it's close to our house, so we come here when we are craving some tea. I like the mango passion fruit tea, but 50% sweet. The duo grape tea is also pretty good.

Strawberry Smoothie with Lychee Jelly
Christine D.

Grabbed some boba with my family after dinner, and it definitely hit the spot. I chose the strawberry smoothie with lychee jelly, and it was a nice and refreshing treat. I would say the drinks are a little overpriced (I paid over $8 for my drink), but maybe that's just the new norm now? There's a nice seating area with a couch and coffee table, and everything was nice and clean. The service was good; we were greeted immediately upon walking in. The servers didn't talk much, but sometimes that's not a bad thing. Overall, I enjoyed this boba place and would revisit.

Okinawa Milk Tea with Boba (top) Half serving of Uji Matcha Latte (bottom)
Kuri S.

Clean, quiet, boba shop. There seemed to only be one woman running the store at the time I went, yet service was fast. She was flexible and met my unusual request of leaving the cup half empty (I didn't want a full cup of such a sweet drink). The Uji Matcha Latte had a pleasant balance of matcha and sweetness. I see myself coming back to this location in the future.

Drinks & cake coin were delicious. Freshly made. Employees were friendly. Parking was tricky. We had to circle the lot a few times before we found a spot.

Happy National Bubble (Boba) Tea Day (4/30)! We came here when they first opened on 11/27/21 and have been coming back ever since. I tried Rare Tea back in California so that was my baseline to compare this location. There were a lot of drinks to choose from on their menu and my go-to drink here at Rare Tea would be the Okinawa Milk Tea with boba. The tea flavor was good and the boba were always chewy. I've tried a number of other drinks here like the Jasmine Green Milk Tea, Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea, Black Milk Tea, and Rose Spring Tea. They all tasted good to me but my go-to was still Okinawa Milk Tea with boba. It tasted the same as the Rare Tea in California so it was consistent. I should really just finish up the rest of the menu since I've tried almost everything on the menu. The staff here are friendly and you can even order online to come pick up. We've done that quite a few times since we don't live down the street from them anymore. We have gone to their Queen Creek location too but that's for another review. Rare Tea was great and one of our go-to places for boba! We'll be back!

Thai Milk Tea
Miss A.

Been really curious about this place and I didn't realize it was right here! I guess that explains why so many teens are roaming around with these cups. There were two employees behind the counter, one was taking an order. The other seemed sad faced and did all she could to ignore myself and three others waiting in line. I know good help is hard to find these days but if you are going to charge almost $7 for a drink with mostly ice, please hire friendly staff who can at least acknowledge your presence. A simple smile or a "thank you for the business" at checkout would go a long way. As for the ambiance: clean, spacious & bright! The menu was both on digital displays and a hard menu on the counter as well. I was taken by suprise with how many options there were. I ended up with a Thai Milk Tea which was very nicely balanced. Not too sweet like others I've had elsewhere but Rare Tea is 2x the cost of most Thai restarants in the area. The boba was fresh and plentiful which is nice. It would be nice if they had a loyalty program where after buying 8 you get 1 drink free because I'd like to come back to try other items, just I'll ask for less ice. Also keep in mind the layout of parking outside is odd, especially when people are just not paying attention. Almost got hit TWICE just trying to leave. This isn't any fault of the shop, its the poor layout and the property management who should fix it.

Okinawa milk tea

My son asked if we could get boba after practice and I am not one to turn down a boba request. We chose Rare Tea for the reviews and close proximity to his gym. It's located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking. We were greeted as soon as we entered. I like to ask the staff for their best sellers and recommendations, especially if it's my first time at the biz. They recommended the Okinawa milk tea with boba, so I went with that. My son went with his go-to, a caramelized brown sugar milk tea which also happens to be one of their best sellers. All drinks come in one size, a large. No complaints from us as we normally get a large anyway. Ice and sugar levels can be customized. I asked for less sugar and less ice for my drink while my son kept the original recipe for his. Both were delicious and came with a good amount of boba. The boba flavor and consistency were excellent. Perfectly chewy. I'm very intrigued by their other drinks like the tea-presso milk teas, coffee milk tea, and lychee matcha latte, so I will definitely be back!

Do they offer milk alternatives or sweetness levels to choose from?

Yes; a lot of their teas use no dairy, or almond milk. There are notes on the menu about which teas have milk in them. I believe I saw three sweetness levels - I'd recommend asking about your sweetness level up front though, they normally don't ask.

The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere made this a disappointing experience.

They offer complimentary wifi, a shelf of mission-branded merchandise and a menu of herbal teas and unique coffee drinks. Also a small assortment of pastry items. In addition to the regular entrance, they have a huge garage door access so on nicer days they can open up the seating area for fresh air and more of an outside but inside vibe. Staff were friendly barista hippie types but took a while for them to acknowledge us standing there even though there was no line. Ordered one hot tea and a seasonal coffee drink. Neither were great and their pricing is misleading. For example the seasonal drink was supposed to be $5.89 but was charged $7.65 and the tea was nothing more than a basic tealeaves in hot water. We didn't add any items to justify the upcharge but when I brought it to the cashiers attention she was unsure how to adjust the price or offer a refund unless we wanted loose change. SMH. If a Customer pays by Apple pay, they should be refunded or credited in the same way. Seems like a space intended for Co-working or digital nomad types as there were about 4 people with laptops and headphones sipping on drinks. Because of the ultra cool vibe, I'll definitely give them another chance to change my mind if I'm nearby but I think for what we ordered it wasn't a great price to value.

The space is extremely comfortable -- cozy seating, welcoming energy, and an outdoor area that's truly remarkable. You can genuinely taste the flavor in every sip. I'm a nitro, cold brew girl -- always black -- and they nail it every time. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. That said, I'm a total sucker for their seasonal selections. Somehow, they always make it hard not to switch things up. The seasonal flavors are thoughtfully crafted and never overpowering -- just the right touch to make your drink feel special. The pastries? Incredible. Fresh, delicious, and the perfect pairing to any drink. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a full coffee moment, you won't be disappointed. Another major plus: the prices are reasonable, and the line moves fast. Even when it's busy, the service is efficient without ever feeling rushed. The customer service is genuinely great -- everyone is extremely nice, welcoming, and happy to help. It's such a refreshing change to experience a place where the vibe is consistently excellent. Everyone was obsessed with this one, we also added pistachio cold foam on top. For the Moroccan we asked for it to be half sweet and it was still pretty sweet so be aware that this one is for the sweet tooth. The pistachio latte was delicious as well. The lemon poppy seed matcha was really good as a matcha, meaning the matcha was delcious and easy to ddrink. Not a lot of lemon flavor in it tho but the quality was good so no complaints. Their pastry selection is lacking however, this might be because we came a little later in the day but there was not a lot of options.
