We had a minor car issue en route to Flagstaff, so we stopped in Ash Fork. We needed some grub so we wandered until we found this little gem. The folks there were extra nice and welcoming. The waitress was pleasant and took care of us the whole time. The food was great. The three of us all enjoyed our meals. We all had burgers. I had one with cheddar, sautéed onions, and some A-1 sauce. The burger was cooked as ordered. The meat was fresh and not frozen or preformed. The interior of the restaurant was nice and cozy. I will probably make sure I stop here now and then as I go back and forth to Flagstaff.

Sometimes on the road you don't have a choice where to eat. This was the case when I stopped at the Ranch House for an early lunch. The restaurant is clean and the staff was attentive, friendly, and unmasked. This is rural AZ and I would expect no covid measures, but they did have some sanitizer on the counter. I asked if the biscuits were fresh and appreciated the honest "no". I ordered the Frisco burger and it was what you would expect. It really should not have lettuce though as the grilled bread and burger wilted it immediately. Lots of thick cut fries came with it. Its decent food and good value.

Overall, the service was okay. When we walked in we were not greeted until we requested to see if we could sit down. The food was pretty good but the ketchup seemed a bit grainy. The soda was a bit flat. I had the burger on sourdough garlic bread and it was delicious.

Wonderful stop on our long drive. This place is so cute and they really went all out decorating for Halloween/fall! It was clean. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the home cooking style of food and large portions.

Staying open late to help put stranded people on I-40 from the snowstorm.

Great place for a meal on Interstate 40. Small but quaint. Good food, reasonably priced, well managed by personable owners.

If you pass through, try the Sharon special (has browns topped with the green chili, with cheese and onions)!

Such a gem in Chino Valley! From the moment you walk in, everyone is incredibly friendly,…read morewelcoming, and helpful. The service was fast without feeling rushed, and the food was superb. The menu has all the classic café favorites, but what really sets this place apart is the quality. You can truly taste the care and love that goes into the food; everything feels thoughtfully made with fresh, homemade ingredients. I didn't catch the name of our server but she was so cute and sweet. It's the kind of spot that feels warm and inviting, and you leave looking forward to coming back. If I were a local, I would definitely be a regular. Highly recommend!

Very average. Nothing to write home about in my view. Coffee service is either too aggressive or…read morenon existent. I prefer to drink my coffee with creamer & get a refill when I've finished the cup, not deluting it in between. The menu is very cleaver in stating the toast comes in 1 or 2 pieces, not slices as we normally expect. So for 2 "pieces" you really get one slice just cut diagonally in half. I look at these things & wonder where else have they cut corners to such an extreme. One thing that is beyond their control is the sales tax you pay in Chino Valley. It adds a 4% on top of state & county tax. You end up paying that tax in this town even if you just buy food at a market, which I personally view as just wrong. I visit Lake Havasu once in a while where they add just 1% but the roads aren't full of pot holes & have all the services one would need.
