After a vehicle break-in, Safelite scheduled a repair for a power window within 3 days, but cancelled that appointment due to a backordered part. Promising they would order, reschedule and communicate with me regularly, I later found out they waited 9 days to actually order the power window. Neither corporate or the local shop communicated with me via e-mail or text, I had to show up in person at the local shop to follow-up many times. Finally the window arrived, and was installed 29 days after the initial call. I had a scheduled appointment with Safelite on January 24th from 1:00-5:00 PM. I made this appointment several days in advance and blocked off my schedule specifically to be available for this repair. When I called customer service to get an ETA, I was told the technician had already tried calling me twice and therefore would not be coming. After checking my phone, I noticed the calls had gone to my spam folder. Like most people, I receive countless spam calls every day. If the technician had left a voicemail or sent a text message, I would have known the call was important and responded immediately. Neither was done. What made this situation even more upsetting was the response I received. Both the customer service representative and the technician stated, "This is not my company and therefore I'm not losing any money." That comment was extremely unprofessional and showed a complete lack of concern for the customer's time, schedule, and inconvenience. I explained that a simple voicemail or text could have prevented this entire issue, but there was no understanding or willingness to work with me. They refused to send a technician out. Taking time off, planning ahead, and rearranging my schedule meant nothing to them. This experience showed poor communication, lack of accountability, and very disappointing customer service. So the three star doesn't surprise me . i'm surprised it's that high .Not only did they fail to properly address my concerns, but their follow-up was non-existent. Had a large crack damage to my windshield, after taking my car to the Visalia shop, to repair a small chip. My insurance contacted them to discuss a resolution. Insurance was told that Safelite would call me back. They did not call back. I do not feel that this shop does professional work. I do not recommend taking your car here for work on your windshield. I will now have to replace my entire windshield because of the damage they caused. I won't use this shop again. read more

At first I thought they did a good job, it was easy to make an appointment, the windshield replacement was quick, I was in and out in under an hour. Then two days later the Rain sensor attached to the windshield fell off. I went back under there warranty to get it fix and they reattached the sensor, saying "this happens sometimes". Well the very next day the Rain sensor fell off the windshield again. WTF!!! Don't even try and call there phone number, all you get is an AI bot that gives you the run around and then tells you to do everything though their wed site. read more

There is no extra charge for them to come to you. The day of my appointment arrived and it was raining. I offered my garage for protection from the elements but the technician needs at least five feet clearance all the way around. Made another appointment the very next week. Technician texted the timeframe of availability. Luckily his previous appt flaked out and he showed up earlier than expected. Work was outstanding. I rescheduled the appointment for two days later, a guy finally showed up he spent about 30 minutes of his 40-minute visit on a call telling his supervisor why he couldn't replace the windshield. He declined to complete the job due to visible rust a total waste of time with this company. The next day, I called CHAD's AUTOGLASS. They came out and replaced the glass in less than 30 min. I asked if there were any problems or concerns due to rust, and they said no, the rust is minimal, and there is no problem with replacing it. Well after about 6 broken promises to contact me through yelp and facebook after a year of trying to get my windshield fixed by safelite I broke down and took it to the dealer. After a few hours they called me extremely confused that my windshield had been installed improperly. They didn't even charge me to fix it. This is in stark contrast to the one time I was able to talk to a safelite representative in the course of a year where the answer was it was my problem. Do a google search since Covid hit safelite did away with their customer service department. They do not stand behind their work at all. Please I beg you, save yourself the headaches and go anywhere but here. It's not just a dishonest manager in Visalia the whole company has dropped the ball and does not stand behind their work. All this drama because they didnt install the passenger side frame correctly. Took the dealer about an hour to diag and fix. I'll list bullet points and post the whole story below - Took Jeep into Safelite to fix a small crack in windshield. - We took the Jeep into Safelite 3 times because of a whistling noise that was present each time we picked the jeep up. They were never able to replace our windshield without the whistling noise - After taking it to Safelite the 2nd time, the wiper motor was making a very loud grinding noise. They are the only ones to mess with the wipers and it was not making this noise before we brought it to them. They told us that's our problem and now fixing it is coming out of our pockets. - We still haven't received our refund for the windshield even after speaking to the manager Alex Perez several times. It's been 3 months since they said they'd refund us, no refund as of June 2nd. - DO NOT USE SAFELITE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE We brought our Jeep in to Safelite in December 2023 for a small crack in the windshield. When we received the Jeep back, there was a whistling noise in the windshield. Told the manager, Alex Perez about the issue, he said to bring it back and they'll fix it. Okay, no problem. When we picked up the jeep the second time, the same whistling noise was present. This time, however, our wiper motor was making a very loud grinding noise. We told Alex again, and he said "there's nothing we do to the wipers that would make it make that noise". The wiper motor did not make this noise before we took it to Safelite. It had to be them. They tried fixing the whistling noise again, but were unsuccessful. They told us to take it to the dealership and have them give us written proof that they were responsible for the wiper motor. Obviously there's no way to prove they did anything to the wiper motor because there were no witnesses to how they attempted to change the windshield THREE TIMES. We took it to the dealership who fixed the window whistling without issue. Now fixing the wiper motor is coming out of our pocket. We've been waiting for our refund for the windshield since MARCH 19th. I've been in to speak to Alex and he said we would be receiving the refund in the mail. It is June 2nd and we still haven't received the refund. I will NEVER use Safelite again and want to make sure I do whatever I can to warn potential customers about these crooks. read more

