I can't say enough good things about these guys! I brought my truck in after constantly having problems with my front differential. Every time I'd take it out to the dunes and drive through the sand to get my camper where I wanted it, the front differential would end up cracking or failing. Brett and Kev took the time to diagnose the real issue and came up with a permanent solution. They fabricated a custom bracket to reinforce the front differential, making it much stronger, and also re-geared both the front and rear differentials. I was honestly a little hesitant at first because I'd had so many failures in the past, but after taking it back out to the dunes and putting it through some hard driving in the sand, it performed flawlessly. The difference is incredible. My truck feels stronger, more capable, and gives me the confidence to drive it the way I always wanted to. If you're looking for knowledgeable people who stand behind their work and build things the right way, I highly recommend Brett and Kev at Big Boyz. Thanks again, guys you turned my truck into a beast! read more

Very happy with the service and one of the most down to earth guys I've ever experienced at an auto shop! This is the place to go for your automotive service! read more

I recently had my 2023 Tacoma lifted at this custom shop, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the start, they took the time to really consult with me about how I use my truck and helped guide me toward the right equipment for my setup. That level of attention made a huge difference. Bret, Kevin, and Brenda were all fantastic -- super personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was done right. They went to great lengths to keep me informed throughout the entire process, which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. I visited a few other shops before making my decision, and none of them came close to the professionalism, communication, and overall service this team provided. The lift turned out exactly how I envisioned, and the truck looks and drives amazing. The post services they include the work they do is above and beyond! If you're looking for a shop that truly cares about their customers and takes pride in their work, this is the place. I'm beyond happy with every service they provided and would absolutely recommend them. read more

Honest, friendly, professional, knowledgable, and prompt. I had this issue looked at several times before by another mechanic without resolution but the staff at Big Boyz came up with the diagnosis and preferred solution. read more

Helped my dad with a nail in the tire. No charge. Quick and kind people. Will be going back! Highly recommend!

Don't waste your time. I brought my truck in for rear end noise. The counter guy told me my differential carrier was cracked. He pointed out what he said was a crack but it was a normal casting mark from the seams in the casting molds. Against better judgment I had them do a rebuild which ended up noisier than when I brought it in. Several trips back for adjustments and it only got worse. Should have spent the money at the dealership. read more

Big Boyz Garage came through for me in the clutch! I pull a 43' 5th wheel and absolutely shredded my tires attempting to scale a gravel hill. Brett and Big Boyz were able to offer same day service - replace my tires, and get me back on the road for the next leg of my journey. Highly recommend! read more

After a terrible experience with the service department at the Mercedes Benz Dealership in Bakersfield, I went on Yelp to find a local mechanic. I submitted a request for the repairs I needed and immediately received a response from Big Boyz Garage. They asked questions to fully understand what was happening with our car and they were able to get me in right away. From the time I dropped the car off with them, they were able to order the necessary parts and have it fully repaired in less than 24 hours. From the first message I received from them, they provided the best customer service, super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Big Boyz Garage will be the only place we go for all of our car repairs and needs. Highly recommended! read more

If I could leave a minus review I would. Had major work done on my vehicle. 300 miles later out of town the repairs imploded. Notified Big Boyz of the problem and was told they would pay for the repairs. Was very apologetic until they saw the bill. Had to go to small claims. Still waiting for the results. I wouldn't trust them to put air in my tires! read more

I needed the alternator changed on my 2003 F-150. I'm disabled & on extremely limited income so it took awhile to build up the funds to fix her. Big Boys were quick to get me in and faster than I expected to git'er done, including the required smog check for registration. The cost was in the middle range of all the quotes I got from Yelp, but the alternator has a lifetime warranty. Between the speed of repairs, the warranty, the courteous customer service and those adorable frenchies, it was worth every penny. Thanks, guys!! read more

Thank you again for the excellent service and repair! I really appreciate the level of detail on my issue and hope that this will not happen again for a really long time. Thank you! read more

We bought a 1999 Jeep Wrangler a few months ago and started noticing some gut wrenching sounds happening while driving it. After asking others and doing research we decided to take The Beast into Big Boyz Garage. We are so glad we did! After putting her on the rack Kevin took the time to explain what was going on. As a woman, I really appreciate Kevin for taking the time and to not talk down to us. Brenda kindly kept us informed of the work being done on The Beast; it was great being kept in the loop. Small family owned business with top notch, honest professionals. You can't go wrong bringing your business here. read more

