I like Ralph's better than the Von's down the street. Ralph's is always clean, produce is fresh, and the prices are competitive. I like the layout of the store. Things are easy to find. I live closer to Von's but I make the longer trip to Ralph's because the Von's on Seal Beach is ghetto. read more

The only good thing about this market is that is has a huge variety of things from kitchen ware to gourmet food. Bad things is that the isles are too narrow. I felt like I was being looked at like I was going to steal, maybe because most of the customers are Caucasian. I felt so uneasy that I only bought half of the items on my shopping list. The cashier who I saw was named Mike was friendly and talkative but with Caucasian women and he was rude towards me. All he said u want bags. If I could give a double negative I would. EVERY employee in this store should UNDERSTAND how gift cards work and how they work with the DMV machine. To have a machine in your store and sell gift cards that your employees and managers are completely clueless about I beyond me. I went in with cash because the web said Kiosk accepts cash. When I arrived l, the machine said "Cash feature not active". But you can purchase a prepaid gift card. I went and purchased a gift card. I specifically asked the cashier if it was the correct card he stated yes but I would need two because he could only load $500 ok no problem. Got two cards at 1:33 pm l, needless to say at 8:30 pm I have no tags and RALPHS/Visa have $560 and will not return or exchange this card so I'm able to get my sons registration. Had I known, I would've just used my card and deposit his money into my account. At the end of the day, great customer service on both ends hard to find. Not to mention the representative on the phone said the funds didn't load to the card until 4:33 pm what kind of mess is this? The disclaimer on the cards says "No value until paid for and activated at register" it does not say funds may take 4 to 24 hours to load. I'm completely beside myself. I don't know how exactly to review a grocery store, aside from saying that this one is very big, very clean, well-organized, and the staff is always helpful. It's my family's go-to grocery store. I've even had sushi from the sushi counter here. I don't know how smart it is, buying sushi from your neighborhood grocery store, but my dragon roll tasted just as good and fresh as from a restaurant... maybe even better! Oh, I also wanted to mention: The blueberry muffins from the bakery are DELICIOUS. Seriously. Best blueberry muffins I've ever had. Very sugary, though. Highly recommended. read more

What is wrong with the deli staff? I have never gone to this store and had decent deli service, I am always waiting. Once I stood for 5 minutes while the girl just kept opening up bags of corn and pouring into bowls. The last time I asked for several pieces of fried chicken and the woman told me she couldn't give me the substitutions I asked for (I wanted just thighs) and when I asked why she didn't have an answer. Now, the check out staff is a different issue. 98% of the time they get 5+ stars, especially Emily who always seems to be willing to go the extra distance. read more

This is my go to market. It's on my way home. It's fully stocked and it has variety. The Ralphs by my house is smaller and not as stocked. My wife and I came in Sunday for dinner and stocking up for the week. They have a great wine section, great cuts of meat(even prime), fruits and veggies are fresh. read more

I've really liked shopping at this location for several years. However I have shopped there twice during last few weeks. Both times it seemed the store had too many people due to the current Covid-19 circumstances. People were not maintaining distance. One lady came very close to me to reach for an item she wanted in front of me. She said excuse me but she spoke maybe 2 feet from my face. She was wearing a mask thankfully. But too close. I politely brought this to her attention and she got huffy and walked away. To the stores credit they were broadcasting reminders for distancing and have space marked at checkout. This has always been a great store for me but wish people would respect and show courtesy for distance requirements. read more

These stars are ONLY for seafood counter area! They have kids running fish fry area.. Has no experience in fryer or people skills. There was a younger man who was pleasant.. But young man with longer hair. Who was there today (7/22/15 @ 7pm, is bad has no clue). Have him bag instead. He had no idea what the seasoning is called. He had me run and get a box of Cajun mix for him that was on display. So disappointed. Both the Ralphs in Lakewood of Del Amo and the one off Warlow in Cypress have the best fryer service. The Seal Beach needs to put someone how has knowledge of what is back there and name of stuff. Again put tat Gentleman to run carts or bag... I will never go back. pharmacy is great. they never screw up my prescriptions and i refill a ton of prescriptions here a month. i have never had to wait to pickup my stuff. staff is great and friendly always smiling. also ralphs website allows you to refill your prescription online and view pickup status. i think this is great. it is a little bit out of the way for me (dt lbc) but id rather make the drive than have my prescription incorrect or have to wait because they did not refill them even though i requested a refill. write-ade and seevee-ess are the worst. read more

