This was our 3rd trip to Annaplois and we make this our go to spot before a private house party concert nearby. Very friendly staff, this year we had Wyatt on his first day. We'll done Wyatt. Great comfort food and the boys on the grill were working their butts off. read more

We had a great dinner during happy hour with starters at a reduced price and drinks also discounted. We had rockfish bites, so delicious! Tuna tartare, nachos with chili and fried green tomatoes! All was tasty and plenty of food for a party of 3. read more

Went here twice and I unfortunately still can't figure out why so many people come here. The service was insanely slow and clearly stressed, but still friendly. My order came out late and it wasn't even everything I ordered. Our server never brought us ketchup and mustard, nor did they ask if we needed any. We waited for them to come back but they never looked back at our table so my husband went to the bar to get it. Now on to the food. My burger came on a soggy bun and the sauteed mushrooms I asked for came out looking more like steamed canned mushrooms. Granted, I'm not from here so many that's just how they look on the east coast? The fries were limp and greasy. We waited so long for our food that I really didn't have the heart to send it back. I just ate half because I was really hungry and we left as soon as we could. Really it feels like the only reason to come here is for the atmosphere. Either way, twice disappointed, won't be coming back for a third time. Bummer because this place is so close to our house too. read more

Service has been very kind everytime we have gone here. Their different specials for every day of the week definitely make every visit more interesting. We especially like their Sunday $5 burgers, it is a great deal! We have tried a few of their burgers and they are fantastic. Also, the happy hour specials are incredible. The crab dip is plentiful for 2 people, and high quality. Thanks again! read more

Omg so we are here from California visiting family and wanted to do something different. There was a bit of a wait but we had a beer at the bar and then we're seated within 40 min All the food was great but I'm really hear to talk up the crabby tots! OMG! A huge plate and we were practically fighting over them. Also Inhave tension the outstanding wait stuff who were not just friendly but super fun! I can't wait to go back! read more

Nope. First visit and our last. We ordered a hamburger and the pulled pork sandwich. French fries and tater tot's instead of the "house chips" cost an extra dollar each and we decided to splurge. Hamburger was OK but nothing to brag about. The fries came out dark, limp and oily. When we brought it to the waiters attention he said "sometimes they come out like that and sometimes they don't". I asked him to let the kitchen know that they were not good and that it looked like they went into the oil before it got hot enough. He brought us our $30 check without comment the next time he came back to the table. No offer to take the dollar off for the terrible fries. The pulled pork was moist but had almost no taste. There was a half tablespoon of what they called "cilantro lime coleslaw" but you could taste no cilantro and no lime. The tater tots were good. We both agreed that the iced tea was good. Looks like a fun place for younger people to come to drink, socialize and eat barfood. Definitely not a place to go for the pulled pork, french fries or staff that is concerned about bringing awful french fries to the table. read more

The extra star is for the server handling the large party next to us. Our server was MIA for most of our visit. We kept having to ask the other server to find her so we could get drink refills and pay our bill. How can you enjoy conversation when you have to keep turning your head looking for your waitress? Food was disappointingly subpar. Fish and chips failed miserably. Although breaded, the fish had no seasoning. French fries were greasy and tasteless as well. We ate maybe 25% of our meal leaving the rest. I doubt we'll be back. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. read more

I now have a great experience with food and beverage. Lynn normally is my bartender. She's the very best you could ask for. The service is 10 plus. My favorite dish is the salmon BLT. Honestly if you like Salmon this is for you. Great job ! read more

The burgers didn't taste like beef. I don't know if it was freezer burnt or just red corned beef ? Looked nasty and tasted even worse. Drinks served in plastic cups that are tiny. Went for St.Patrick's day and it was just a weird atmosphere. read more

