Randevoo is a restaurant on Main St. in Bethlehem that specializes in sushi and other Asian inspired cuisine. The menu isn't very substantial, but everything is delicious! I've had the pleasure to try the Randevoo Tempura, the BBQ Shrimp Skewer, the Sliced Short Rib Skewer, and the Korean Fried Chicken. All fantastic! My favorite menu item so far is definitively the Sliced Short Rib Skewer. It's prepared with garlic, ginger, sake marinade, peanut sauce, green onions, and sesame seeds. Highly recommend! Celebrated with family for the holidays by treating them to a unique but delicious dinner. We ended up having atleast 15 in our party. This is my best effort to capture that experience for others planning similar events. Let me start off by saying that they are a first come first serve restaurant. They do not do reservations and during heavy holiday periods parking is quite limited and will likely involve a short walk. That was the case for all of my party during our visit. The restaurant and entrance are not immediately visible from the road, especially at night. But using Yelp driving instructions we got very close Upon entry we noticed two menus on the tables and noted one was a rather limited meal menu and the other was for a co-located tavern in the restaurant. The limited menu might deter some from choosing the restaurant but I think it's worth the chance. The entire space exudes a hipster, eclectic library tone with an extensive beer selection and a restaurant menu equally as unique featuring an asian fusion that appears to include Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean tastes. I am uncertain but it felt as thought the Tavern and Restaurant operated as two businesses for billing. While odd, I didn't mind as I wanted to treat my family to some fine cuisine and they were welcomed to consume alcohol at their own expense. For most it would be two transactions. I did make an effort to call ahead as we had a large party and I hoped to get a commitment from the owner for reserved seating. The last thing I wanted was to arrive as a party of 15 only to wait an hour for seating. Sadly, this was not an option. At the time it was quite frustrating, but in all honesty I did not get the impression that they cater heavily to large parties. Upon arrival I spoke to the wait staff and explained that I was hoping to run a tab where I could avoid making multiple trips to pay for meals. They were amenable to the request which alleviated some of my earlier apprehension. I also made the decision based on the menu to order multiple items of numerous dishes and asked they be delivered to the table as they were plated. I selected at least 12 dishes with multiple orders on each dish to enable spreading them down the tables we collected and joined. The flow of food from the kitchen kept pace with the appetites of my family. In the end there were a couple obvious wins and losses from the night. Thankfully the overall tapas style dinner for 15 was a hit. The Korean Chicken was by far the most notable of the night. The meat was tender, the seasoning on point with a slight hint of spicy. Additionally the Shrimp Skewers, Beef Short rib, Vegan and Carne buns and wontons were quickly dispatched. The pork belly lo mein and crab dip were the low points. I think for most in my party the fatty pork belly was unappealing while the crab appeared to be unappreciated for its flavor. One important note that made it difficult to assess all dishes, for those who cannot eat pork, a great many dishes included pork. As a result I was unable to sample the pork dishes to give more clear feedback. The Lo mein and Crab dip included pork. We also ordered some sushi dishes to include Nigiri, Tempura Shrimp and Tempura Salmon as most in our group were not fans of raw fish (their loss). The sushi was not the best I have had but overall it was decent and provided my non-sushi eating family with an introduction to sushi. For dessert I ordered 6 orders of the pineapple ginger upside down cake with ice cream and asked the staff to just serve them as half dishes to finish the meal off with a sweet note. The dessert was delicious. At the end of the meal, I settled the bill and it was most definitely not cheap but the positive experience and enjoyable food left everyone pleased. In retrospect I would have preferred to substitute the two lo mein orders for the Korean Chicken and the crab dip for either wontons or buns. My final assessment of the visit was that the staff was super attentive and customer focused, the food was overall delicious and the setting made for a comfortable social environment to celebrate a family get together after Christmas. I removed a star just to note the initial challenge when I was trying to select and secure the venue for the night as well as the two food items that were not hits. Knowing what I know now, I and my family have a clear idea of what we really enjoyed and would happily return for those items. Hopefully this helps others who are on the fence given the limited menu. read more