This is really the only place I grocery shop because I like everything about it, except the deli counter. I would give it a 5 star rating, but if possible I would give the deli counter a 1 star rating. It doesn't matter if I'm the only person there, or if theres 5 people in line, its a head ache to get decent service from the deli counter. I feel they just ignore you every time and don't treat you like a priority. Its crazy the rest of the place is so great and they just have one crappy area in regards to service. The pithy cashier told my fiancé backpacks aren't allowed. A few issues with this, #1 Then the giant purse I lug around shouldn't be allowed either. #2 Crappy delivery said in a really snide manner by miserable cashier, #3 How is someone to tote wallet, phone and a few items home on a motorcycle?, #4 How 'bout we just go to Trader Joes from now on? Such a great shopping experience. The DELI EMPLOYEES where great! Super friendly. A gentleman passed by a few times in a purple-ish shirt (possibly a manager) smiled and acknowledged me every time. Another gentleman in a white shirt (looked like a manger as well) said hi, in a totally genuine way. Almost every employee I walked by smiled and greeted me, even offered assistance. I have been going to this location since it opened on Seal Beach Blvd. The service has always been good, and the pharmacy is great. Last weekend, I stood at the meat counter for at least 20 min. No service. People walked up that knew the butcher, and they were helped first. I mentioned this to the Checker, and all she would say, is "oh well". Talked to the manager, same response. The quality of service continues to drop at this location. I will be moving my pharmacy stuff to another store, and will never go back here again. They need a complete replacement of Checkers, along with Management. The service is CRAP!! read more

Going to this ralphs is always an interesting experience. The first challenge is to survive the parking lot full of half conscious 87 year olds. Once you get in it's like an obstacle course of oblivious people that have no idea they're in everyone's way. If you're lucky someone from leisure world might shit their pants while you're in there, good times. On your way out don't forget to get a cart for your 2 bags of groceries. God forbid your majesty is inconvenienced in the slightest way. After loading them up in your car just go ahead and leave the cart out there, the cart guy will get it don't worry it's all about you. I really like this store. It's not the nearest supermarket to me, but I make an effort to go to this one instead of the supermarket near me. They have great service, usually have ad items in stock, and are fast through the checkouts. The parking lot is easily accessible with plenty of spaces because it shares the space with Target & Bed Bath Beyond. I've been here on weekdays, weekends, days, and nights. Great service at all times. This store is huge and easy to get around the aisles. I will not consider going back to my regular grocery store unless these guys falter, which I doubt. read more

So... Just came back from this Ralph's. Everytime I go in here I usually get some type of attitude from the other customers (a certain privileged type of people like to shop here), but this time it was from the Deli Dept. A young, scrawny, white dude with brown-reddish hair was at the deli today. My husband and I picked up ready-made baked chicken on display. There weren't many sides we wanted left so we went to the deli to get the 2 sides that come with it, which we have done before. My husband asks for the 2 sides and the employee automatically has an attitude, stating, "I can't even hear you!" Now I wouldn't be upset with this if he hadn't said it the way he did. My husband repeats himself... and the employee states something along the lines of, "There are sides on the display, you get those." We stated again we wanted sides from the deli. He continued to rudely say we couldn't and just get the ones out on display. The fact we have done this before AND he was rude and seemingly just didn't want to serve us... We decided to complain to the nice gentleman at the register who called the manager Terry (SP?) over. Terry was awesome... He listened to our concerns and he even gave us half off our meal, which he certainly did not have to do. He let us know he would talk to his employees in the deli about this and correct them. We just wanted to let them know we didn't appreciate how we were being treated. It was very nice of Terry to accommodate us that way. Only 3 stars though... Because there always seems to be an issue when my family goes to this Ralph's. 5 stars for Terry and the man at the register! read more
