    Poutine

Came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint! This is a happenin' place for happy hour. Lots of seating and great HH deals. I still think about how delicious this poutine was and how tasty my spicy chicken wrap was. Delicious food, great atmosphere. The kind of place to come after work or for a date!

Upscale craft bar? Yes please. Attentive and friendly bartenders. Order and take a seat or sit at the bar, I always choose the bar. Tried the fried cauliflower and fingers and fries. Both crispy and delicious and served with a generous about of delicious sauces. The fries were lightly coated and so crispy. (I usually push fries aside but these were addictive) Would definitely go back and try something new. A great chill, fun vibe.

The food was excellent! The service was also friendly and fast. Both bartenders waited on us through out our visit. The interior is nice considering it's in your basic strip mall. I would say to normally expect a wait if you're looking for a table. It was crowded already just after 5pm. Good news! They're expanding into the space next door so they will soon have additional seating.

    Tap selection for this day.

Off Huron Pky in an older strip mall that your must venture in for a very good burger, really cold beers on tap and generous samples to pick your beat pour. We had a wonderful bartender and the cook did a great job, serves up quick at the bar. Do not let the outside fool you, they are dog friendly on the patio. Nice easy vibe for lunch.

Chicken Caesar Wrap with Truffle Fries

Ordered to go on a Friday during lunch time. Had the chicken caesar wrap and substituted the side for truffle fries. Everything tasted amazing! Especially the truffle fries that were packed with flavor. The food was warm when picked up and staff was friendly during the pick up process. Will be having lunch from here again!

Cowboy burger and fries - doesn't look huge but it's definitely filling

Rappourt Brew & Chew is a great northside option for a tasty brew and yummy chew. Excellent rotating selection of beers on tap, especially featuring MI breweries. I love how many good options Ann Arbor has for beer, and they all have different "vibes". Between Rappourt, Ashley's, HopCat, Jolly Pumpkin, and of course our local breweries HOMES, Wolverine, Mothfire... oh yeah and Session, Grotto... (I'm sure I'm still missing a few) there must be hundreds of beers to try. For those that enjoy a darker maltier beer (vs the more popular IPAs), Rappourt has a good selection compared to some of the other brewpubs in town. I really enjoy Rappourt's food menu as well. It's pretty classic American bar food (burgers, sandwiches, salads, really good truffle fries), but elevated with options like szechuan cauliflower bites (so good! and a big portion for sharing), tandoori masala wings, and onion jam/berry relish on their namesake burger. Good seating for groups (communal style tables as well as plenty of bar seating), attentive servers, TVs for watching sports, and a fridge with take home drinks. Located in a strip plaza so there's plenty of parking both on the front side and back side. Very walk in friendly, but can get busy during peak days/hours.

Chicken fingers are delicious, fresh & hand battered. Their sauce game is on point! The Szechuan sauce, buffalo & blue cheese dressing are perfect, in fact the blue cheese is on par with the best steakhouse Roquefort dressing I've had. The burgers are always great. This time we decided to have dessert so my wife got the brownie with ice cream & it was very good and I got a root beer float but decided to try a peanut crackerjack porter in it instead of the root beer and it was one of the deserts I've had! It tasted a bit like an affogato, I'll be getting that again with whatever porter they have on tap. Really delicious

I was in the neighborhood as I was conducting some business at the University of Michigan. It's pretty much a very small old house converted into an ordering counter and kitchen behind. When you come in, you are expected to have your order ready to spit out without any hesitation or you get cursed and screamed at by the person at the counter. I had read that this was their modus operandi so I wasn't shocked! The burger was cooked on a flat top that was well loved. As I really wasn't sure of the condiments they offered. I just told them to load it up. My Burger came with a nice toasted bun-it had a freshly made burger, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. It was very tasty. Krazy Jim doesn't do any advertising, but there were an abundance of college students waiting in line to order their burger. It feels to me like he is a legend of sorts as is the Blimpie Burger. I'm glad we arrived when we did as there was only a short line. Next time you're in Ann Arbor, Michigan, check it out. You won't regret it.

It was seasoned nicely and and the sauce was great. I liked the sweetness from the beets and corn, but I could see why some people might not agree, especially if they are used to meat burgers. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the patty kept falling apart, but otherwise, it was really nice. Overall, I would come back, especially if I was eating with someone who is vegetarian/vegan. The food is healthy, fresh, and reasonably priced.

Yelp…read morehas allowed me to chronicle these adventures, serving as a repository for my dining memories. Echelon has now made it to my exclusive list of 5-star restaurants. I readily admit to being a tough reviewer - very few places earn a 5. Allow me to share some of the reasons: Service was stellar. The staffers were professional and friendly. They quickly brought out each course and cleared the table efficiently. They were tireless in answering my many questions about the ingredients. I prefer tasting menus. For me, after the first few bites, my taste buds get fatigued. The six-course tasting menu, with its complex flavors and textures, kept me interested throughout the meal. The dining room was spacious and well-appointed, without being stuffy and overwhelming. I loved the table groupings and comfy seats, whimsical wall coverings, oversized lighting, and wall of windows. I believe the tasting menu changes; I had: - A bite of brick dough (I had to look it up) pastry, served with a tart, faintly bitter rhubarb soda for a palate cleanser. - The Kanpachi crudo arrived with smoky fanfare. It was served with agua fresca and droplets of chili oil, topped with watermelon radish. I loved the fatty, slippery fish paired with the acidic, fresh, and spicy liquid. - My favorite course was the wood-roasted maitake mushroom in a shoyu glaze, topped with shallots, with a red pepper sauce. I wouldn't have minded a main entrée of these savory, meaty mushrooms. - Next up was the sesame seed-encrusted shrimp toast on Japanese milk bread. It was served with lobster bisque and tiny lobster tail skewers. I am very familiar with deep-fried shrimp toast, a dim sum staple, and loved the novelty of black and white sesame seeds. The bisque was rich and flavorful, while the lobster tail was sweet and delicious. It was such a variety of flavors on one plate. - I never had Cappelletti before and enjoyed the pasta stuffed with a manchego-ricotta mix. It was served with more mushrooms (yay!), buttermilk froth, and fried shallots. - The restaurant considered the Wagyu bavette the star of the tasting menu. While I liked the tender beef, peppercorn demi-glace, potato croquettes, and creme fraiche topped with bacon, I still preferred the mushroom course. - The grapefruit granita and compressed grapefruit were another nice palate cleanser. - The dessert was as beautiful as it was creative. Sunchoke ice cream and crispy sunchoke straws enhanced the chocolate hazelnut flavors. I only wish a duck course was available on the day of my visit. It was offered a few weeks earlier.

Mostly that it's a bit overpriced for the portions. They do have vegetarian options but not a lot. It's one of those cases where you can pay $20 for a plate of vegetables and expect that to be a full mean but if you eat meat or fish you're getting something a bit more substantial. I was hesitant to come for just dinner and order à la carte for that very reason. So instead: we came for the vegetarian tasting menu. They offer a vegetarian, vegan or pescatarian (as well as regular Meat) tasting menu on Wednesdays and Thursdays only and it's 5 or 7 courses. We did 5 which was plenty. It was a very vegetable-forward meal but it was a good way to try their menu. I do wish they had more vegetarian protein offerings but again, the flavors were fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive and was able to explain each dish with detail. I'll def come back but I hope they offer some protein options like beans or tofu or something for their herbivore friends!

My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.
