This dog park is pretty awesome and serves little Leia well. I do like that they have a designated large/small dog area. Mirroring what others have said, you have to walk around the initial large dog park to get to the small - this typically involves some big ones lumbering over and following you down the fence as they eye your little nugget lol. I liked that there were multiple benches for owners to sit on as well as tires, pipes and rocks for the dogs to play around. Not sure about the large park, but the small park has a water faucet to keep your pups refreshed - just bring a portable bowl. Plenty of parking spots at the entrance if you drive over. Do bring mosquito repellant as they ate ravenous after a big rain. read more

What a cute and spacious dog park! I'd never been to a dog park before so I was little worried bringing my little maltese. She can be a little terror when she sees big dogs. Yes, i have one of those annoying little dogs that bark when they see big dogs. You walk down a bit of a paved trail to the park and when you get there, there are two sectioned off areas. One for big dogs and one for small dogs. Awesome! We brought her over to the small dog area and let her loose. She loved running around. There are fun obstacle courses, even though she had no idea what do with them. Either way she had a blast. There are water fountains for them to drink and doggie bags for accidents. read more

Very clean and well kept. Ample parking. I'm impressed how people keep it so clean! Trash cans, those wooden things you can use to bring your dog up and down like in boot camp. Clean benches that are not vandalized... good stuff in this day and age. Be a good, no, be a great dog parent and take with you what you bring... yeah, like camping. Better than the other dog parks in the area. Pros: Most of the walk to get there is paved. Good sized space with tires and large rocks and trees. Fenced in. The mulch ground is nice. The people who go are friendly and majority pay very good attention to what their dogs are doing and recognize if their dog is playing too rough. Cons: Can get very muddy after rain/snow (though the dogs don't seem to mind). Bring your own water, it gets shut off in the winter. Small dog area isn't as nice as the big dog area. read more

Pros: Convenient with plenty of parking. The fence enclosure is nice. Big enough space, with big rocks and concrete things for the dogs to climb on. Overall, this is a nice community dog park. Pros: - Many people complain about the walk, but for our dog we are glad it's not right on a busy road. - Divided large and small dog areas - In warmer weather, spigots for water! - large trash cans for waste collection in multiple locations. - lots of structures and obstacles for dogs to explore and use Cons: - The fences are pretty dilapidated. A smarter dog than ours could easily realize this and hop over in the back. - Continuing with the fence theme, the front gates of the big dog area have not really survived the winter. The latches are easily pushed open/skinny dog heads fit through and might get stuck. - Mulch. It's large chunks, twigs, and pieces that are pretty sharp, fairly loose, and hard to run on. I'm always worried that it's going to get shoved through his foot when he pushes off to play, and frequently he just circles the outside edge where there is an any left so he doesn't have to walk on it. read more

I took my dog here today. It's an excellent dog park and we had a lot of fun. It was busy and there were about 30+ dogs during the 1 hour me and my dog were there. Everyone was welcoming (especially the other dogs!) and helped my shy little pup feel comfortable. The previous reviewer did an excellent job of describing where to go to park and then walk up. Very helpful and accurate! I can't wait for the weather to get nicer, we will be going back often! read more

Great, large dog park with interesting agility things and rocks for dogs to play on. Only con is that I wasn't prepared to walk deep-ish into the woods to reach the dog park. I don't recall that path being lit, so it wouldn't be safe to go out there after dark. I also didn't think it was immediately obvious that you need to walk all the way around the "big dog" area to reach the "small dog" area. I think the placement is a bit odd, since my little dog got growled and barked at by the big dogs as we walked the perimeter of the big dog area to reach the little dog area. read more

Great local dog park!! I went there on a Saturday early afternoon there was many other dog lovers so parking lot is small and was filled up quickly. Everyone was friendly and dogs were frolicking. Huge open space- two parts: one for small dogs and another for large dogs. There are small and big obstacle tire obstacle course for dogs. My dog doesn't usually socialize much so this was a great place for her to do that. I will definitely be going back! :) read more

My doggies love this park!!! They have a blast here! Usually everyone here is super friendly and all the dogs get along if they are big or small! It's a nice little walk from your car to the dog park and the dogs are always exhausted and go right to sleep when they get home! It does get a little muddy if there is rain so be prepared and bring something to cover your backseat of your car!! read more

A very nice dog park. It's all fenced in, so your dog can run free off leash. As other reviewers have noted, there are tires and other obstacles to run around in. The owners and dogs have seemed friendly each time I've come. A secret tip: There's a box with a first aid label on it. It often has dog treats. I've brought extra but I'm not sure if there's someone who stocks it regularly. If there are treats in it, your dog will know. read more

