Definitely some mixed experiences here at this Chandler location. I have visited a couple of times over the past few years and noticed that depending on the day, I will have vastly different drink/boba quality and wait times. I commend the staff who seem to be holding it down solo on weekdays, but it sort of seems like they're not able to keep up with busier days (e.g. holidays like spring break), especially when they only have one person making all the drinks + the food. I wasn't in a rush this day, so I went in for my regular choice- the strawberry green tea, half sweet, with boba. I waited over 15 minutes for my drink, which was quite a wait for a boba shop on a weekday afternoon in my opinion. The drink itself, tea-wise was great like always, but I did notice this time the boba was quite hard and tasted kind of burnt in the inside. The self-service kiosk does make for an easy and simple ordering process, but on the flip side you will not interact with the staff at all really so that's something to note.
Been coming here for a while. Clean shop that pumps out refreshing drinks! Usually somewhat busy, but your orders are completed fast! On this day, decided on a mango yakult and a mango lemon slushy. Drinks were awesome and a nice way to cool down with the rising temps. Always a great way to start or end a foodie day after eating at one of the nearby restaurants.
My usual boba/popcorn chicken place went out of business and I've been looking for a proper replacement, and this boba tea and popcorn chicken is the best I've had in years! The barista recommended the salted plum seasoning and I'm so glad I listened, it's salty and sweet and not just only pure chili heat like so many other restaurants sell! The chicken pieces are tender and perfectly crispy. Very friendly staff, and not many tables inside but there's nice seating outside. Update: Went again and the chicken was really inconsistent, super fatty, at least the salted plum seasoning was still good.
Update on the service being awful now I rarely ever complain about service but it was next level bad. I politely pointed out that they forgot to give me puff cream (which I double checked that I ordered) and I just got stank eye and attitude. Treated me like I was trying to scam them out of a dollar. They did end up giving it to me but I hateeeeeed the vibes.
Tried their boba milk tea before and it was meh, not a fan. However, I tried the passion fruit mango green tea today (light sugar, light ice) and it was amazing. Their snack options are surprisingly good too. The popcorn chicken was chunky and juicy, and the bubble waffle was nice and crunchy, not doughy. I feel like I'd come back for their snacks, but not really for their drinks. It was busy today, but it was quiet enough inside and the service was fast.
they have waffle (we haven't tried cause we just eat dinner) but from the outside you will smell it. You can actually modify your drinks here (you can adjust your sugar level), they also have some refreshers. I also like the self order kiosk they have, as my husband is introvert he love that too. The inside was a good hangout spot. Service is also fast (or maybe it's only us when we got there) the only problem we encountered was there tables are bit dirty and sticky. Overall I will give another chance to this restaurant since you can modify drinks on your own and i want to try there waffle!
Happy Lemon is my favorite boba place back in Washington. I would frequent the Bellevue and the issaquah location 1-2 times a week so I was very excited to hear of the Chandler location opening up. The menu is sadly different and I was missing some of my favorite drinks from this location but still happy to see the bubble waffles in both flavors were available. Ordering on their portal was easy enough. Staff were friendly. Store looked clean. I ordered the milk tea with Oreo, puff cream and boba. The drink itself was good but the boba was old, soggy and broken down. I'll try again another time.
Glad this spot is here to help combat these scorching AZ summers! Stopped by here recently for some refreshing drinks and popcorn chicken. I got the: - Lemon Yakult drink: Sweet, a little creamy/milky from the yakult - Kumquat Lemon Green Tea drink: more sour/tart than I thought it would be, but has a sweet aftertaste - Salted Plum Popcorn Chicken: Came out piping hot, the salted plum seasoning might sound odd, but it just tastes like yummy seasoned chicken haha Definitely a good spot for some refreshing drinks and a quick snack!
Went to Happy Lemon for the first time in SD and had to come here, I love their smoothie series because they're so refreshing and sweet! The matcha is very subtle for the mango smoothie, it's mostly mango. Their mango yakult reminds me of an orange dreamsicle sweetness. I have a sweet tooth, so I really like these drinks but they are on the pricier side. Their boba is also good if you like the soft chewy type. The milk tea was so-so for me, not that flavorful or sweet, but decent. There's some places to sit and a self serve kiosk at this location that helps with the line. I would mostly come here for the smoothie series and the boba :)
Walked in on opening day feeling like I was in Beyonce's Lemonade. Okay, maybe not, but I was happy with Happy Lemon. I have been back a couple of times since, and I can confidently say that this place is good. The drinks can be a little too sweet at times, but the sweetness level can be adjusted. You can order at the register, through the app, or at the kiosk. You can also track the process of your order on the monitor. All in all, Happy Lemon is a great addition to the ever-growing boba scene in the Phoenix area. They're located in a popular plaza, but they work fast. Get you some.
You won't be sour getting this lemon. Happy Lemon makes me so happy! I fell in love with this place in San Francisco and I was ecstatic when they opened up a location in Chandler. I have been here a handful of times since they have opened, and I have tried a multitude of items so far. I've had their Milk Tea with Oreo & Puff Cream, Mango Matcha Smoothie, Mango Lemon Slushie, Strawberry Shortcake, Roasted Tea with Sea Salt Cream, Ube Milk Tea with Taro Puff Cream and Boba, and popcorn chicken. There might be more, but I can't possibly remember everything. That being said, almost everything I had was amazing. Give them a try if you're at this hustlin' bustlin' shopping plaza!
Very cute place! I had the Yakult green tea, and it was excellent! Great customer service. They also had a kiosk that you could order from if you were not interested in interacting with people. I'd really like to go back and try the bubble waffles

