Ramen 101 is located in a shopping plaza opposite SF Premium Outlets. My friend and I shopped until we dropped and then had a late lunch here. We arrived around 2 PM, and the restaurant was about 75% full. Fortunately, we ordered at the front and were seated quickly. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered Tonkatsu and Miso Ramen. I chose the Miso with medium spiciness, which was topped with Sichuan chili oil. While I like Sichuan chili oil, I prefer my ramen this particular chili oil; without the peppercorn and Mala flavors in my ramen broth. Both bowls had generous portions and tasted great. The pork chashu slices were flavorful, likely marinated and pan-seared to enhance their taste. They didn't taste gamey, which was a plus. 3.8 rounded to 4 stars. In addition to ramen and other Japanese dishes, this place also offers Hawaiian BBQ, which was a surprise when we ordered at the counter.
Ramen 101 is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in the area. The tonkotsu ramen (medium spicy) and the crab rangoons are my go-to. I always dine-in, and the food comes out super fast.
The food,service and ambiance here is top notch!!!! The bowls are super affordable . The workers were super nice and attentive. We've been 2 times in 2 weeks! 10/10 would recommend
Stopped by after a nearby round of golf. Ramen always hits the spot. This place also serves Hawaiian bbq too. We ordered at the counter and our food came out quickly. Broth was piping hot, noodles were chewy, and the extras in the soup were tasty. Good portions too!
I happened to be in the area by San Francisco Premium outlet. This place is an order before you sit down. Food: I had a Tonkotsu ramen, did not taste like it at all. Did not have that sweet umami broth flavor at all. I mainly tasted the oil, something's lacking for sure. The egg, bamboo, and pork slices were decent though. Service: Wasn't that great. When the ramen came, the server asked who had which ramen, just for them to place it in the middle of the table. The server looked like they did not want to be there. Overall wouldn't go back, I'd go elsewhere in the area.
Have not been here in a while. Still think this is better than the Pleasanton and Dublin stores. Quick dinner meal was convenient. Seating was casual and ambiance is casual. Service was fast. Staff was friendly even close to closing time. The broth for Tonkatsu was flavorful yet not too thick or too much. Pork Rins Ramen was tasty, Not too overpowering. The fried Squid and Takoyaki balls were tasty. The balls could be slight less shaky. Parking just across the outlets, was very easy. And there were plenty of spots. Convenient location too.

Here's what I got: Tonkatsu ramen - the broth had a weird flavor to it, not sure if it's the water being used in the broth or what but I typically love the creamy tonkatsu flavors and this one didn't do it for me. I honestly didn't even want to finish it... ended up packing it up to go after about 5-10 bites (leftovers larger than togo box given) *eaten in the restaurant (and took to-go the leftovers) Hawaiian BBQ mixed plate - nice portion however all the meats had no flavor, as if they weren't marinaded and no sauces on them. I requested extra sides of teriyaki sauce. *taken to-go Spam Musubi- one order included 2 PCs. All the rice was on the bottom so it seemed there was a ton of it and ended up falling out and all over before I could get half way done. Again, no flavor or sauces. *eaten in the restaurant (and took to-go the leftovers) It was a cold and rainy day, I really wanted to like it but unfortunately everything I tried was meh!
So freaking tasty! Nothing better than a warm creamy ramen on a cold day. Place is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful but to the point. The menu is on the wall with pictures for east ordering. The portions are huge so bring your appetite. It's a little in the pricey side but it's def worth it. They have disposable chopsticks on the table which I love. Also you can get unlimited refills on water from the fountain if you don't want to purchase a drink.
We come here for our ramen fix... shop at the outlets across the street then eat ramen lol. My hubby always gets the seafood ramen with extra shrimp and I usually get the ramen with ribs in medium spice. It always hits the spot. They have some good rice dishes as well. We get our food pretty quickly too.... We were the only ones here on Valentine's Day. Haha.
Solid ramen. Better than some from Japan town I've had. It's a fast type of eatery, order and pay before you take your seat. No need to wait for a waiter to bring you a menu. Service is fast, and before I could fill up my cup sip my water, my bowl was ready. Pros: umami Emulsified tonkatsu broth Spice levels (medium was super mild to me) Ramen comes with corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms and chasu Egg was seasoned Black garlic oil (yum) Clean tables, a nice amber lighting, and decor The mural was a nice touch Broth was 3.5/5 Cons: Broth was a bit bitter, kinda like when you boil bones at too high a heat to dish out fast broth for fast service Egg was cooked all the way through. I need my jammy eggs folks! Corn was not sweet, it had no taste The ramen noodles were probably over cooked because it was not as chewy as I'd like Overall this is a 4/5 establishment with a 3/5 ramen. Not bad but nothing stellar. I'd love to try the unagi don. Looks delicious

I'm rating this based on the party trays. I ordered veggie fried rice small party tray and chicken chow mein small party tray on 2 separate occasions. Both were done on time and easy order online. Everyone enjoyed them and priced well. I would definitely order from them again. read more

