Been going there for a few years, and it was always uneventful--but yesterday afternoon the guy at the counter was downright insulting. I know they do volume work so I never expected them to be "friendly"--just CIVIL. This one was ridiculous--THREW my debit card back at me under the plexiglass shield, it almost fell onto the floor. Mumbled in such a way I could barely understand what he was saying. No "please" or "thank you." And they shouldn't leave the customer's keys in the car with the driver window all the way down. Dude, get a grip. Don't like women? Customers? Find another job. There's plenty of competition out there, and that's where we're going next time! ;-) read more

I've been here many times. Their prices are some of the best in town and they are always very efficient. The waiting room/lobby isn't exactly resort status, so don't come in expecting a clean recliner with a TV. I don't remember if there was a restroom available either. But the price and wait time overruled those items. One time I didn't pass smog on an old truck I had. The lady at the front desk explained that I didn't pass and provided me with info on what to do next. She didn't try to sell me anything or waste my time. read more

Since my car has to be "Star Certified" now for my smog I have ONLY been coming here, that's how fast, reliable and friendly they are. Always greeted with a smile and a hello by the lovely lady behind the counter, if you're a returning customer they put a little smiley face on your paperwork so that way they can bring up your past visit and make sure you're up to par. I know there's a few Star Certified places on the same road, but why go anywhere else!? They have everything you could want here. Note: if you have an older model vehicle, I believe she said anything in the 90s and lower, it's by "appointment only". She was sweet enough to let a guy come up and do it today, but next time it has to be by appointment only. Newer vehicles can come down that day and get it done. Business has picked up a lot since Covid-19, so be prepared for a little wait in the morning, I came by in the afternoon last week and it was quiet, but they do have a tendency to close early sometimes so call ahead before you come down. read more

Have gone here at least three times for a STAR smog; the service itself is always reliable and reasonably quick. However, this time a woman (co-owner?) was the one at the front office. For unknown reasons she sits yards away, with her back facing the customer window...takes forever to get up, comes across as hostile. Doesn't say *a word*--like "Can I help you?" or even "Hi." While waiting for the service, it didn't take me long to figure out that she goes overboard trying to please the male customers. Tsk, unprofessional. Service wasn't that fast b/c there were a couple of people in front of me which I can totally understand although I would've liked to have been able to make an appointment to avoid that wait. Got my car smogged here during the pandemic when most businesses were still closed. I was selling my car and a smog is usually required. So I called around and this was the only place that answered their phone. I drove over there and it was kind of busy. I'm guessing because all the other places were closed. This was my first time going to Visalia Green Smog. They are very courteous in the front office and did a thorough job on my smog test. Additionally I was informed about a crack in one of my engine hoses. The mechanic said I should get the hose fixed in the next few months. Again a very professional business. Went in on a Saturday afternoon, friendly service, no problem with bringing in an RV - he didn't bat an eye. Said it would be done in 15 minutes and it was.