Coming in the evening, if you wanna order waffles, make sure you ask before ordering. The Boba tea with Puff Cream is good, 75% of sugar is reasonable. The atmosphere is quiet, not busy so much. read more

Originally discovered this place when I went to Vegas and then found they just opened a location in AZ. Had to come check it out! Me and my husband came here and it was a bit busy when arrived but the line for self service went fast. This place has a small sitting area with about 4 tables. They also sell waffles and popcorn chicken. The boba was so good and there are many options to choose from. It's located within a small shopping center which has a grocery store and daiso right next to it. We will definitely be back for some boba when in the area and happy lemon is the place to go! read more
Arrived for opening day....regret it for the amount of time I had to wait. Never doing that again. lol Overall, my kumquat boba was refreshing! Not too sweet. I got my husband a taro drink which was also delicious. The menu has a good variety of drinks to choose from and they also have food! The waffles are delicious, fluffy, and moist. They have 3 flavors/ regular, chocolate and matcha. I'd come again when the hype has calmed down. read more
Happy Lemon is a great spot if you're feeling for something fruity. My favorite is the Strawberry Black Tea and even at 50% sugar, it's so tasty and you have less guilt . I love the convenience of the mobile app to order so it's ready for pickup or even in the store order kiosk for those introverted folks. Service is always good and it's clean and cutely decorated inside. read more

