John has been great going to for several years now! We just had to get a battery for our car and got nothing but crappy service and wasted time from Walmart and to also be told they didn't even have the battery. Called John and he could've had us in that moment. We opted to go the next day when he opened and next thing we know, the car was done and ready to go! Great service from John, he's never steered us wrong and always keeps it honest with us. That's why we keep coming back! If you haven't been for a lot of your car needs, you should definitely consider it. Thanks John! read more

Absolutely love Ramirez Quality Service! John is the best Mechanic in town and is honest and does quality work! I've had him do tires, brakes, oil changes, and a number of other things and he is always quick and fair. Great value and some of the best prices in town. Check him out if you need tires, he had better pricing than Costco, Walmart and definitely better than the tire guys. Give him a shot if you need any work done read more

Service was terrible. I would give ZERO STARS IF I COULD. Felt extremely unsafe as a woman in this shop. Would never go back nor recommend for any of my friends. I was very uncomfortable with the way the worker was speaking and looking at me, left feeling disgusted read more

Mechanic is not honest, was over priced for diagnostic test and didn't give me the codes for repair, and when I asked about it , John hung up on me twice, $200 for diagnostic test and an extra $850 to continue diagnostics. I did a visual inspection and found a broken hose. I got a second opinion and was told that John was trying to get more money from me. I would not take my car there again. Or recommend anyone else to NOT take your car there, not unless you want to waste Your money shop doesn't even deserve 1 star rating read more

Excellent service. Got my smog test, air filter change, and oil change done all in one visit. John took my car back quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. Waiting room is clean. I will come here again. read more

Recently needed to purchase some tires for me and my son so I went back to John to see what he could do for us. He got us a great deal on 2 sets of tires and got them all mounted and balanced for us! Always appreciate the service and prices here. We will be back again for any future needs. Thanks John! read more

I had an issue with a headlight out, I wanted to fix it myself, but I needed a second opinion because the bulb housing was old and cheap plastic. John took a look and found things were ok, just a simple bulb change and things are good, no issues since. read more

My brakes were smoking pretty bad coming down off Generals Hwy on my family's trip to Sequoia and we were very lucky that this garage had time to inspect my brakes and make suggestions. Juan was an honest guy and told me my brakes were ok enough to get home but also gave me the option to have them replaced as well and that honesty earned him my trust. I opted to have some of the work done he suggested and he prioritized the work on my car knowing we were still traveling thru. He was quick with the work and his garage had a very nice waiting room, and was also close to some local places to eat should you need to wait longer than a couple of hours. I suggest this business to anyone who is local in Visalia and anyone passing thru like we were. read more

Absolutely horrible service, treated my family with horrible service while they were paying and bad explanation when we wanted answers, he could've explain the service we asked for but in return we were lied to and didn't complete the whole service and and made us pay a lot of money for a service we didn't even get and we just wanted to talk about what's the problem instead just didn't really care I'm never coming here again honestly horrible. they steal from you I'm being so honest read more

Do not go there and absolutely never advise anyone else to go to RAMIREZ QUALITY SERVICE. I took my truck for ac repair and a noisy belt pulley. John said the cost would be $800 and he would be done within 2 hours?? When I returned John and needlessly replaced my high power alternator with a cheaper one and filled the AC reservoir with Freon. The AC compressor wasn't even working, and the pulley bearing was louder than ever. I took the truck to another shop and they replaced the pulley for $150! When I posted a bad Google review, JOHN RAMIREZ began texting threats from his business phone at 10pm and again at 3:30 am. Police report 25070437. He's a unstable person... be warned. Take your business elsewhere. He really scared my family read more

Have you ever tried to save a buck & do your own brakes? My car has been squeeking since. Thank you John for taking a look at my car, and explaining the process & for excellent customer service read more

These people are crooks. I've never had such a terrible experience at an auto shop in my entire life. They charged me an extra $250 storage fee because I was unable to pick up my vehicle within 1 hour of completion. Here's my story. (Pics included) I dropped off my Ford Escape to get diagnosed for a possible hybrid battery failure. They called me at 5pm on Friday to let me know that I will be needing a new regular battery as well and that it would be $200 before they could do any further diagnostics. I informed them that my battery was less than a year old and that I could just go swap it out for a new one for free at O'Reilly. They told me that this was unacceptable and that I would HAVE to buy their battery. I understand that some shops don't let you bring your own parts so I was just going to pay the diagnostic fee and be on my way. My point of contact, John, seemed very upset about my decision. By this time it was 6PM and they closed at 7PM. I told them I wouldn't be able to make it in by 7pm because of the short notice but that I would be able to swing by in the morning. They informed me that they are closed Sat, Sun & Mon but that they will re-open on Tuesday. So basically, if I don't get there within an hour, I'll have to leave it until Tuesday. This wasn't a problem until I got there on Tuesday and they tacked on a $250 storage fee that they refused to remove. They wouldn't even let me talk to a manager....nothing. They would not release the vehicle to me unless in full. In a nutshell, my service was completed at 6PM on Friday and because I did not pick it up by 7pm (1 hour) I was charged an extra $250. On top of all this, I paid to get towed in & out. Miserable. John informed me that this is standard practice and that they do it all the time, which makes me wonder how many people like myself have been hit with fraudulent storage fees by this mechanic shop. I will be filing a civil suit and most importantly an investigation to see how many others have been affected by this malpractice. Beware of Ramirez Quality Services. read more