What a find!! While visiting a college nearby we happened upon a cool bookstore but we hear music playing so we follow it - we get inside and see this cool little sushi bar looking cafe. Holy surprise DELICIOUS food I wanted everything on the menu. The rolls were great the pork buns were soft and airy I had pork belly that was so tender I can not even tell you how good!! The girl that was working was adorable attentive professional and handling all the orders running the food and had a spirit that was great!! I can not wait to go Back!! Wait I almost forgot! Came here for a double date and it was perfect! Even though the area was booming at dinner time on a Saturday night, it didn't take long to find a table. While we were waiting we got drinks at the bar. Our order was taken promptly and the food was brought to the table fast and hot and fresh. The sushi was great! We also got the fried chicken and short ribs which were phenomenal. I loved the casual, laid back atmosphere and live music too! I will definitely be back, it made for a great night out! read more

I wish I had ordered something else. I wasn't very hungry having just eaten not too long before, but due to the State's COVID guidelines, we had to order food if we wanted to stay and have drinks at Lost Tavern. The staff was wonderful - very friendly. I asked to have the vegan bao buns in a to-go container so I could have them later. It could be due to the simple fact that I tried the buns a few hours later, in combination with the fact that they are vegan, but the buns didn't have the light, fluffy airy texture I'm used to. Wow! Wow! Look no further for the best sushi in the Lehigh Valley. Sushi chef Greg and company do an amazing job coming up with inventive and flavorful combinations. They even have a vegan sushi option. They also have a full kitchen menu with a selection of Asian inspired dishes but I am addicted to the sushi. We come every Sunday for sushi Sunday! Distance seating indoor and outdoors. Once seated you can head to the back and order food from Randevoo and then a server will swing by and take any beer orders for Lost Tavern. Can't go wrong with any of the seafood like ceviche and sushi. But they also have Korean wings and Carnitas pork bao buns. After enjoying the shops and sights in Bethlehem, we took a break from walking to grab a bite for lunch. We enjoyed the beautiful ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. My husband ordered the Steamed Pork Dumplings. In addition to the stylish presentation of the dish, we loved the taste of the dumplings. The Thai vinaigrette dipping sauce was sweet with a slight kick, which was delightful. I got myself a California Roll, which was made with real (not imitation) crabmeat and flying fish eggs on the outside. It was served with a side of soy sauce, fresh ginger, and wasabi. The roll was stunning in both presentation and taste. The restrooms were very clean and had accommodations for men, women, and family. Unique selections and experience. Food is very good. The restaurant has more of a cafeteria feel- you order at the register and take a number, and they bring your food fast. Lost Tavern is within the same space but is a separate business. If you're there to eat and drink, you have to pay at two different registers. So, it's two different places within a bookstore space. I am addicted to this place! I drag guests and anyone I can to Randevoo at least 3 times a month. Expect to pay a little more than usual but that's in exchange for fresh fish, interesting flavors, and a bright, beautiful presentation. Sometimes there is trivia, sometimes there is a small band playing, but the food is always amazing. I came here last night with my family for the first time, and would highly recommend. We shared smoked bacon poblano wontons that were awesome! A total flavor burst in your mouth. However, Randevoo has provided such a refreshing take on asian fusion cuisine from Buns and Dumplings to Lo Mein and Korean Fried Chicken. Today I tried their Sushi and I wanted to see if I could get traditional style sushi (nigiri) and they were more than happy to! I was blown away with the quality in the fish and rice that they used. I've eaten here quite a few times. I find the food to be good, not great. The food is creative, however they have no gluten free options which is odd in 2022. They have no salads, again kind of strange. Most options are kind of heavy with sauces etc. The prices are almost ridiculously high for the portions. This is a mixed review. I am giving three stars because of the main dish I ordered. I tried the sea urchin. Kind of thought is was going to be a sushi roll because when I asked if it was 6 or 8 pieces I was told five, I guess she meant strips of meat. It was an urchin carcass full of rice with four pieces of urchin on top with some sesame seeds. It was sitting on a bed of greens with some wasabi and sauce in cups. That cost me $27 for a cup of rice with decorations. The goat cheese and basil wontons on the other hand were great. Full of flavor and I felt were more reasonably priced at $8 for five of them and sauce. The cashier was knowledgeable about the food and flavors, just mistook the urchin as a sushi roll. When I am back in town again I will try this place again. Also, they had live music when I was here and was quite loud inside, I'm glad I ordered to go or I probably would not have eaten here since all of the tables outside were taken, I soon found out why. While I waited for my food, everything that I saw coming out of the kitchen looked great and I saw many plates that had been cleared, so the food looks good.