I've been to a few Happy Lemon locations in California so it was a fun surprise to find out they were opening a location in Az. This place is good but it's not the best and def not worth standing in a long line for. I laughed when I walked by and saw the long lines. It's not going anywhere, just wait until the hype dies down or avoid the weekend for now. Lols The fam I happened to go to Daiso next door after dinner on a Friday night. There was only one person in line so we decided to go in. The place was busy and the 4 tables they had were full. I like how there is a screen to show when your order will be ready. In the past I've had the mango or Jasmine green tea with the cheese foam and liked it. Mango matcha smoothie - I love this combo but this was ok. It was a little bland? My husband said something was missing but couldn't put his finger on what it was. Strawberry shortcake smoothie - this was delish. Tasted just like a strawberry shortcake dessert. This was for my daughters and they inhaled it. Dragonfruit - this was for my son, he liked it. A lil too tart for me but I'm not into the tarty stuff. I'd def go back if I was in that plaza already :). I need to try the ube and waffle... read more
Found out this place just opened over the weekend so stopped by today to try it. No long lines today! Only about 3 people before me so the wait to order and receiving the drinks wasn't too long. Staff was friendly and you can tell they are working hard to get the orders out as quickly as possible. The interior is was cute, simple and clean. They only have one size for drinks here. They do offer many drink options with different topping options as well, for an additional charge. Like with many places now, you can also adjust sugar and ice levels too. They have some food here but I didn't try any. Ordered: - Ube milk tea w/ taro cream puff (no boba, 1/2 sugar) - Kumquat lemon green tea w/lychee jelly (+boba, 25% sugar) Ube milk tea wasn't bad. Think I should've tried a regular milk tea first though. The other drink wasn't for me but I was told it was missing the lychee jelly. At 25% sugar, it was a bit sour too so I would recommend 50% sugar level. Bit pricy but what isn't nowadays? It was about $14-15 for the two drinks read more

Just ok. Since you use the self service kiosk to order, there is basically no staff interaction. I didn't even get a "hello" when I walked in and no one offered any assistance while I was putting in my order. The drink was good, but nothing spectacular. The store was bright and seemed very clean. read more
This is just based on my first visit. The place is small and just enough room for a small crowd. I have been wanting to try this place and finally did! I tried some of the popular/recommended (starred) items on the menu. I did the self order since the staff were busy making drinks. I ordered the strawberry shortcake smoothie at 50% sweetness and a mango lemon drink. While waiting you can check to see where your order is in que, which is kind of nice. I was smelling the delicious bubble waffle and wished I ordered it but was short on time. Got my drinks to go and tasted both of them right away. Strawberry shortcake tastes exactly how it sounds and the sweetness level was just right for me. The mango lemonade was yikes for me. I couldn't find the sugar level adjuster on the self order or missed it in a hurry. But the mango lemon at 100% I could only sip 2 sips. It was too strong and I didn't taste any mango whatsoever. Next time I'll try the bubble waffle and Ube smoothie. read more

Came in soon after they opened, but the place became very busy and noisy quickly. If you're planning on seeing the hype for yourself anytime soon, I recommend coming around the time they open to avoid a long line. However, they have a self-order kiosk by the register to speed things up. I ordered the Ube Milk Tea with Taro Cream Puff and Boba. I was surprised to receive so much Boba in my drink! Happy Lemon is a Boba Heaven that I plan on coming back to once the grand opening excitement calms down. read more

Came in on a Saturday around 7pm and there was no line. Our cashier was very friendly and nice. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest though. I ordered the Fresh Lemon Black Tea half sweet and my brother got the Fresh Lemon Green Tea half sweet. Mine tasted like an elevated version of an Arnold Palmer, the green tea version was a lot lighter and had a stronger lemon taste. The tea flavor was pretty good and I like how they use fresh lemons instead of syrup. However, for $6 without toppings, I felt like it was pretty overpriced for what it was. I still enjoyed my drink, but I don't think I would come back very often. It's a good refreshing drink for summer, but nothing too crazy that I wouldn't be able to make something similar at home. Although the black tea quality is definitely better than your typical black tea bag. read more

One of my favorite drink franchises by far- and I'm a creature of habit: you can't go wrong with the lemon slush. Just what the Arizona heat needs- a refreshing, bright, icy, sweet but not overly sweet pick me up. Bubble waffles made fresh and had great chewy texture. Self checkout was simple to navigate, order screen was clear, and the team divvied up the orders in a timely fashion. I came here twice in one week and boy does it get crowded. But it goes quickly; def worth it! read more

Nice to see that chandler has a happy lemon location. I've visited their other locations and it's consistent. Came here during opening weekend line wasn't too long. From ordering to receiving my order took about 10 min. There is seating inside. My go to order is the mango matcha smoothie this time around I tried the ube smoothie with boba. Both flavors I highly recommend. Another good option is the strawberry shortcake. read more