So I ordered food , during happy hour, had a good interaction with the bartenders. I ordered a cheese pizza bit into it and the longest black hair was in my food. I notified the bartender and she offered to make me a new pizza or tuna which was a little strange. I want to be clear that she offered, I said no. At this time she takes the pizza off of my bill. I wont be returning, because of this . I am sure that I am overreacting, but i wouldve comped the entire thing. I paid and made no big fuss in the restaurant, but that was really messed up. read more

Stopped here after a day in the sun at the Ren. Fair, and the place was hopping. Service was friendly, but the food is standard bar fare. It wasn't bad, but nothing to get too excited about. read more

Paul, with the slightly receding hairline, checked in on me, though I was sitting at the bar. He asked how the half price Rockfish Bites were, knowing clear well that's it's probably the best thing on the menu. I, too, like asking questions I already know the answer to. Half price beers, $6 burgers and fries on Monday, at a time when Joe Biden is shocked that hamburger is over $5 a pound, lobster night on Mondays, Prime Rib on Tuesday, whats not to like about this place? Unfortunately Amanda is quitting at the end of the month. All the beautiful women are taken, my friend Tree Chris says. At my age, all we have is leftovers. Nevertheless, I will happily eat a leftover Louis XVI cut of Prime Rib. To hell with franchises that have ruined America. Support local family owned. Paul has management material written all over him, to quote the consultants Bob & Bob from the movie Office Space. read more

Blown away. Literally. Our server could not have been more pleasant and accommodating for my daughters birthday. And accommodating to our request for specific food. Super friendly server, and our order was exactly what I wanted. Being a bartender for years, we are pretty picky. Highly recommend. Kettle chips were fresh, cider was cold, and food was HOT when it came out, and not from sitting in the window. Highly recommend. read more

Great food and even better beer. My favorite place to spend an evening out of the house.

It was date night so of course the hubby and I had to stop by our favorite restaurant. We really appreciated the COVID precautions. The food was on point!! We had the pleasure of being served by the lovely Dawn. She was extremely professional, polite and provided exceptional service. My suggestion is to have an open mind when selecting an entree. As I mentioned, the hubby and I come here frequently so I make a point to try something different each time. I have yet to be disappointed. read more

My wife and I eat here quite often and are usually happy with the food and service. Our experience yesterday, however, was horrendous. Our server, Dawn, was not only blatantly rude, but her attitude also came off as if the last thing she wanted to do was serve us. She was so busy texting on her phone and chatting with other servers, that we actually had to flag her down multiple times to fill up our water cups when they were visibly empty -- even then, she seemed exasperated when we asked her to do so! She also was not wearing gloves when delivering our drinks, though we have had other servers in the past wear them. We asked her to wear them and she gave us an attitude about it -- this is not acceptable, especially when we know that the servers typically wear them here! I'm not sure if Dawn is a new server or not, but she didn't know the answers to any of our questions about the specials and drinks: she constantly had to go and ask another server for the answers. Regardless, being new does not excuse rude behavior, especially in customer service. We love the food too much to not come back, though we will be requesting to not have Dawn as our server -- we recommend you do the same. read more

Two coworkers that live in Annapolis insisted that we get together here for a working lunch while I was in DC. From Dulles to here is not exactly crossing the street, so the entire time I was making the half loop around the Beltway, I was muttering how this place had better be worth it. And yes, it certainly was! We set up and spread out on a table in the back. No wifi, but we were hooked up with a Verizon MiFi so all was good. Our waitress got us food and left us alone so that we could hammer out yet another useless business document and worse yet, read it out loud! When the work part was over, one of my coworkers excused himself, something about having a family at home that misses him. That sign of weakness alone was enough to cause me to reach for the whisky. Or at least that is my excuse. The other coworker and I decided to stay for 'just one.' When that just one was finished (at about 1 AM), we had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality our hosts displayed. They put up with our left wing liberal rantings (it just seemed like a good position to take out here in the middle of the woods) and didn't seem at all threatened by our elevated tone of voice. The food here is excellent bar grub. I don't remember (much of anything come to think of it) there being anything particularly healthy on the menu, which by itself is an extra star. I mean, really....why come to a bar in the woods and look for humus and spinach? They have live music at this place, although they didn't the evening we were there (unless one of us ended up singing on the bar.....which may have happened by the way). So, while rereading this entire review, I've come to the conclusion that I remember very few actual details of the visit here, but from the pounding in my head the next morning, I give this Annapolis gem 4 stars and a hearty recommendation for all to stop in and indulge. read more

