I spoke with Marc, and his energy and enthusiasm about taking care of my car were almost contagious. I came in for an oil change and told them I probably needed brakes on both axles. Based on the mileage and owner's manual, I thought the brake fluid might be due as well. A short while later Marc called. Oil change done. Brakes? Plenty of life left. Brake fluid? They chemically tested it--and the other fluids--using vials and color scales almost like a pool test kit. Everything tested good. That told me immediately what kind of shop I had found. They weren't looking for work to add. They were finding out what my car actually needed. They photographed my engine and cabin filters so I could see them myself. Marc said the engine filter still had life left, but with Central Valley air quality, he recommended the cabin filter. I chose to replace both. I asked if the new cabin filter would eliminate the mysterious midnight smells of Tulare. We agreed there probably isn't a filter powerful enough for that. Then Marc floored me with how well he knew my particular model. He explained what services I could expect at different mileages based on the car and how I drive it. I'm a car nut. I read the books. I watch the videos. I thought I knew my car. **I left Kolben knowing more about it than when I arrived.** There was never any pressure. I knew what they found, what could wait, what they recommended and why. I was always in control. And maybe the highest compliment I can give them: **I would be completely comfortable sending my wife there alone with the car.** She isn't a car nut, but I trust that she would receive exactly the same honesty, respect and straightforward advice I did. It's been headache after headache with Nissan, and specifically with this location. The TLDR for…read morethis is that the workers put on a fake sense of being nice just to ultimately not help at all. My fiancé has had to have her oil pan replaced TWICE because Nissan made a bad product and refuses to take responsibility for it. Now the service center said "we're so sorry about that, you have to make sure every service is done with us to ensure it's done properly." It's a plastic oil pan... whether it's done right or wrong, it's trash. They followed their apologies by allowing us to pay the full $500 for each replacement. This car is 3 years old and is on its 3rd oil pan... More recently, we brought her car back for them to complete a recall service. It was a scheduled appointment at 9am. We received a call a few hours later saying they couldn't complete it and will try again if we want to bring it on Monday. They never called us again to let us know the car was ready, we got there right after closing and they said "sorry we can't release it to you because no one is here in the service department". This means they're holding the car for TWO DAYS even though they've done nothing with it. Absolutely terrible customer service beyond platitudes and a false sense of caring. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Probably all gropetti dealerships just to be safe as I've also had a negative experience at their Honda dealership.

I can't say enough good things about these guys! I brought my truck in after constantly having…read moreproblems with my front differential. Every time I'd take it out to the dunes and drive through the sand to get my camper where I wanted it, the front differential would end up cracking or failing. Brett and Kev took the time to diagnose the real issue and came up with a permanent solution. They fabricated a custom bracket to reinforce the front differential, making it much stronger, and also re-geared both the front and rear differentials. I was honestly a little hesitant at first because I'd had so many failures in the past, but after taking it back out to the dunes and putting it through some hard driving in the sand, it performed flawlessly. The difference is incredible. My truck feels stronger, more capable, and gives me the confidence to drive it the way I always wanted to.
