Be careful when putting the address into your navigation, especially Waze users, as it took us to the totally wrong location at first. Once you arrive, however, parking is pretty straightforward. It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!

I wasn't the only person going, but because I wasn't the only person going, their parking lot was full, so parking was a bit of an issue. I checked out the grafitti, making my way around the folks standing or sitting around, to get a closer look at the rocks. I stayed on the grassy ground while I noticed some folks climbing up the rocky cliffs, both with and without rock climbing gear.

There are a number of different trails to explore that are well marked/kept (similar to all Trustees spaces). After some rain in the area, some of the areas are a bit muddy, so one may want to keep an eye on the weather/bring hiking shoes or other shoes you don't mind getting some mud on. Some good friends of ours just adopted a dog who they were told was fully grown but has gained 10 pounds in the 2 weeks that they've had him and has *enormous* paws. He's gonna be a whopper. We have two tiny and sometimes a little hyper dogs that love the chase and be chased game. Three words that fix everything - puppy play date. On a brisk (ok it was 15 degrees) morning last week, we took the three dogs to the Harry Downes and let them go. It was great to see them wrestling and chasing-- even our littlest one went into a big snow drift after a ball (even though she's usually prissy about the cold). It was great fun and there were a handful of dogs there despite the temperature. It's a little hidden away in Brookline off rte 9, but still pretty near JP. We'll definitely going back-- especially if our big-dog-owning friends have anything to say about it. Minus a star for the hours. I'd like to see a dedicated dog area, but these are often small and not as nice as this park is.

Due to the limited parking spots nearby, it may not be a favorable place for tourists. It is popular with residents nearby, which gives a quiet place for recreation. The park is connected with Paul Revere Park by walkways. Visitors can take pictures from both sides of the Zakim Bridge. The lights along with the walkway are usually on in the evenings. If the metered parking spaces are occupied, some additional spaces are available on the north side of the building of the Education First (EF). Enjoy this neat and quite place for summer.
