After being quoted $2,600 to replace the alternator on my 2010 Nissan Altima by another repair shop (after already being charged $150 for analysis), I called Del at Budget Auto Wrecking to junk the car (not going to pay that much for such an old car). Rather than just take my car, Del knew I was being ripped off and shouldn't junk my car because of an alternator. He referred me to Luis at Quality Auto. I looked everywhere online for this tiny clip that held a sensor in. I went to Budget and they asked me if I could point it out on the car. I went in the back, showed them what I needed and they pulled it right out for me. I went up from and the owner didn't even charge me!!!! He relieved a huge stress and worry that I had. A friend and I were half way down to LA (not even that far actually) from Sacramento when my check engine light went on. As I had just had the car checked out that was really annoying, and distressing. An employee at Bravo Farms recommended we swing by Budget to get the car checked out. When we got there honestly we almost drove away as it dodn't look like much but I asked a man there if they could help and he had us park and wait a bit. Another man came out with a scanner, plugged it in, and informed us it was nothing important and we could safely continue our trip and go home before I needed to worry about it. This is embarrassing but as no one mentioned a charge and I didn't think to ask it wasn't until we had left that I realized I maybe should have paid something...In any case the gentlemen there were very nice and maybe could tell I was upset and didn't want to spend all day getting something unimportant repaired as we needed to be in LA by a certain time. Anyways I saw that all this place had was one negative review and thought I should write something. If you guys see this my friend and I are really grateful for your help (and I apologize if I was supposed to pay!). By the way, the check engine light stayed on all weekend and then turned off when I dropped my friend off in Sacramento. I don't know why, but I'll still have my mechanic look at it. read more

Over 2-years ago on the recommendation of my very long term mechanic, I drove 12-miles needing a right headlight for our 2005 Lincoln Town Car. The local Ford dealer wanted just short of $1,000 plus installation charge of approximately $200. Budget had the replacement unit in 2-days and my cost was $125. Just befiore Thanksgiving the right side front passenger window actuator stopped working. The Budget mechanic looked at it and got it working. Del said if fails, I'll have a unit in 2-days installed for $100. By the way no charge for their mechanic time. So they got them a couple dozen of delicious midmorning snacks. Read a couple of negative reviews and after 40-years as a senior human resources manager for 2 international corporations, the one constant is those who rant & rave the loudest are the creation of their poor outcomes because they lack common courtesy talents / sense and probably have a new job annually. PS: This is a solution business run by a solid family. The positive indication is there is always continous foot traffic for the six times I've been to Budget. read more

I used to come here as a kid with my father so I decided to come here when my driver seat belt buckle went out. I called got a price of $40 for a buckle. I thought it was a little pricey but decided to go. I get there ask about the part and the guy walkies to the people in the back. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes and the guy walkied back probably like 3 or 4 times. All the while the managers are sitting talking to their workers about a car he was rebuilding. And talking to other customers while my part still hadn't come. There were 3-4 workers working on one task. Finally I left. read more

So I bought an evap canister from these guys. Dale the owner sold it to me with a 90 day verbal guarantee. 7 days later the part went out and I had to by another one brand new which was $200 online. When returning the guaranteed part I was told that there was no loan out programs and no refunds. This was in no way a loan out. I paid $75 for the part. Just trade in for same part. This is not a guarantee. This guy and his business are not conducting fair and legal business. If you guarantee something then stand by your word or policy. read more

Here is my truthful experience with these PIRATES: 1) BATE AND SWITCH with agreement with me. 2) FAILED TO PERFORM after 5 weeks for a tow on an additional vehicle. 3) Have not returned requested personal property MY ONLY IGNITION KEY to me after 12 weeks. THEY STILL HAVE IT! 4) VERBALLY ABUSIVE and extremely RUDE in several phone conversations...hanging-up frequently when confronted about their SELECTIVE MEMORY relative to our agreements and their failure to perform. 5) I arrived at their yard to claim tires they kept for four weeks. I informed DALE at the counter (inside the office) that this NEGATIVE RATING would be forthcoming. In return, DALE threatened to SPREAD LIES about me personally ONLINE. Finally, he stalked me to my vehicle and tried to provoke a fight by pushing me as I walked. Had to forcefully tell him to stop grinding my foot with his foot. He then held my car door open when I was behind the wheel, while he leaned against the hinge of my door to try to break the door. My parting remark? DALE; "It is hard to do business with a PRICK; YOU ARE NOT WORTH A MUTUAL ASSAULT CHARGE!!