Super friendly! We walked in and the bartender was like "HI!" WHY, HELLO GOOD SIR! We grabbed a booth, the service was attentive and friendly. Couldn't get a frozen beverage, but apparently that is just an MD thing - no frozen drinks it seems, or at least I couldn't find one for the life of me LOL! Husband got the crab melt which he loves, I had the uhhhhhh roast beef sandwich? It was open face, huge, and tasty. Mom got a big salad. Generally, a win and you don't have to fight with downtown Annapolis traffic to get Rams Head food. read more

I have given this restaurant more stars, because the food has improved, and their amazing Saizon (sp?) beer they are currently serving. It's almost like a dunkel, which I LOVE. They have added a few new things to their appetizers, the crab stuffed mushrooms which were pretty surprisingly good...I will have to try the shrimp pin wheels next time I go in since I've heard some rave reviews about them as well. My bf got the Italian grabber, I got the generals panini. Both VERY good. Fresh ingredients, and great portions. All in all, a great dining experience. Wanted to try the pork sandwich, but I was one person too late, as the last of the pork was ordered right before I ordered mine. I'll have to try it next time. And I still think they do have the best happy hour deal in town. Hands DOWN. TELL ME IF I AM WRONG!!! ;-) read more

This is the first time I've been to Ram's Head, since it switched over from Rudy's. And what a difference time (and probably a decent amount of money) has made! I used to think of the place as strictly a biker bar. I only went once while it was Rudy's, but was pretty turned off by the paper plates and plastic utensils, to match the metal folding chairs. Since then, it has become significantly nicer (although still mostly a bar, and very casual). The food was what surprised me though. I got the fresh cut french fries with bacon, cheese, and gravy (yeah, I know, very healthy). They were outstanding! It's hard to screw that order up, but still, very good. For my main course, I got the crab mac and cheese. I was surprised to find it was even better than I expected it to be. The mac and cheese would have been good on its own, but it was absolutely loaded with crab meat. Easily every bite had some crab in it, and there was more than enough left over to take home. Of course, as usual, I left my to go box at the restaurant :( I just wish I remembered to take a picture of it before I had eaten half of it....it was impressive. I will definitely be back again soon. They also had live music. Typically, I don't like live music (just too loud for me). But, it was a pretty good jazz/blues group (Ursula, was the lead singer's first name) which made for a nice atmosphere while we ate. They don't have live music every night, though. They serve dinner until 11pm, and then just pizza until 1am! read more

Loved this place! Stopped in for a late lunch with the boyfriend. He grew up in Sherwood Forrest across the street, so he was more than excited to stop by an old favorite. The atmosphere is nice. Lots of big TVs, a big bar area, and nice new bathrooms! Definitely an A+ in my book. The bartender/waitress was very knowledgeable about beer and food. I ordered their house IPA and some nachos, and my guy got the cheesesteak and the Gypsy lager. The beer was great and cold, and the food came out fast and hot. The nachos are HUGE. I mean they are served on a pizza tray. SO MUCH FOOD. And there were plenty of toppings, unlike a lot of other places where you basically get a bag of chips with a tiny amount of toppings. Under the chips there was a layer of hot refried beans, like some treasure at the bottom of a treasure chest. Their draft house root beer is amazing!! Order some!!! read more

