Parliament posted their rainy-day happy hour on Instagram the same day I visited, so I was…read moresurprised when the tall bartender with glasses told me the special only applied if it was actively raining at that exact moment. He literally told me, "If a drop of rain comes, then I'll give it to you." It had rained for much of the day, and multiple customers were asking about the same promotion. If the requirement is that rain must physically be falling while you order, that needs to be clearly stated in the advertisement. Otherwise, the promotion feels misleading. I've been to Parliament several times and have never had a bartender interpret the rainy-day happy hour this way. I ended up ordering a smoked Old Fashioned from another bartender I've had before, and it was great. He was friendly, engaging, had great energy, and even did tricks while making the drink. I still enjoyed my cocktail, but it would've been nice to have the option to order from the happy-hour menu as advertised that day. I'm including the Instagram post for reference. I'm very disappointed as I've never not had a good time at Parliament. I really think that the owner should look at the Times stamps around 930 to 10:15pm part night and see the difference of business and traffic flow from when the taller bartender with the glasses versus the shorter Bartender with the glasses was at the front as it was instantly more business. Oh and lastly, I left my Betsy JOHNSON purple umbrella. I'm so sad and they don't have a number to call.

Highlights: Beautiful and intimate space wonderful for a date or a small party. The service is…read moreoutstanding and the drinks and appetizers are fantastic. The Cevichos alone are worth a visit. We'll definitely be coming back! We decided to head to Lower Greenville as part of a night out and decided on Apothecary. We made a reservation for 8.45pm and the place was busy but not packed. The space is beautiful, dimly-lit, and intimate with couches or small tables. We were seated at one of the small tables and both decided to sit on the couch side of the table. Most couples were doing the same and the tables were spread out enough so that we all felt we had enough space. We started with two drinks (Private Barrel Old Fashioned and French Kissing) and two appetizers (Oysters and the Cevichos) . The drinks came out with the Oysters. The Old Fashioned was solid; the French Kissing was a beautiful drink and delicious. The Oysters were served with a touch of salsa, and they were excellent. We ordered a second round of drinks (the Loch'D Inn and another French Kissing) and they arrived with the Cevichos. I'm not a huge fan of scotch, but the Loch'D Inn was very good, with the sweet foam on the drink being fantastic (when my date went to the restroom, I tried to get more of it with my fork it was that good... I really needed a spoon ). Now to the Cevichos, which were the highlight of the night. They were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and I will come back just for those. They were savory while also having a nice citrus flavor... just delicious. The only downside is that you have to eat them somewhat quickly as the chips on the bottom will get soggy if left too long. We closed the night with the Japanese Elotes and a Pekin Tom cocktail, both of which were delicious. The Elotes had so much flavor. Regarding the Pekin Tom, I appreciate that the smoke had a light flavor as the smoke in so many smoked cocktails overpowers the drink itself. That was not the case here -- really well done. The service is also top notch. Our server came by often, but never interrupted while we were deep in conversation. Another gentleman also checked on us twice. I don't know with certainty but I think he was either the manager or the bartender. He always asked about the drinks and made excellent recommendations.

Our first time we went to alchemy, the service and drinks were great. We even got a couple apps for happy hour. The pics are from that visiti. But there's definitely some unique ones. We tried a hot dog water, which is not for everybody. And probably not for us but love that they are getting adventurous. We also had a recommendation from the server for a drink that tasted like pozole... I would have never picked that, but it was delicious. Highly recommend for drinks.

Let me put you on to Double D's Bar in Dallas because this spot surprised me in the BEST way…read more I went during happy hour (5-8pm) and their signature cocktails were only $7, so of course I had two and my friend had two too Every single drink was freshly made and so damn good. Like, you can taste the difference. Whatever the cucumber drink was tasted like springtime in Ireland lol. Now let's talk about the vibe because BABY... from the outside, you would NEVER expect what's inside. You walk in and suddenly you're in a full-on 70s-inspired living room. I mean, the velvet-lined hallway and the beaded doorway *should've* been my warning, but nothing prepares you for it There's tons of seating too: comfy couches, chairs, tables, booths, it really feels like you're just hanging out at somebody's very cool house. They've even have a pool table, and right at 8pm an aggressively competitive Uno game breaks out, which was honestly hilarious to watch. This place is such a vibe. Fun, unique, and just different in the best way. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

Right from the start, I loved the entrance--it's super cool how they're connected with the sushi bar next door. The atmosphere was top-tier, complete with great music and fast, friendly service. Food: They don't serve full meals here, but they do have desserts available if you want something sweet. Parking: Parking right out front can be a bit tricky, but it's always worth taking a quick loop to check for street parking first. Full review: I made a reservation for Ginger's at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9.20pm and there was no line yet. We were able to go right in but had to wait until our reservation time for the table. We got a drink from the bar, where the other patrons were friendly and the bartenders were fast and very attentive despite it already being fairly busy. Our table was ready right at 9.30, and it was great. Two large comfy chairs with a small cocktail table in between. Cozy enough for conversation despite the place being fairly busy. It was much busier by the time we left (there was a line outside at that point), but our cozy spot was great regardless of how crowded the place got. As far as the aesthetics go, the bar is beautiful and the discreet entrance gives it the speakeasy feel. The music was great, and a handful of patrons danced in the space (which just added to the lively ambience). The drinks are top notch. I only had two. The Ginger's Old Fashioned is a solid old fashioned but nothing to rave about. However, the Diamond in the Rough is amazing and unlike any other bourbon cocktail I've had. I'd go back for that alone (and would definitely the Barrel-Aged Black Manhattan the next time). The only real downside to the bar is the restrooms. There was a slight wait for the men's (no big deal), but the wait for the women's was pretty crazy with a line outside. We let women start alternating to use the men's because we felt a little bad for them.