I'd give the park itself 5 stars. There's plenty of space to run around, tires, rocks to climb, concrete tunnels to go through etc. There's also a nice walk through the woods from the parking lot to the actual fenced in park. The reason I have to go with 3 stars is the people. There's always going to be one or two dogs who are bullies or overly aggressive. Sometimes the owner is good at stepping in, sometimes not. But my biggest complaint is that people bring tiny dogs into the large dog area (there's a separate fenced in area for small dogs). My dog is not normally aggressive, but he will chase down small animals like squirrels or rabbits when they start running. There was a tiny dog there again today and my dog started to aggressively chase him down. I had to cut the visit short because I'm sure I'd be considered at fault if he hurt the dog. read more

I was in the area and took my dog there. It's a nice walk to the area where the dog park and has a beautiful natural feel. When we came up to the gates, it was for the large dogs only, the small dog park was behind in the way back. All the large dogs came running over, while their owners were in the far left corner talking. I notice the fence is not 6 ft, and some of the very large breeds of dogs can easily jump that fence. Also I have a small dog, and we had to walk all the way around the large dog area, while being followed, barked at, growled at until we finally at the back or behind the large dog park could enter ours for small dogs. It's nice to have dog barks, but I think whoever designed this one, must have large dogs, since the lay out of the park is so difficult for small dogs, who take tiny steps. The small dog park is nice, just not convenient for owners with small dogs to enter the park. I would prefer to continue walking the trails with my little dog than go to the small dog park there. read more

This dog park is great! There are two fenced in areas. One for large dogs and another for smaller dogs, but to get to the small dog area, you have to walk directly by the large dogs. There's lots of parking and benches for seating and they have obstacles and toys throughout for the dogs to play with. It does get muddy at times, and during warmer weather there are bugs, but the area has always been well maintained when I've gone there. Everyone that I've met has been friendly, along with their dogs. It's just a wonderful, local park overall! read more

Yesterday was my first time bringing my puppy to a dog park. She is a 6 month old pit bull mix. The walk to the park itself was nice and peaceful. The park was very well kept, plenty of obsticles, water, and toys for the dogs to play with as well. There were about 30 different dogs, all different breeds and sizes. All the dogs got along great and she went straight go sleep when she got home. Highly recommend! read more

Went here for the first time with our dog today. Fenced areas are very generously sized to accommodate lots of running and rough housing. A little muddy but not too bad considering the season. I absolutely love this dog park - no doubt it is the best one in the area South of Boston. My dog has the best time every time we come here! The other people who come are friendly and have great dogs (never any issues). There is water available and also a kit with first aid items and doggie treats! It's perfect for all dogs because there's a small park and large park (both fenced in). There are rocks and tunnels and tires for the dogs to run through -- they can get their exercise and a little agility training! read more

Great park, excellent location. Trees provide shade on hot days, coverage from rain so it doesn't turn into a swamp during rainy spells. Big park. Good dog people who are friendly and clean up after their dogs. One reviewer mentioned that the fences are not 6 feet tall. This is true, but I have never seen a dog park with fences any taller than these standard 4 foot fences. If a large dog wants to get over a fence, even a 6 foot fence will not stop them. In my 10 years going to parks, this has not happened a single time. read more

I went with my two dogs yesterday -- both under 15 lbs. -- and it was great! We ended up in the "bigger" dog enclosure because there were no other dogs in the one supposedly for smaller dogs. The owners of the bigger dogs were wonderful about making sure their dogs played well, and my dogs (once they got the idea they could run freely) had fun. It's clean, shaded, and well thought out. Unfortunately, the park is not very safe in my mind, not so due to the structure of the park itself but by its users. There are a lot of pit bulls and other aggressive breeds there, often with very little care and control by their owners. My wife got scratched by a pit bull there and the owner ran off as soon as he could (Animal Control was very little help). Despite the other positive reviews on Yelp, I'd recommend you and your pets be safe and avoid this park. read more

I thought this park would be great based on the pictures, but I was shocked at how people and their dog behaved! There was poop several times on the paved walkway up to the park and once inside, several owners ignored their dogs and never picked up after them. Also, since the dogs were ignored, the owners didn't intervene to stop their dogs from harassing others. I over heard a group complaining about other nearby dog parks claiming they were "cliquey," and it's ironic, because this group was actually doing the same thing. The icing on the cake was that one dog owner lit a cigarette and was smoking in the park. What??? That's when I left, and my dog couldn't wait to get out of there. She was uncomfortable and scared the whole time, but loves all the other parks we've been to. We will never return. It's too bad too, because it has potential based on the terrain and paths, but the dog owners need to take better care of it and follow the general expectations/responsibilities of owning a dog. And of using a community space. read more