God the food here is consistently delicious. I live being able to just walk in and know my food is going to taste good . Spicy hot and sour beef ramen is always the way to go . This is my family's go to place when we go shopping at the outlets. Depending on what time of day you go, it may be a little crowded (especially during lunch) and there may not be room for you to sit. The service is fast though so hopefully you won't have to wait long. Their chicken ramen is so flavorful and the meat that comes with is so tender. The egg, scallions, corn and seaweed just add to the mix and the texture of the ramen is just right. The black garlic ramen is their most popular ramen here. My friend said that after trying the chicken, the pork kind of disappointed her. Which is surprising, but is a testament to how good their chicken ramen is! The BBQ mix is a great way to try all the different meats they have available. My dad prefers rice and usually gets this. It's a generous portion so there is enough to share with the rest of your party. Overall, I would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants a meal and a break from shopping. Their restrooms have the possibility of being cleaner than the outlets. Be warned you may not have a seat when you first walk in, but it's totally worth the wait. read more

The Tonkatsu Ramen was pretty good. I think the broth was a little light but overall it was delicious. The tempura battered vegetables were great . I enjoyed every bite. We also had the grilled squid which was also good. I'd come back again, Tempura could use a little salt. Service was great. read more
I ordered takeout for dinner and it wasn't busy early evening on a Thursday. I asked about the Yelp check in promotion but they said it isn't valid anymore. Everything was ready in less than fifteen minutes. I got the black garlic ramen, BBQ mix plate, and lumpia. I don't have a high tolerance for spicy food but I could eat the medium level for the ramen. The flavors were good and there was a good ratio of broth to ramen and toppings. The beef was the best part of the mix plate but I wouldn't order that or the lumpia again. Better to stick with the ramen. read more

Right across the street from livermore outlets! Service was fast and nice, good amount of seating, and wasn't too busy on a late afternoon weekend. The food itself was okay. All the dishes gave what was expected but the flavor itself was lacking in all of them. But the portions are big and can defi itely fill you up if you're hungry! read more
After a long day at the outlets, came to this place for ramen. We got the Black garlic Ramen, it had a rich broth garlic flavor on a medium spicy level with roast pork that was tender. Tonkatsu Ramen, had a nice texture mushroom and a nice soft boiled egg and noodles were cooked just right. The Grilled squid was perfectly grilled, a nice chewy bite to it, went well with the dipping sauce. Takoyaki was one of my favorite, soft and chewy tiny squid as you bite into it with a nice crisp on the outside perfect while it was served hot. A great place for ramen. Definitely will come back again when craving for a Ramen soup. read more

My parents and I decided to eat here for lunch before shopping across the street. Atmosphere: Clean and welcoming Service: We were greeted by the staff as we walked in. We had to order on the counter before taking a seat. The staffs were friendly and efficient. We received our food in a short amount of time. Food: My parents ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and I ordered Shoyu Ramen. My parents enjoyed their ramen. They said the soup base tasted good. On the other hand, my Shoyu ramen was only okay. Nothing spectacular. The egg was cooked really well though. Overall, I think the ramen I had was okay. I would get the Tonkotsu ramen if I come back. In addition to ramen, they also have appetizers and rice plates. I haven't tried those yet. Will try those next time as well. read more

The service was decent and quick, overall no complaints. I had the Black Garlic Ramen with medium spice. It was tasty and not spicy at all. Crab rangoons were good, nothing incredible or bad. I grew up in the area, and it'd say this is a good ramen spot for here. In comparison to ramen spots in San Jose or San Francisco, though, I would barely call this decent ramen. Overall it satisfied the cravings, and I have no major complaints. read more

Located close to Livermore outlets. Ramen always a hit with my daughter and they have many locations throughout the Bay Area so I know we will always get the same great taste. Ordering was quick and easy at counter or a contact less kiosk to the side of counter. Hot green tea is $1 per cup. Asked for veggies on the side of ramen as daughter is not a fan of big chunks of bok Choy. Soup base delicious. Mom got a rice and chicken bento. I am a ramen 101 fan. read more
You have to order first then sit, can't save a seat. We got the miso ramen and added spice to make it spicy miso ramen and added corn with crab Rangoon. It was pretty good but not the best. Service was good. We also asked for more spicy sauce and powder. read more
We were really craving for ramen and at the same time we were looking for a ramen spot where they had outdoor seating. So we spotted this restaurant and we knew it was located at a plaza that was relatively really new and still had lots of vacancies, so it seemed like a good place to avoid the crowds. As soon as we arrived, we walked up to the counter and placed our order, and then picked an outdoor table. The food came pretty quickly - we waited only for no more than 10 mins. And the Tonkatsu ramen was good! The soup base was very creamy and tasty. I asked them for less cooking time on the noodles and they happily accommodated my request. I also asked for "spicy" and I loved the spicy chili oil/sauce they used; it had a spicy numbing sort of flavor to it. And the toppings were quite plenty - fish cakes, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, two thick pieces of pork, green onions and a soft boiled egg. This bowl of ramen was beyond hearty. Definitely perfect especially when you're hungry like I was. At $12 it was a pretty well priced. read more
Solid, slightly above average ramen. The tonkatsu broth is just a little thin on flavor, but the chasu pork is well cooked. The soup noodle is prepared with healthy portions of bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and a soft boiled egg. The chicken karaage is quite delicious. For $8, you get a very big portion of perfectly fried, crispy chicken. This is a great spot for a quick, informal dinner after a full day of shopping at the outlet stores next door. read more
Pretty good! Had the Hawaiian BBQ chicken with rice and macaroni. Service was nice, and the food was served fast, hot, and with a good flavor. Priced at about $15, can't complain with today's higher post pandemic prices everywhere. If I'm craving Hawaiian BBQ, I'll be back since it taste pretty good, close to work and has a convenient parking lot. read more
