Red bean bread

Tried their cake slices (about $5-$6) and both were really good!! We got the Mango fruit cake and Pistachio Black Sesame. The mango cream was delicious and had strawberries, mango, and grape! The black sesame was unique and also delicious! I couldn't really taste any pistachio. Would def get more cake slices again!

Banana donut, mocha bun, strawberry cake

My husband brought me home a sweet treat after a hard day from Yoon'd and it was so yummy. I enjoyed the strawberry chocolate layer cake, it was the perfect blend of flavors and cake was moist. We also tried the mocha bun and banana creme donut. The mocha bun could have used more filling.

Black Seasame Cream filled bread with bean paste 5 stars are really creamy. I could do with a little more black sesame flavor, though.

I tried several of Yoon's bakes today and they were all good. Cream filled bread (black sesame and bean paste) - soft and buttery, I wish there was more black sesame flavor. Taro cake - light and airy genoise sponge. Equal parts cream to cake, not too sweet. Ham and egg bread - it had the same buttery bread as many of their other treats. The ham had a good flavor and it was topped with egg salad. It was alright. Curry thingy - Looks like potato onion carrots maybe a little egg inside. The bread is like a brioche with loads of crunchies stuck to it. I put it in the toaster oven for 5 mins Cheesecake - delicious and not too sweet. It has a flakey texture when you put your fork into it but creamy on the tongue. Cake on the bottom. Overall, I probably wouldn't choose it over some of their other more unique bakes.

Breads were very fresh and moist with delicious fillings. The lady at the register graciously grabbed us a sesame bun from the back as it was not yet displayed. Visited 7/19/25

A mighty haul!

I realized I hadn't been inside Yoon's for quite a while when I walked in and didn't recognize most of the set up! (the last few years when I've gotten a craving for Yoon's delicious goods I've ordered through delivery). It was a pleasant upgrade and they definitely changed for the better. The space is so bright and clean, fixtures are easy to maneuver. They have bigger, easier to read menu for their offerings like beverages, shaved ice, etc. There are now two coolers, one with grab and go packaged slices of cakes, cheesecake, and other items like tiramisu. And the other which is their previous cold case with full sized cakes and such. I came towards the end of the day on a Friday and though some of the shelves were empty (sold out for the day) they still had a ton to choose from. I got my usuals but also grabbed my husband a tiramisu and myself some basque cheesecake. As well as several pastries of course. Everything was just as good as I remember it being. Hands down one of my favorite places in Ann Arbor!

Sweet Potato Cream Cake

Actually such a good cake. I also got the black sesame and mango cake. The mango cake was really good but this one was phenomenal. You hardly tasted the sweet potato it was more just strawberries and cream but it was so so so good.

This place has the best Korean bread! They have a wide selection of Korean pastries and bread that do not disappoint. It is a cute little bakery with drinks as well. The service is also great!

very cozy little bakery near North campus. One of the best cakes I've had in Ann Arbor. I went for the sesame cake and it was delightful!

So happy to find an Asian bakery, reminds of when I was living in Taiwan. Everything is fresh and delicious. I'll be back for more.

Does anyone know it has birthday cake?

I guess it depends on your definition of birthday cake. Yoon's bakery does not make and sell conventional cakes like what you would find at Sam's Club or at Costco. But they do have lots of tasty individual treats which you could gift for a… Read more

DJ’s Bakery - Pretzel

I had read about DJ's bakery, but for some reason had never been. So I popped by this morning at 7…read moreAM. I felt like there were miles and miles of donuts. The case was absolutely gorgeous - filled with both yeast and cake donuts as well as this ham and cheese filled pretzel that I had read about and an amazing looking sticky bun. I was trying to get to work so I didn't have time to take a lot of photos. I chose the cake, chocolate covered donut, and the ham and cheese stuffed pretzel. I have no picture of this donut because I ate it in the car on the way to work because I just couldn't stand it. It was phenomenal. Of course a cake donut has a different texture than a yeast doughnut And it was soft yet cakey. I thought the chocolate icing was amazing. It was a little sweet, but I loved that about it. There are tables inside and a couple tables outside but as it is 29° I didn't sit outside. I jumped in my car and ate my donut on the way to work. The woman behind the counter said she is one of the owners, but I didn't get her name. I am bad. But she was lovely and just so kind.

They ran out of the Maple glazed when I came so I got the Bear Claw, Apple Fritter, and decided to try their Cinnamon Roll that was more flaky. It's always so hard choosing because everything looks amazing!! Service is great and the young lady was very friendly. Everything tasted fantastic and that flaky Cinnamon Roll had a great sweet and buttery flavor!! I still prefer the glazed but it was good! They thankfully had parking but it was pretty full around 10:30am and they had lots of dine-ins!!

First, their lamination is ON POINT. Then add the Korean flavors and flair to it? Chef's kiss. So Injeolmi is basically like a mochi rice cake dessert with roasted soy bean powder on it. So they did their take on it by dusting the exterior with the roasted soy bean powder and putting the rice cake part INSIDE. You basically have to eat this day-of though - rice flour goodies are never that great re-heated. *trompe de l'oeil desserts - they have various ones that look like fruit BUT my favorite cheesecake that looks like a piece of cheese on a cheese board ha. Love the whimsy. *the sleeping bear cakes! I think this is more of a Valentine's Day special - I'm not sure if it's year-around but it's so cute and the chocolate mousse is so luscious with the perfect ratio of raspberry. *Dubai chocolate mochi - this is probably my favorite take on this viral trend. It's a really fascinating texture with the soft rice cake/mochi meeting the crunchy kataifi. I'm into though!

We decided to order on the kiosk because the line was pretty long. They offer quite a bit of seating on the other side of the pastries and can get loud, if it's packed. So if you're wanting to study, make sure to take a pair of earplugs. We got an iced black sesame latte and a peanut butter Macchiato. Both drinks were okay. The flavors of both drinks weren't as strong but okay. I grabbed a salt bread and a Dubai mochi. Salt bread was okay. The mochi was delicious. If you are a fan of Dubai chocolate, you'll love this! We'll definitely be back to try more pastries and drinks!