I bought a vehicle that needed a second key fob. I bought the fob directly from Toyota and brought it to John at Ramirez for programming due to the fact that Toyota said I would have to wait 2-3 hours. It was going to cost $30 more with Ramirez, but I would save time so I thought it would be worth it. True to his word, it only took John an hour and 15 minutes (he was working on other vehicles at the time) to program the fob. The fob opened the doors, trunk, etc. so I didn't think much of it. I drove the car home using the original fob that was provided when I purchased the car. The next morning my wife went to drive the car using the new fob and it would start and run for thirty seconds and then shut off. I tried it several times and it wouldn't work. I tried my original fob and it worked fine. I called John and he said he didn't know what to tell me, it worked fine on the trunk, doors, and security light. He hadn't tried to start the car. I asked him if he could try to reprogram the fob and he said yes but he would have to charge me another $229.00 to do it. IHe said the only thing it could be is a defective key fob. That didn't seem very likely to me. I asked him for a refund, but he said no because I had signed one of his disclaimers saying if for some reason the programming didn't work, they aren't liable. I ended up taking the same fob he said was defective to Toyota of Visalia. They programmed it in 1 hour and twenty minutes for $30.00 less than Ramirez and it works perfectly! They said if they were me, they would go back and the money back. I tried to work with John, but to no avail. I would be very cautious if using this business! I was never given any explanation as to why the "defective key fob" was able to be programmed successfully by Toyota. When I told John about his possible programming protocol errors, all he could say was "Oh". The reason it took a little over a week to contact John about the problem was a previously arranged vacation that we took. As was mentioned earlier, no explanation as to why the same fob works perfectly. read more

I took my RAV4 in for a brake check with John Ramirez because it was coming up for the 50K mile mark. I know that we are all squeezed with the cost of living today and any extra expenses are hard to deal with but I also know I have to keep my car in good shape for as long as I can. So instead of going to the dealership, I went to John. This way I get to talk directly to the mechanic. I believe John is an honest man. He could have told me that since the pads showed wear, that I should have a costly brake job done. But he showed me the brake fluid was mid-mark and showed me the pads and suggested I wait another 10K miles. That tells me he gave me an honest and fair assessment and I recommend him due to this honest experience. read more

I just called this morning for a smog test and wheel alignment, John answered the phone and told me if I could be there a 2.30pm he could help me out When I arrived I didn't have to wait 1 minute to get a friendly welcome. I waited in the waiting room, which is nice and clean with nice seats and couches and coffee if you want. After about 1/2 hour John came back and my car was ready to go. I would definitely recommend John Ramirez to all my friends. Friendly and quick service that's all you need for customers to com back! read more

I have taken many vehicles to John in the past. Some with more serious issues than others. Every single time the vehicles leave his shop, they once again ride like new! My family has been repeat customers since he first started many many years ago. I recently had a new fuel pump put in my truck. The attention to detail, cleanliness of the shop, as well as his work is what i look for when theres work to be done that i dont have the knowledge to do myself. Done alot faster than the given estimated time frame. Save yourself the hassel from other places. Take your repairs here!!! You will not be disappointed. John is amazing! In today's culture when it's hard to find a good, reliable and honest mechanic it's great to know that John is located right in Visalia! In my 28 years on this Earth I have driven quite a number of cars just because of how much I drive for my jobs and schooling, I have gone to multiple mechanics but never will I again go to another but John. He has never once tried to overcharge me. When he has to order a part he'll call multiple places to try to get it in the same day. He has never tried to have me buy anything more than what I need to have fixed. He is thorough in his research and knows all makes and models of cars. Don't go to anyone else! read more

Been taking our vehicles to John for several years and have been absolutely pleased with his professional service and friendly atmosphere.

I met Juan Ramirez in early Dec. 2017. I had broken down in a strange place called Visalia, CA. Mr. Ramirez picked me up and offered his Shop to help. Because I was from out of town I was unsure of Ramirez Quality Services reputation. My wife researched and found Ramirez Quality Services to be reputable (4.5 stars). I had the repairs completed at Ramirez Quality Services. Juan delivered as he promised. After leaving Juan's shop I traveled some 300 miles home with absolutely no problem. I wish Ramirez Quality Services was located in my home town of Logandale, NV. I would trust him every time! Ronnie J. read more