I hired Kevin at BigBoyz to rewire my 1973 Plymouth. I found out he sent it to another shoo in Exeter to do this. Ask questions, because Kevin will upcharge you and subcontract the work to another shop or a mechanic that works out of his house. Also watch your bill, I was overcharged $2900 on my credit card you can read on his Better business bureau reviews. Now I have a car I have had to send to 2 other shops to fix what I thought I was paying Bigboyz to fix. I will NEVER use or recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Big Boyz Garage - These are my wheels they unmounted for me - Tires Near Me - Visalia, California

Well where do I start with this review? We needed to find a mechanic for our Toyota Corolla. Thanks for positive reviews I got in contact with Big Boyz and we have found our new mechanic. Let me say that this is my wife's car with me just doing the leg work to find someone but honestly just not anyone. After talking to the owner I was so relieved for my sake knowing that my wife would be happy with the results. Our last mechanic told us that we needed to buy a Toyota even though he didn't work on them. Turns out that they are on the same lot and know each other. Thanks Yelp for everything and I hope that this will help others out there. read more

I am very particular and they were very quick with a great quote on wheels for my Mustang. I highly recommend these knowledgeable folks!!

My go to guys for anything tire, lifts, wheels etc. Kevin even brought my Jeep to my house after a service. Profesional guys with integrity.

These guys are amazing. I took my truck in for a repair because the check engine light was on. Not only were they the best price in town but they were extremely friendly polite and explained everything in detail. They found something that the Nissan dealer had put it out as a recommendation that might need to be done advised me to take it to the dealership because it might be for free since they have a bulletin put out on it.they said I should start there. Then he didn't charge for the information and inspection of my truck. Having some work done on Monday. These guys are amazing TEN star!!! read more

I had initially posted a negative review due to frequent miscommunications and a lack of customer care on the part of the owner of the business "Kevin". He had let me know that extenuating circumstances in his private life as well as with his business had caused the issues we had throughout the lengthy repair process, and to make up for it ate the couple hundred dollars out of pocket that remained after billing my warranty company, after this I had changed my review to a glowing one...however...after returning home with my jeep and it sitting for awhile I finally went to check it out for a winter trip I have coming up and his "mechanic" has failed miserably...The negligence is so bad that I refuse to take it back there to have them rectify the situation...I'd rather fix it myself at this point, I have given big boys garage enough chances to prove to me they are worth the wait and cost but have proven consistently they are not. I have taken videos of the things they failed to properly install/etc, however Yelp only allows photos. Quick list: failed to properly apply loctite and torque steering stabilizer (frame mount side) nut/bolt (due to this the flag nut was lost somewhere along the road), failed to apply loctite and properly secure tierod jam nut(s) this is an issue because now the alignment can't be relied upon with the jam nuts not tightened...these are just a couple of the issues, they were also supposed to check coolant system function and told me it was working fine...as I checked the condition of my coolant I noticed that the reservoir is completely dry....highly doubt they even checked it. read more

I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE! Very friendly! Very attentive of the things you need done. I am always a returning customer bc they're that awesome! I come back for maintenance whether it's a tire rotation, quick oil change. Anything! Kevin & Brenda are so helpful to my very little knowledge i have for cars! Quick service! a very toxic environment as soon as we pulled in with a flat tire. this was our first time going and unsure we sorta just pulled in looking for help. when we asked for help we were ignored and then approached by this old man who approached up rudely saying, " you know you don't just pull in here right?" and the kept ignoring us as we were just looking for help and kept proceeding to tell us to move our car. we were trying to tell him we were moving it we weren't even out of the car yet. then as we pull out he doesn't even tell us where we can park and goes back to ignoring us. eager to leave my boyfriend insisted on staying due to it being something we needed done. by this time it's 8:30 they said it would start at 9, even said so on the paper. we come back by 9:20 giving them time, keep in mind all we needed was our tire patched up. when we arrived we were notified they hadn't even started on the car. we had someone to be within an hour so we decided it was best to find somewhere else where like Pacific tires where i've received fast and great care. as we decide to drive away the man cut my boyfriend off and waved him into the shop. after that the process took about another 25 minutes because he kept going to do other things rather than finishing what he started. my first experience and will be my last. don't come here unless you have time to kill and are ok with people walking over you. read more