Took my tesla in to fix windshield. Windshield was replaced and was fine but i was informed that the technician ripped the interior of my car on the roof near the windshield. I was told it would be fixed free of charge obviously. I said its ok stuff happens and to call me to set up when i can bring it in for them to replace it. Waited about a month and never heard anything. I called them and was told i would be receiving a call within 24-48 hours to set up a appointment to get it fixed. Again never heard anything. I repeated this exact same thing calling them and being told i would be called in 24-48 hours TWO more times. Throughout the last THREE months without ever hearing absolutely anything from them. When I call now i cant even get in contact with anybody and am told to try again another time. Worst communication and scheduling I've ever dealt with! Our vehicle was scheduled for glass replacement between 8 to 12 AM. I didn't get a call advising me there was an issue with insurance verification until 11 AM. I immediately got on the phone with my insurance who at that point advised me they had fixed everything and appointment time was changed with service provider to between 12 and 5 PM. At this point I have been home all day so at 2:30 PM I contact Safelite to make sure I am still on schedule for them to come by today at which point they tell me there is no appointment scheduled. They cannot tell me or explain how my appointment got off of schedule, but could tell me they saw the appointment on the schedule for the morning and not associated with me. Contact appointment without my knowledge, but they could not tell me who these people were. Nothing made any sense and the gentleman clearly did not know what he was doing. How someone else has access to their system to change or adjust appointments without their knowledge is completely beyond me! Crazy! read more

I scheduled my service via Schedule Appointment option directly from the Yelp app. I received my quote and scheduled an appointment within a matter of minutes. After speaking to customer service, I was able to apply my AAA discount you 10%. Tyler arrived on time and expeditiously began to repair the pea sized windshield chip. Tyler was great! I hung out and chatted with him while he worked and my windshield was done within minutes. He even cleaned the rest of my windows. So my windshield got chipped a few months ago and I knew that due to the pandemic there are shortages. I understand that 100% and I know that mistakes are made but let me explain how my multiple visits went down. It was hard to review this place because it's a mix of both the Safelite location in Visalia and dealing with Safelite themselves. So they said the windshield will be ordered. I got a call saying we got it come in. Made the appointment and went in. I thought that's amazing considering it wasn't the longer time frame they gave me. I took time off of my day to take it in. I got there and they say "I don't know why they called you...your windshield isn't scheduled to come in until December 24th. I was upset but decided to let it go and just keep waiting. The manager of this store called me and told me "I will find a way to make it right." I was curious what that meant and I have yet to see what he was talking about. The deductible can't be waived so it's obviously not that so I wasn't sure what it was. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago...they called me in saying the windshield is in. Finally! I took time off work AGAIN to go in. I parked and was met by one of the techs. He verified they got the windshield. As I'm about to walk in he says "Hold on we don't have the seal for the windshield." So I waited for them to verify and they say "Sorry whoever orders the parts forgot to order the windshield seal. We have after market but it won't be this nice of fit that you currently have." At this point it was getting old. I got upset and they just apologized and said our manager will be in contact. I have yet to hear from him. There is just no communication here whatsoever. So I finally got the call that everything was in. I came in today to get it repaired. They quoted me 3 hours. I came in around 10:25. I got a text message at 12 saying they barely started working on the car. I went and asked the lady up front if my car was really just sitting there for 1.5 hours and she said no it's just an automatic text. About 1 hour after that the car was finished. They did a good job and so far no issues. It was a hassle dealing with them and the staff wasn't rude about the situation but what else could they really do? It's an insurance claim with a $100 deductible...if you decide to come here they do good work but good luck because it's the most hassle I have ever experienced at a glass shop. read more

