Since our only times here have been on probably the busiest day of the year, please take that into consideration with my review. The not so great: Parking is a bit tight, but not impossible if you got a bit of patience. There are no public restrooms, this year (2024) there didn't seem to be any bins for dog poop or trash, there is only one water station at the front. The good: With the exception of one family not checking their dog's resource guarding, every other dog we saw was so well behaved with responsible owners. Between the beach, the walking path, and the hill, there's so much opportunity to run out your pup! While we were a bit bummed that high tide took away the ability to walk the entirety of the peninsula on the beach, the water was clearer than it is during low tide, so we'd definitely recommend a high tide visit. After a little over an hour there, our German Shepherds were completely wiped out and even after the 40-minute ride home where they napped, they were still conked until dinner time.

Pros: - View of the water & the city depending on where you start - A few places to park your car (I normally park on the Dorcester side and have yet to see the lot completely full) - There are a few athletic fields so could be a great place to play some ball Cons: - There is almost always dog poop in the grassy area so be careful about where you step & if you are considering a picnic I would carefully inspect the floor before laying claim to a piece of grass.

It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!

There are other local dog parks if you want your dog to run free with his friends. This isn't that place. The view along the water is lovely and I've heard that you can go in the water as well as fish. There are about 6 miles or so of terrain to cover. Not a lot but just enough to work up a sweat and burn off some of the pandemic poundage we've gained. This park has been one in a rotation of outdoor spaces where my husband and I are spending free time as a way to get some fresh air and exercise. No permits, no fees! Just show up! Keep yourself moving. Eat less, walk more.

If you want to allow your dog off leash, Hingham will provide you with a permit. Its free to apply and they just need proof of vaccines and a homeowners' policy. It's a very quick process. I applied for mine and it was approved within 1 day. I just haven't picked it up yet. I don't plan on walking here off leash too much, but will let my dog off leash if its a quiet morning. The MC Councilman Richard Ash announced the entertainment such as the Drag Queens from Provincetown, the 3 were extremely talented by Lip synching popular songs then BOOTY VORTEX the DISCO GROUP WOWED THE AUDIENCE from 70's and 80's! Then presented Scholarships to one Senior of Quincy High School and one from North Quincy High school! Plus and award to the Pastors from The Church of Presidents across from City Hall! The hit entertainment was Quincy's own son.....TORRENCE who performed several songs along with his band and dancers! So much activity and food such as Black Creek BBQ, Aahhh ROMA LLC and Ice Cream Truck SMILES by the MILES and a popular Beverage BREAK ROCK BREWING COMPANY Tent. So many Vendors and so many attendees truly enjoyed a fun full day on the Park for Pride 2025
