I can't say enough good things about these guys! I brought my truck in after constantly having problems with my front differential. Every time I'd take it out to the dunes and drive through the sand to get my camper where I wanted it, the front differential would end up cracking or failing. Brett and Kev took the time to diagnose the real issue and came up with a permanent solution. They fabricated a custom bracket to reinforce the front differential, making it much stronger, and also re-geared both the front and rear differentials. I was honestly a little hesitant at first because I'd had so many failures in the past, but after taking it back out to the dunes and putting it through some hard driving in the sand, it performed flawlessly. The difference is incredible. My truck feels stronger, more capable, and gives me the confidence to drive it the way I always wanted to. He pointed out what he said was a crack but it was a normal casting mark from the seams in the casting molds. Against better judgment I had them do a rebuild which ended up noisier than when I brought it in. Several trips back for adjustments and it only got worse. I needed the alternator changed on my 2003 F-150. I'm disabled & on extremely limited income so it took awhile to build up the funds to fix her. Big Boys were quick to get me in and faster than I expected to git'er done, including the required smog check for registration. The cost was in the middle range of all the quotes I got from Yelp, but the alternator has a lifetime warranty. They found something that the Nissan dealer had put it out as a recommendation that might need to be done advised me to take it to the dealership because it might be for free since they have a bulletin put out on it.they said I should start there. I had initially posted a negative review due to frequent miscommunications and a lack of customer care on the part of the owner of the business "Kevin". He had let me know that extenuating circumstances in his private life as well as with his business had caused the issues we had throughout the lengthy repair process, and to make up for it ate the couple hundred dollars out of pocket that remained after billing my warranty company, after this I had changed my review to a glowing one...however...after returning home with my jeep and it sitting for awhile I finally went to check it out for a winter trip I have coming up and his "mechanic" has failed miserably...The negligence is so bad that I refuse to take it back there to have them rectify the situation...I'd rather fix it myself at this point, I have given big boys garage enough chances to prove to me they are worth the wait and cost but have proven consistently they are not. I have taken videos of the things they failed to properly install/etc, however Yelp only allows photos. Quick list: failed to properly apply loctite and torque steering stabilizer (frame mount side) nut/bolt (due to this the flag nut was lost somewhere along the road), failed to apply loctite and properly secure tierod jam nut(s) this is an issue because now the alignment can't be relied upon with the jam nuts not tightened...these are just a couple of the issues, they were also supposed to check coolant system function and told me it was working fine...as I checked the condition of my coolant I noticed that the reservoir is completely dry....highly doubt they even checked it. read more

a very toxic environment as soon as we pulled in with a flat tire. this was our first time going and unsure we sorta just pulled in looking for help. when we asked for help we were ignored and then approached by this old man who approached up rudely saying, " you know you don't just pull in here right?" and the kept ignoring us as we were just looking for help and kept proceeding to tell us to move our car. we were trying to tell him we were moving it we weren't even out of the car yet. then as we pull out he doesn't even tell us where we can park and goes back to ignoring us. eager to leave my boyfriend insisted on staying due to it being something we needed done. by this time it's 8:30 they said it would start at 9, even said so on the paper. we come back by 9:20 giving them time, keep in mind all we needed was our tire patched up. when we arrived we were notified they hadn't even started on the car. we had someone to be within an hour so we decided it was best to find somewhere else where like Pacific tires where i've received fast and great care. as we decide to drive away the man cut my boyfriend off and waved him into the shop. after that the process took about another 25 minutes because he kept going to do other things rather than finishing what he started. my first experience and will be my last. don't come here unless you have time to kill and are ok with people walking over you. read more