It took forever and they broke everything they touched and they couldn't care less. It took over a month to get my windshield replacement to be fully completed, and 4 trips to the shop. Only 5-7 days can be blamed on the supply chain or insurance, the rest are all because they canceled one appointment, and would let 3-5 days pass before calling on each and every step, and there were a lot of extra steps..... They had to remove 3 pieces of plastic to do the job. They completely broke one and had to replace it. I noticed one trim part was loose before I left and had them look at the parts again- they fiddled with it and it seemed better- gave me a big thumbs up. I left - when I hit 60mph I had a hum from loose parts. On the second inspection with only a light pull from my fingers both the trim parts came loose. I took it back on a different day and a different person told me all the clips were broken and had to be replaced on the other 2 parts they had removed. The clips are designed to break instead of the trim and it's a new model, so I can sort of handle that, but what is unacceptable is that they slapped them back on my car and were fine with me driving out with them fully loose- knowing it was a bad job. The calibration of the sensors they reset seems off too- so I have to take it to the dealer. The work was horrible and their attitudes were comically bad read more

Was asked to reschedule by the store the day of... Main boss man did not care ab my feelings or time so this rating is not for him. This rating is for the employees who work here. The front desk, and a couple of workers really took intentional care and time with me which went a long way. So I took my car to get my windshield replaced about a month and a half ago. Today I checked my oil and I notice a pile of broken clips just sitting in a corner. 2 other clips were in its place but came right off, were broken too. In total there was 6 broken clips, an entire panel had no clips and 2 other were just held on by 1 clip, I'm happy with the windshield but to not replace the clips or let me know is unprofessional. read more

Had my windshield replaced at another Safelite facility. They were unable to recalibrate the Driver assist camera behind the rearview mirror. They recommended I go to a dealer to re-calibrate, but the dealer refused to re-calibrate the camera since they did not replace the windshield. Made an appointment with this location. Initially, they did not have the tool immediately available, however the manager/owner went out of his way to another facility to get the correct tool, get my calibration completed, and me back on the road. I'm impressed by the cohesive team, the dedication of the manager/owner, and their willingness to go out of their way to make the situation right. Well done. read more

First I'd love to say my repair tech, Pablo, IS AMAZING! he was so personable, very nice and friendly and absolutely answered every question I had during the process this was my first time using Safelite and I was def not disappointed. I have auto insurance so I did file a claim. After speaking with a few reps, they let me know if it was repairable within a certain size, I would only have to pay a small fee compared to what my auto deductible would have costed me. Had an appt at 11am and arrived at exactly 11am. Installation guy was running a little behind as they were open the day after Thanksgiving and not normally open on Saturdays. He took my car in about 11:15. There is a Rainbow Drive-In Express right next to it so I just moseyed on over there to grab something to eat thinking that it would be at least a couple hours before it's done. I walked back over at noon and my car was done. They installed an original OEM windshield with the Pony Logo on my Mustang for $305! I was quoted $550 a couple years ago at a different repair shop. My windshield wasn't broken it was just pitted because of being the age that it was. $305 is a steal. I would recommend anybody bring their cars here to get their glass replaced. They'll also come to you for the same price as long as you don't live too far from their repair facility. read more

Safelite "repaired" a small chip in my window, 12 days later my windshield needed to be replaced. I spent 4 hours on the phone with safelite and they refused to take responsibility for their technician Jarrods subpar work. I then spoke to safelite customer service and was told my refund would be on its way and should be here in 3-5 business days. Today I called and asked where my refund was, to which I was told they need a receipt of my windshield replacement in order to refund my money, which was completely different than what I was told 8 days ago. The entire company up and down is an embarrassment to customer service and their communication is a chernobly level disaster. Would never use them again even in an emergency. Lower your insurance deductible to 100 dollars and just get your whe windshield replaced for less than it costs to have safelite ruin it. read more
