Have never had a problem with the employees at this store until today. Kathy, the self checkout monitor, was being very rude to me and my wife the entire time we were checking out. I'm not sure if it has to with my wife being brown or what, but it was extremely hostile and unnecessary. To top it off, she accused us of stealing bags and wouldn't let us leave before charging us 30 cents... way to stay vigilant Kathy!

Shame on you Ralphs bakery!!!!

The baker at this bakery hates her job! She needs to quit or get fired! I ordered a special cake for my son's 20th birthday and every birthday is a special occasion for anyone and she completely ruined his cake. It looks like crap it looks like she took literally two seconds to write his name on it and this is not OK this is a celebration that we're gonna be taking pictures of and remembering forever because it's his 20th birthday and she just slapped it on there like she really didn't give a crap she needs to literally just get fired or just retire!!!!! Shame on you!!!!

Just so I remember how much cupcakes cost. :)

I don't get the low rating... - New products and flavors you won't find at Vons / Staters - There's always clearance items in the deli which is great for a lunch pick up - Presliced deli meat and cheese is super convenient in a pinch - Store is always clean - Insane amount of parking and it's in the same plaza as Tarje ;) - All 3 varieties of the Cadbury eggs! Their holiday candy selection is always outstanding. - Carts are bussed in a timely manner & never have trash Only gripe is to cut your coupons before you get there. Reception is spotty within the store.

I went to this Ralph's Grocery store yesterday, and I was impressed.I needed a particular item that I couldn't find, and a Ralph's employee asked if I needed help, and he helped me and showed me where the item was:) He was so friendly. The grocery store was very clean and organized, I also loved the produce here as well.

Produce | The Produce Department was neat and tidy, as well as colorful! Other customers were friendly while walking through! I love the heart-shaped packaging for the strawberries, super cute! I picked up other fruit as well! Flowers | There were so many colorful & pretty flower bouquets! It took a while to look through the Flower Department! Everything was lined up neatly! I found the perfect one, as I love to buy myself flowers on a regular basis!! Outside Patio | Since it was the holidays, the Easter bunnies moss topiaries out front were so cute! Also, the cowboy boots moss topiaries! Haha! Customer Service | Super friendly at checkout, conversation flowed easily! Thanks again for the compliment on my dress! Surroundings | Numerous restaurants, shops, a beautiful Barnes & Noble, a movie theater in so much more! Great area, plenty of free, covered parking and outdoor parking shared with other stores! Overall | If in the area & I wanted to pick up a few items, I would easily shop at this Ralph's location again!

I had a really frustrating experience at this Ralphs, around 4:30 PM today. I was grocery shopping…read moreand had opened a bag of chips to snack on while I shopped, which I brought to self-checkout to pay for along with cottage cheese and salsa. I was paying with cash. I had $43.70 with me and first inserted $0.70 into the self-checkout machine, followed by a $20 bill. The machine took my $20 bill but did not credit it toward my purchase or return it. I immediately asked the self-checkout attendant for help. A manager became involved and they opened the machine, but said they couldn't find the $20. I told them to check the cameras because I absolutely put a $20 bill into that machine. Despite the machine having taken $20.70 from me, they were still going to require me to pay separately for the bag of chips. At that point, I was so frustrated that I left the cottage cheese and salsa behind and didn't complete the rest of my grocery purchase. I did pay for the chips because I had already opened and eaten some of them. What made the situation worse was how unhelpful the self-checkout attendant and manager were. Both seemed annoyed when I initially asked for assistance, even though I was dealing with a problem involving their self-checkout machine and $20 of my money. I called Ralphs customer service immediately afterward and opened a case so this can be investigated. I hope they review the transaction, the machine and the camera footage and return my $20. It's unfortunate because I liked shopping at this Ralphs and my pharmacy is located here, but after the way this was handled, I don't want to grocery shop at this location again.

I came looking for frozen pizza. They tend to have some you can't find everywhere. It was after 9,…read morethe parking lot was so dark I wasn't sure if they were open. That should absolutely be addressed. It had a creepy feel to me. Inside was fine and clean and up to Gelsons standards. I roamed around, found a ginger beer I fell in love with and forgot where I bought, got some smoked butter, excited to try it, never seen it! I noticed they had beef lung for dogs, but not elk (yes, my cat eats the elk lung for dogs- but don't tell him that). They just always have different things, and I enjoy experimenting. The truffle pinsa sounded good, Raen checked me out and she was raving about the Pinsa and trying them. She was also a sweetheart. I underutilise this store and will be going more. I wish I appreciated the Pasadena one when we had it. That pinsa was fire!

First time trying ine and the whole family was impressed. I thawed and baked according to their instructions and it came out perfectly delicious! I am honestly thinking about getting another one or two, just to keep in the freezer in case they don't bring them back until the holidays!

My daughter and I were in the area and wanted to really browse the store. They had a beautiful selection of fresh meat and seafood, the prepared foods items were piled high and looked appetizing in their case, and produce was fresh and good looking. They also carry many top organic and gluten free food brands, health and wellness products and freshly prepared juices at the juice bar. They even offer freshly baked cookies in the bakery, kept on a warming tray. The aroma was crazy! This time we decided to grab lunch from their hot and cold bar. It was the only miss, in my opinion. The roast vegetables, baked herb chicken drumsticks, and tofu peanut slaw were moist and fairly tasty, but the entree selections featured an Asian theme and they were mediocre - spicy Asian vegetables, beef and broccolini, kung pao chicken, whitefish in sauce. My daughter chose mostly from the salad bar and she enjoyed hers. Their poke bar looked more appetizing, but I don't think I would return for that. The only other negative was no toilet paper in any of the women's restroom stalls.

Very early 60's ..... if you like that kind of store. A real nostalgic market loaded with just about everything you need for the day. This place is busy during the summer because it's about 1/2 mile from Main St. So walking to DTSB to get drinks, chips, etc for the beach, then walking back is a real pain, hence Dolphin Market is a true "convenience" store for beach goers, as well as for locals. I'm sure everyone can recall the small mom & pop corner market where they grew up, how it held untold treasures behind cabinets, under shelves and in the coolers. Cold soda pop, NiHis, jaw-breakers, ice cream bars, it was all here. Remember asking your parents for a quarter and running off with your friends to that market? Ken, the proprietor, says he owns over fifty surfboards. And I believe him cuz I think a third of them are here. They hang from the ceiling, lean against walls or lie on the floor waiting for some attention. Mop-headed, blond-haired kids come in wearing nothing more than bathing suits covered in sand and dried saltwater to stare in wide wonder at the waves these boards must have seen in their day. 8x10" faded photographs of ancient surf stars sliding down monstrous waves cover holes in the walls. Bobble-heads, mostly baseball characters, stare down impassively and watch the show from on high between rows of collectible Coke cans and the flotsam and jetsam of a lifelong collector. This is Ken's world. Wife "Barbie" runs their day care center. Maintaining two businesses means the "Open" sign isn't hung regularly but, as summer approaches, you'll spot it more and more as you walk up from the beach looking for that cold brew and hot story of how that ceiling-slung "Trestles Special" once carved delicious tracks across a sparkling blue wave. Deep love indeed.

The store itself also lacked any distinctive design elements or unique thematic touches that made it memorable. As a result, the overall ambiance felt rather bland. Lastly, I noticed that both the food and product inventory appeared to be low. It seemed as though there was less variety than what is typically available at other Trader Joe's locations of comparable--or even smaller--size.
