If you want your toyota, honda, acura, or lexus running like the fine piece of engineering that it is, then you need to take it to a specialist. Mark and his shop are the place to go. Since they work only on limited makes of cars, they know their stuff. I have found Mark to be a truly honest and personable guy and trust him fully when I take my truck to his shop. I am very grateful to the friends that sent me to him. My only concern and fear is that someday I will have to move and be away from such a great mechanic and person. I brought my car into Mark's shop for a evap system leak repair. I had already used a code reader so I knew what the problem was. I researched online and found that the repairs should be around 100$ and at the very most 200$ even if BOTH valves are leaking. Mark was not friendly but quoted me at 95$ for the repair which I thought was reasonable. FOUR days later he finished the repairs and I was charged 330$! He explained it was so much because he had to replace my gas cap with a Honda gas cap (I couldn't find a Honda gas cap online for more than 35$). I feel like I got ripped off. I noticed a pro Trump sticker in his garage and my car has a Bernie bumper sticker... coincidence? I will never go to Mark again and Im warning my friends and coworkers about Foreign Auto. I don't make a lot and have a family of four, 330$ is devastating for us. Shame on Mark. read more

We have been loyal customers at Foreign Auto Works since we bought the first Toyota Camry to arrive in Visalia in 1983. When that car wore out, we replaced it with an Avalon. He took care of it until we sold it with well over 200,000 miles on it. Now that the warranty has run out on our new Prius, it is under his care. He also cares of my husband's Ridgeline truck. He is open and honest in all his dealings with us and tells us what must be done now and what can wait. I totally trust his opinion and he always tells me if there is a work-around or alternative. I hate getting auto work done because of the many bad experiences I've had in the past. Let me just say, as someone who just moved to the Central Valley, Mark is incredibly professional, nice and his prices are affordable. My front and back breaks/rotors for my Acura TSX needed to be repaired due to normal wear and tear. I called his shop because I saw his reviews on yelp, also I wanted a shop that knows Honda/Acura. Mark got me into his shop bright and early at 730am. I originally planned to take a lyft/Uber to work and then he offered to drop me off. I was taken aback by the offer and it truly made my day. Not only did he drop me off but he also picked me up! Small acts of kindness go a very long way, especially during a time when it feels like people seem to be solely focused on themselves. Based on this service experience, I have already referred him to people in the office.
