Where to start?!? How about the beginning?…read more I purchased a 1968 Pontiac GTO about 3 months ago and was looking to bring it somewhere to have a lot of different things done. I didn't really know exactly what I wanted to do as there are a lot of different directions one can go when finishing a classic car. After calling around to various shops and being told it would be months before they could do any work for me I found Mark at Tailored Customs. Firstly, not only was he excited for me and my newly acquired GTO, he was extremely helpful in helping me decide what upgrades would be within my budget and make the biggest impact on the build. Probably 10 hours. What's that? That's my estimate of the time he spent with me on the phone and over text messages before the work even began! Total charge? $0. Not only did he help me make the best decisions regarding what upgrades to do, he rolled with the punches when I changed my mind (multiple times) and still hadn't charged me a dime. I know many people that are reading this review might think to themselves "that's just part of doing this type of business" and to a certain degree it is. Not to this degree though. Trust me I've done the research and automotive advice isn't free. Having someone you can call when you have questions is a billable service that I was lucky enough to get for free. All of that was before the work even started which as many can attest starts with ordering parts. Not only did Mark handle ordering everything for me (again I understand that's a part of doing this type of business) but he didn't just find the easiest way to order things by buying kits to install everything (which is perfectly reasonable and typical). He found the most cost effective way to purchase all the parts even though that took extra time and effort on his part. There were a few parts I had already ordered myself and he took that in stride as well even though most shops want to order everything themselves (likely to charge you a mark up on the parts) but not Mark. He accepted the parts I already had and even helped me return some when I changed my mind about things (again) Once all the parts were in the work could begin and the communication from Mark was constant, professional and informative every step of the way. This guy even came in to make sure all was going well on my car just 2 days after having a surgery that was supposed to sideline him for weeks. What can I say, the guy is committed. At the end of the day we decided to install these major items and a ton of little things too numerous to mention, a new Dakota Digital guage set, tilt steering column, back up camera, transmission cooler (this is one of those added things that Mark just figured out in the fly for me), distributor (added later) and many other things. Probably 25-30 hours. What's that? My estimate of how many hours above and beyond Mark spent with me making sure I understood everything that was being done, why it was being done and discussing alternatives. That's not "normal" in my experience. That's above and beyond the call of duty and way more than I actually paid for. I'm not writing this because I expect Mark to do a bunch of things for free for me or anyone else. It's simply to illustrate the level of commitment Mark and the team at Tailored Customs shows when taking on small projects like mine and large projects like the ones I could see in progress every time I visited the shop to check in on progress and discuss things with the team. If you are looking to start a brand new build or finish a partially completed one, Mark and the team at Tailored Customs are definitely the ones to bring your highly prized classic car to in my opinion. They will treat your car like their own car and make sure you leave the shop satisfied and excited to get your classic car back on the road for years to come.

They have very reasonable rates especially for the quality of work they churn out. The owner is awesome and will do anything to keep his customers satisfied or on the road. The selfless service that they offer is so important to them that they opened their shop doors on EASTER afternoon the make sure that they got some folks SAFELY back on the road. Name another shop that will do that. . .I'll wait!!! I think that type of service speaks volumes to the dedication that is pricier with Tailored Customs. From motorcycles, trucks, cars and even BOAT TRAILERS; these folks will do it all. Please consider them if you're anywhere near their shop. I guarantee that you will be satisfied and taken care of.

Gave me an estimated day on when I would receive the car, and called to tell me they burnt through the hood buffing it, so it would be a couple days longer.... Finally got the car back and immediately retuned for scratches everywhere. A couple months go along and I finally get to my first service appt at my dealership and the front left control arm (where damage were "repaired") literally falls out. Cotter pin was missing from the ball joint. The dealership says that if I would've hit a speed bump high enough, my control arm would have fell out on the road..... ABOVE AND BEYOND CLAIMED FIX AUTO "repaired".... Not even a year later...my front bumper is sagging because the bumper was GLUED. Fix auto claims to have never touched the car since they've have no record of it, it was ABOVE AND BEYOND who did not want to take credit for their terrible work!!! 0/10 if I could.

First off I would have never choose them but this was a AAA tow. Set up about 10 ish am. Or so…read more First expected arrival was at 11:30. After requesting almost 6 updates. Finally cancels the tow at 4pm. They would not respond to my texts. I don't know if it's automated or what. But the shop I was trying to tow it to was not taking cars anymore that late. I was told we could try again the next day. I called this shop to verify the name as to not leave this on the wrong shop and all he said was you the guy for the tow. I told him I canceled it and my reasoning for calling and he just said ok and hung up. Or stopped talking. Either way they were done with me. After reading other reviews. I'm not alone. Thank god my kid or wife wasn't on the side of the freeway. This shop is a joke. See picture of text. It's timed stamped of then they got the request and when I finally started trying to get someone on the phone.
