Be careful when putting the address into your navigation, especially Waze users, as it took us to the totally wrong location at first. Once you arrive, however, parking is pretty straightforward. It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!

This is lazy and disrespectful. But I do go in there often.

Since our only times here have been on probably the busiest day of the year, please take that into consideration with my review. The not so great: Parking is a bit tight, but not impossible if you got a bit of patience. There are no public restrooms, this year (2024) there didn't seem to be any bins for dog poop or trash, there is only one water station at the front. The good: With the exception of one family not checking their dog's resource guarding, every other dog we saw was so well behaved with responsible owners. Between the beach, the walking path, and the hill, there's so much opportunity to run out your pup! While we were a bit bummed that high tide took away the ability to walk the entirety of the peninsula on the beach, the water was clearer than it is during low tide, so we'd definitely recommend a high tide visit. After a little over an hour there, our German Shepherds were completely wiped out and even after the 40-minute ride home where they napped, they were still conked until dinner time.

Unfortunately, I had no idea how high the dunes were! If you've never climbed a sand dune before, let me tell you - it's not easy! It's exhausting as for every step, your foot sinks down at least half way back from where it started. The sand starts fairly soon after the trail begins and you're soon trekking uphill in sand. We made it up to the top of the first dune and 2 of the 3 of us were beat. I took great lengths to stay as high in elevation as possible in making my way to the second dune, where I saw the ocean and maybe two dune shacks in the distance - at least half a mile or a mile away. I couldnt imagine walking that far in the sand. Overall, the trail was nice and it gave some nice views, but be prepared and know going in that its not going to be easy.

There weren't a lot of people there because we came somewhat early and we got a good spot. If you just want to lie on the beach then it's a pretty good spot. Otherwise, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have feet made of steel. The slushies are great though, and the rest of the food is decent.