I have been to other Rams Heads but I think this place has won my heart. It is close to home, yet off the beaten path. We have gone with other couples and just my husband and I. The atmosphere is inviting. They offer local live music on the weekends with no cover. They offer a multitude of happy hour and daily food specials. Drink specials are usually from 4 PM - 7 PM with a free food item from 5 PM - 7 PM. They have a World Beer Club, which you can join for free on Tuesdays. You will get to sample over 100 beers from around the world and upon completion you will receive various gifts from the Roadhouse. They serve Fordham Brew and offer a sampler with five of their Brews for $5.95. A great way to sample their regular drafts and their seasonal draft. For appetizers, we have had their pizza pan nachos (served plain, w/chicken or w/chilli) and their perogies. The nachos are broiled, giving them a great taste and allowing the chips to remain crisp. The perogies were fried and served with sour cream, garnished wiht scallions. Both were great. Our entrees have included: Dos Amigos Tacos - Beer battered fish tacos served with crunchy coleslaw and chipotle mayonnaise. Side accompaniments are rice and black beans and a small side of guacamole. Not a fan of the crunchy coleslaw but this is the perfect meal for the small appetite or someone who partook of two many appetizers. Tavern Burger - served with chips or for a little more perogies or fries. This is an angus burger served on a kaiser roll with a pickle chip. Grilled to perfection. The Rueben: classic with corned beef or turkey, saukraut, thousand island dressing and swiss cheese on rye. Though we have yet to try the pizza, it is next on our list. They have a pizza deal which includes an original pizza and a six pack of domestic beer for $19.99. This is for to go only. The staff is always pleasant and is well versed in offering insights to the menu and specials. All this being said, if you are looking for a warm inviting pub atmosphere with quality food and good service, this is a great place to go with friends or your significant other. read more

This is a great place for brunch, lunch or dinner. The service is friendly but it can get very busy very quickly. From the moment we were greeted at the door we felt safe and well taken care of! This was our first dine in experience since Covid 19 so we were nervous, but no worries we were social distanced, our area was washed down, the menus, either wiped or disposable, the waitress staff very accommodating and in gloves and masks the entire time. The manager checked in with us, the food was great. Overall a wonderful safe, enjoyable experience! Congrats Roadhouse! read more

Nice atmosphere. Drinks were good. Good service Food was bad. Crab dip was cold. Barely any crab, it was just firm cream cheese. Ordered dessert, brownie with vanilla ice cream. Dan our server was outstanding, the burger was great and the bacon wonderful. It was a great experience for my birthday. Highly recommend.

Roadhouse is most certainly a local place with awsome beer, not just the Fordham brews. Locals keep coming back, the place must be worth the visit. Beer Club has a great selection of beers from around the world. Opinion: Best Beer Club in the area. Staff is always awsome and friendly. No empty beer glass is left unattended. Happy Hour is one of the best in the area, complimentary Happy Hour snacks too. Been trying to get Happy Hour on the weekends as well, or at least during the live televised sports events. Go O's. Daily specials and menu choices are very good. The stars are due to awsome service and very good food..... Almost forgot, damn good beer makes me forget stuff. Come for the mixed drinks, bar staff is very creative and generous. read more

So I'm here for the Raven Miami game and I'm loving this place. My server sam is amazing and has been helping me chose all the right deals like a bucket of 12oz beers for $10 and huge cheese burgers with chips for $6. Yeah you cant go wrong with their specials. Another thing that I like is how many TVs they have from every seat at our table everyone can see the Ravens games and at least one or two other games going on. The atmosphere is great and family friendly. It's come a long way from the biker bar it used to be they won't even let me use my vape pen in here. So as I said it is very family friendly. Other things worth mentioning is it is great parking write-off generals highway. And the place is very clean. I'll definitely be returning to Rams Head Road House very soon read more

