My car was brought in for its annual inspection as required by the state of Texas. I chose to bring my car to this shop as this shop is an official vehicle inspection station licensed by DPS. In addition, we have used this auto center for years. At the time of the inspection I was informed that the car needed an oil flush. I was also told that this service was required to pass the inspection. The claim was that the car's oil had not been replaced in years. I disputed this claim but nevertheless I proceeded with the oil flush; I trusted the expert. Two days after, while driving on the freeway, at an outside temperature of 100 degree F or more, I noticed smoke coming out from the front hood. I pulled over and a cloud of smoke came out. I called for assistance and it was quickly discovered that the oil cap was missing. The car's oil was gone. The shop was contacted in person. The events were shared but an employee, "Mr. Rush" refused to accept responsibility for the events. He was disrespectful, ill-mannered, and extremely rude to say the least. He claimed that the issue was about the oil that had not been changed in years (obviously a false claim). Then he proceeded in claiming that we had taken the cap off. Unbelievable! He didn't assume responsibility for the shop not securing the oil cap in place and the car running the risk of ruining the engine. I attempted to get information about the shop owner to follow up on the issue. He claimed that the shop is under a corporation and that such information would not be disclosed. The lack of respect and total disregard for customers is unacceptable. I would not recommend this shop. read more

Went to get my oil changed during the quarantine as it's a small local business in my neighborhood. They took all the precautions they could of to make their clients and their employees comfortable and safe during a pandemic. They took extra steps to clean the steering wheel and other parts that are used often aka full of germs. Polite, professional, friendly. From what I've seen they never make anyone feel dumb or try to gouge them for money. Super respectful gentleman own and work there. I really appreciate this place! I called yesterday about the possibility of getting my New to Texas vehicle inspections (safety and emissions). They don't take appointments for that, but they were still able to help me this morning. I was a little nervous because I've moved a lot and have definitely had my share of car trouble that led to mechanic trouble, if you know what I mean. Things I most appreciated: - Mr. Baradaran was super helpful and polite. That goes a long way when you're already stressed about moving chores and you don't need yet another stressor. He also offered me coffee or water while I waited for the inspection to be done. - The inspection was just an inspection! Which leads to my next point... - LADIES, you know how hard it is to find a mechanic you can trust! My car is old, so I know there were likely many things that could have been picked out today as "things to work on." But I appreciated that the mechanics at this place completed the inspections I came for and let me know that I can come back for any upcoming needs. I took my car here last week to get my state inspection done and guy who did my inspection was super sweet and patient with me! Even offered me some water while I waited. It was done quickly too. I used to get my oil changes here because it was cheap and the owners were nice. That was until I had my car towed there when my radiator over heated. They were trying to charge me a lot of money to get it fixed and when I told them I was going to take it elsewhere I felt like they kept pressuring me to keep my car there for them to fix. In the end I still wanted to take my car somewhere else for a second opinion and so they charged me $50 just for looking at my car! When I questioned why they had to charge me this because they have looked at my car before and never charged me anything he started saying some BS about how I was really getting a discount already because usually he charges $100 to look at the car. But really I felt like he was just trying to get some money out of me since I didn't want to fix my car there. Needed to get a state inspection done so I could register my car in Texas after moving from out of state. I walked in midday on a Monday and they were able to get me in and out in less than 20 minutes for $25.50. The owner was very kind and took time unasked to look up the nearest DMV address for me and to explain all the services the auto center offers. It was clear I was valued as a customer and they were invested in maintaining a positive long term relationship with with their clients. I will be coming back. Also, I felt extremely comfortable with everyone which is not always the case as a woman in auto shops that tend to be majority male staffed. No bravado, loudness, or pushiness, no one talking over you or advising unnecessarily. The owner seemed like a very well educated person by the way he speaks. I have been in the need to change my windshield wipers for a couple weeks now. I bought the driver side thinking the passenger side is still good. Well come to find out they were both bad. I just now pulled over to try to install the driver side wiper myself (as it's starting to rain) and failed. So today as I'm driving down Dairy Ashford I pull into this repair shop and thank God they were open and helped install the driver side and I was able to purchase the passenger side wiper. i bought a used Hyundai Accent and it was overprice. I payed cash for it, it was a old 2008 car l.Come to find out, it started to give me problems. The windshield wasn't good, then the compressor broke down, it was going to cost me close to 2000 to fix within six months of using the car, and I already paid 7000 hard earned cash. My car eventually stalled on the road and would not move and had to be towed. I was so glad this did not happen in the highway. My A/C had been giving me problems for weeks! I called everywhere trying to get it fixed and it was always such a hassle. I brought my Jeep in on a Saturday around 10AM. I might be a little biased towards this place because this is the only place I've ever gone to for my oil changes and state inspections since the day I've gotten my car. Hence why I decided to bump off a star, to make things rather fair. But anyway, I always drive out of this place in confidence, knowing that my car was well taken care of. The oil changes here are about $20 and take 20 minutes (give or take) to get the job done. After hearing about how my friend at another shop charges $40 for their oil changes, I've deemed this place to be pretty damn cheap! This place also has coupons online that you can print out, one of them being an oil change for $15 after purchasing a state inspection. Perfect deal for me around that time! The clerks at the front are just so nice. They'll greet you when you walk in and out. If there's anything wrong with your car, they'll take the time out to explain to you and make sure you understand what's going on. They're pretty patient people so be patient back. This place has other services too so look at their website. As I said before, I always drive out of this place in confidence, and with the service that these people bring, I'm sure you will too. I have been going to Rapid Repair for several years now and I have always been very happy with the quality of the work and how helpful both Rush and Rafi, the owners, continue to be. They always are honest with me and give me their best estimate of the work and the cost involved. I recently wanted to buy a used car and asked them to do an evaluation of the car. The first car I brought to them, they told me I was looking at a car with major transmission problems. The next car was at an excellent price and when I brought it to R&R, they said it needed new struts that were going to cost well over $1000 to buy and install and gave me a written estimate to take back to the used car dealer. He didn't believe the parts cost until he called the dealership and found they were spot on. The used car dealer cut the price of the car by 2/3 of the cost to repair the strut problem. I had R&R do the repairs and I have been really happy with the car over the last six months. If you want an honest, hardworking and very understanding auto shop, you can't do better then Rapid Repair. read more

DON"T GO! THEY BREAK CARS! Awful place, I've asked to check if they can glue back a wooden part on the door that got unattached. When I returned to pickup my car, the part was broken and glued back in pieces with glue sticking out everywhere. The new part cost me $230 plus work to put it on. The owner refused to reimburse any cost. read more
