We've visited many ice cream shops in Ann Arbor, but Milk & Froth wasn't check off the list yet…read more After dinner in downtown AA, we easily walked over to Milk & Froth for dessert. The space is narrow but with good vibes and really leaning into their themed colors and balancing a classic ice cream parlor with a modern spot. Prices are on par with other small batch ice cream shops we've been, $5 for a single scoop, plus an extra $1 for splitting scoops (would be nice to be included for free, but hey, a $1 isn't bad to get to try 2 different flavors). Even though it was a warm summer night, there wasn't too long of a line and service was pretty quick. It's nice to have the entire shop indoors (vs another shop in Ann Arbor) so you can cool off while waiting. Since it is small batch, the menu is small with rotating flavors. During our visit, there was great variety of unique flavors. Of course, I needed to do a split scoop to double my flavor profile. I opted for black sesame and sea salt butter cake. My sister got the same flavors as me, but my husband went for the 3 peanut and pecan butter brittle flavors. We enjoyed our scoop in their beautiful outdoor patio (ambience was 10/10 with the bistro lighting and cute benches / tables). We all loved our flavors and spoke very highly of the quality of the scoops. The black sesame slightly outweighed the butter cake for me, although I did love the "goodies" in the butter cake scoop. They were both so excellent, though. I think Milk & Froth might be my favorite ice cream spot in the city now - I'm already looking forward to revisiting and trying more flavors!

I might actually buy coffee and tea as holiday gifts for my coworkers. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because the women's bathroom was not clean, customer service can be improved, and some music can really make the cafe more inviting. I made coupe of orders, one included dessert. I was handed the cake with no fork, had to ask for one. Wasn't given napkins and didn't bother asking. I might sound petty, but honestly the product can be great. However, customer service is what brings customers back. There needs to be proper training. If I'm going to spend money and do everything myself and ask for everything that should be the basic/ standard, then I might as well make my coffee at home. It terms of music, I think it would amplify the space. When I stopped by the cafe, I was the only one in the main space and it was dead silent and all I can hear is the buzzing of the cooler that had the water and pop/ drinks. Some light music in the background would've blocked that noise. I only share this because I would love to see this business thrive.

I enjoyed a rich pour over accompanied by a delicious Pistachio Basbousa Cake. Other members of our party enjoyed their Biscoff Latte and White Mocha. As an added treat we ordered a Carmel Milk Cake. The case of macarons was beautiful , multicolored rows of well labelled flavors. We each made some selections and ordered some drinks. Our hosts ordered a large French press pot to share. I had time to speak with staff about the last k of space for baking and how they arrived at so many flavors. They do not bake onsite but receive frozen shipments from the main bakery in Grand Rapids as handiest the Holland, Michigan store. They defrost enough each for each day so they never run out of flavors. They were some of best I have ever had. Nothing like what you might find in the bakery section of a grocer. This is an historic residential building retrofit with a nice conversion to retail without losing its charming brickwork. I will definitely return when next in Ann Arbor.

It's so appealing. The macarons displayed in the case were equally appealing. I don't recall all the flavors, but I had a tough time picking out flavors for my friend and, of course, something for me. I chose three macarons to enjoy at the shop: blueberry, coconut, and strawberry cheesecake. I liked the delicate crack of the macaron shells and the creamy, flavorful centers. Each sported a design to distinguish itself from the others further. I also had a piping hot Earl Gray tea along with these treats. Espresso, French and Italian sodas, and lattes are also available. Customers stopped in throughout my visit for a quick purchase or to savor their macarons at nearby tables. Service was disappointing.

Unfortunately, one of the products wasn't labeled since it was more of a seasonal item and the employee couldn't tell me the allergens for the product and so I didn't feel confident or comfortable purchasing it. A lot of people go to a store like this because they have a certain diet preference and I feel like the stuff should be a little bit more knowledgeable or at least have some incentive to ask someone who might know instead of just disregarding a customer . that being said I'm really thankful for vegan options, especially for those of us who have all allergies. I was able to take a few treats home to my baby who also has significant allergies and she really enjoyed the lemon blueberry bar.

They are selling really cute tea ornaments and they have other things like tea pots and cards with funny phrases like "It was you Oolong." They don't have a physical menu because the flavors constantly change. You can look online but for the most part, have to stand behind the counter in diff areas to see alll the flavors! I spotted Almond Milk Tea and she let me smell it and I was sold! It smelled wonderful! When it was actually brewed, it was ok though. It doesn't really have milk in it either :0p My MIL got the Hisbiscus (a tad too sour) and my husband got the Japanese Cherry green tea (that was good and has a mild flavor if you like that sort of thing). They have signs on the table that there is no Wifi because they encourage unplugged conversations and connections.