Dropped in for lunch for Father's Day 2018. My youngest son got the Dynamite burger which was good. Two of us wanted the Man Overboard but they were out of gravy, so we couldn't get it. So four of us ordered the Breakfast Skillet. Aside from it being tasteless, it was about a half portion, not nearly enough to satisfy any of us. The amount of Italian Sausage was almost non-existent and even the mixed in home fries were meager, and that's a cheap plate filler. We left disappointed and hungry. This place is probably fine for burgers, especially $5 burger night, but I would not recommend the brunch items. read more

To start off they have a limit menu, they were out of the first 2 choices I had at 630 on a Saturday. Pretty sad ended up going with "special" taco salad, there was zero special about it. Chicken was decent but they sure do skimp on that as well as the corn salsa was like playing hide and seek to find it and barley a drizzle of sour cream. Really just a taco shell with red lettuce which isn't for taco salads. read more

I really like the crab dip here. I haven't ever gotten anything that was horrible. Their fries are really good too, kinda like boardwalk style fries. They serve them with vinegar and ketchup, as they should. I went here with a large group, the waitress we had was very attentive, but the food seemed to come out at weird times... Idk if it was because we ordered at different times or what but noboby was ever eating at the same time, which really didn't bother us because we weren't there to eat, just to hang out. I got the mai-tai's it's not on the menu, the cost was 5.50, came with a lot of ice, so much lime flavor and not a lot of alcohol. It was good aside from the lime overload. I just wish there was more alcohol in it for such a small glass and the price. Overall, I like this place. I do have to mention that the girls bathroom has a window in it, with no curtain. that is inside the stalls. There are only two stalls and the window straddles both. I kept looking back to make sure nobody was peeping, but maybe im just a little paranoid, it seemed like an odd place to have an open window. read more

Ram's Head Roadhouse is an actual roadhouse - I love it when the label fits the reality. But this is a nicely put together roadhouse and it is a good choice for a casual dinner or drink. The interior surprised me: bigger, cleaner and brighter than I had imagined when driving by. There are plentiful televisions for watching sports and the service is friendly. The fried pickles were very good - just enough batter and salty pickle slices (the way they should be). The burger was cooked to my order and the french fries were perfect. To top it off, the Roadhouse sponsors a beer club where, upon completion, you get $2.50 drafts for life. read more

Take it how you want, but this is a true reflection of the culinary culture of Annapolis. Fried served with a side of lukewarm beer. Sorry (not sorry), but their motto "Food, Fun, Beer" is not an accurate description of the overall vibe. Though the food here is better than the Rams Head in downtown Annapolis, it's really not much better. The rockfish bites were flavorless, the salads and sandwiches were forgettable, and the fish and chips were all greasy and floppy. Sad, really. The worst part is the lukewarm beer, both draft and bottled. I won't totally slam this place...the location is very convenient for Crownsville locals and Annapolitans alike. It's located right on Generals Highway. And they even have pretty good entertainment/specials sometimes. If you're not really a foodie and just want a decent place to grab "okay food", you found it! read more

I come here often and the food is pretty good most of the time. The service is hit or miss depending on when you come. I ordered a crab cake the other day and it was horrible. Way too much filler especially for the price they charge. I've had better Maryland style crab cakes for $10. If this is the best crab cake you can come up with this close to Annapolis why not just take it off the menu and stick with the burgers! read more

We love this place!!! Large variety of food, and a few appetizers will fill you up. Prices are reasonable to low for their location on West Street, Annapolis. Service was very good, they want to please the customer. Many different kinds of beer available, and they brew their own on site. You can even get a table near the vats, in the bar area. In good weather you can sit outside out back dine under the sky. NOTE: The above review is for the Rams Head on West Street. I have not yet visited the Rams Head Roadhouse location on General's Highway, though I have noticed its parking lot is usually filled, indicating it is probably also a good place to go. Most importantly, you can not get bad food at this place. The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists. Adjacent to the restaurant is the Rams Head dinner theater with live dinner shows. You can't go wrong with Rams Head; it is one of our favorites, and my wife is hard to please. read more
