The staff make you feel like you are inconveniencing them or don't want you there, even when its not crowded. This spot brought back some great memories for me, as it used to be a Damon's back in the day, and the layout hasn't changed much. My wife and I started with the coconut shrimp appetizer--always a safe bet, and this one didn't disappoint. Everything was fried to perfection, and the dipping sauce it came with was delicious. For our mains, my wife had the blackened fish tacos, which she really enjoyed, and I went with the pit beef melt, which was very good as well. We were greeted with a friendly host immediately at the door and taken to our seat. My husband ordered French onion soup. He said it was probably the worst he has ever had. It had no flavor and tasted watered down. We both had an order of wings for our dinner. They came out in a timely manner but were the smallest wings. Probably the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had! And I've tried them at many places. They used real corned beef, not lunchmeat like a lot of places do. It was tender and no fat. I am a huge fan of the Copperhead Grill and always look forward to dining here when I'm in the area. The food is always good , it's usually great service and the bar is a fun place. Passing the bar area while being seated the smell of dingy beer overwhelmed me and I remembered this is kind of a college bar , it smells like a college bar. The service was good for an early Saturday night and the food was also great. We started with the mozzarella sticks and they were awesome, very big and tasty accompanied by ranch and marinara sauce. Highly recommend the mozzarella sticks! I think my burger was honestly one of the best I have ever had , I remember the burgers being good but not this good! You can taste the freshness of the meat and the bun was also fantastic. I had the special with grilled onions,peppers and Cheese wiz... delicious! The Mac and cheese was an upgraded side that I was glad I ordered, fantastic! Definitely go with the Mac and cheese! The chicken fajita was also wonderful ( until the ride home ) They are served with corn salsa , salsa and rice. The chicken was good , it could have been spiced but still good. 4 of us meet here once a month. It is usually pretty full but never a long wait time. The greeters are always happy to see you and are organized in finding us a table. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Tonight our server was Steven. What a great employee! Not only was he excellent at waiting on us, he was also entertaining. Tried copperhead for the first time this weekend after passing it on the road! We arrived around 6:30 for dinner, the place was full but the wait wasn't long, probably 10 minutes when we were told 20. We were happy to be sat outside when we told the hostess first available. The outdoor patio was large with a lot of tables. Only thing to be aware of outside is depending on where you are sat, you might be within elbows distance of the table next to you. It didn't bother us, just made me extra nosey listening to our neighbors conversation lol. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating with the menu. I got the fish tacos, which were amazing. When I asked the waitress how many tacos came and she said 2 I was a little hesitant but after seeing the size of them I completely understand why. My boyfriend got a burger which he said was extremely flavorful. The service was a little slow but again, the place was packed and prices were reasonable. You gotta see these mozzarella sticks. They are as thick as my dad's fat fingers but much longer. I got a steak salad here as well. Normally I'll ask for blue cheese dressing with steak salad but this joint serves it with blue cheese crumbles. So blue cheese dressing would be a bit redundant. So the salad comes with balsamic vinaigrette which was a great choice. These salads are very large. Now I'm not a huge fan of coconut but the coconut shrimp appetizer was excellent. It's not especially cheap but the prices aren't horrible. In conclusion it's very similar to a chain like Apple bees but the food is way better. read more
