I am unable to walk and first I ordered to have groceries delivered and my delivery guy was Justin. I ordered 27 items so I could eat cuz I can't walk. Then the delivery guy suddenly turn to a guy named Bobby with long hair I added milk to my car for another order on top of 27 items so 28 items to be exact. Bobby canceled my milk order and only brought me seven items and then ignored all my messages after I asked what happened to all the groceries. I'm never shopping at Ralphs again. Vons grocery delivery is 10 times better.. Thank you, Shelly read more

I always love going to Ralph's even when it comes to doing Instacart, but Norma was not nice at all. Instead of getting a hello, she abruptly asked me, "Is this regular or online pay?" I never understood her question, and I told her, "Regular." I then forgot to show her my barcode and she rudely stated, "Well when I asked you you should have given it to me." Miguel another worker could not help me, and seemed to take her side. Norma's behavior was not acceptable. She is not my mother because when I was in line she sounded like it. I would have a manager speak to her about her behavior, because that was not acceptable. If she is like this again, I would want her to not come back for two weeks. She did not use any kind customer service either. read more

Two stars because employees are usually pretty friendly. However, I just want to put a warning out to others, if you go there in the morning before 830 or so, they do NOT even have one cashier to help you. Your only choice is to use self check out. If you are not aware of this, you might fill up your car only to get let down. I like to use this location since it's close to me, so I try to remember that this is the case so I don't accidentally grab all the items I need. I never get all my items and leave with a pretty small amount once I remember I have to check myself out (then head to a different store later; I don't have time in the morning). Just a heads up! read more

Giving this location 2 starts is giving. It is tiny(I understand it is next to the beach) and so awkwardly laid out. The exterior is so overcrowded with things that you nearly get ran over by cars everything with have to walk around another barrier and the second entrance that comes into the produce was closed at 2pm making the only entrance at the base of the registers the way to get it. This leads to a lot of not needed crowdedness and head to head cart encounters. The aisles are way to small for anyone to shop. Two carts cannot go next to each each other and to add to the difficulty the connecting aisles between are loaded with pallets of product not being unloaded. Overall a frustrating and crowded experience that wouldn't be needed with the correct amount of cashiers and proper timing of goods in aisles read more

Customer service is horrible and just bad manners from employees at this location. Auzy was working in the floral department today and my sister and I were looking at the potted plants. We had two potted plants on the counter ready to put them in our basket, deciding what color pots we wanted. Auzy's coworker saw us looking at them, and comes over and tells her to put them behind the counter because she wants to buy them.. Auzy comes over, steps in front of my sister and I without an excuse me (literally getting within inches of us) and starts grabbing the plants. She walk back and forth grabbing them stepping right in front of us taking the pots we want plus two more. All she said was "I'm working" aka get out of my way. When we asked why she started putting them away, she said she had to "switch them out" but then said they "hadn't been labeled yet", leaving two plants left that we dying/ leaves were damaged. When my sister confronted her about it saying we were buying those, she said her coworker had already bought them so there was nothing she could do, and why don't we go ask her coworker to trade... This is completely unprofessional and rude. Who does that? She was super unpleasant towards my sister when she asked why she kept getting in our personal space and taking the plants and putting them behind the counter. Kept changing her story and getting loud instead of just saying I'm sorry. Customers shouldn't be treated that way, and employees shouldn't be buying or setting stuff aside during their shift, especially when they see a customer wanting to buy the product, let alone being super rude about it. We shop here weekly and will not be anymore. Auzy, learn some manners and learn what personal space is. And when a costumer confronts you about your attitude and manners, try listening instead of being rude and getting loud, you're a work. Yikes. read more

The service deli is violating HACCP guidelines. They leave the cold cuts our on the counter and are using a filthy slicer. There was no one at the counter with 2 employees behind the counter chatting it up. It looks like they haven't cleaned their slicer all morning by the looks of all the left over shavings piling up. read more

if i could give this place 0 stars, i would. i would go to the end of the earth to give it 0 stars. the grocer and bagger that helped my friends and i were SO RUDE. i was crying in the line and all they asked me is if i wanted to start a ralph's reward membership??? i was yelping and hollering in pain and the bagger looked my friend in the EYES and pretended to vomit. i wanted to vomit. we are not from this town and we will never shop at ralph's again. read more

Location is convenient for me. The food and produce is acceptable quality. However, each time I have used Ralph's , the staff at the cashier are preoccupied with their own conversation ignoring customers. Training and management awareness and oversight is needed. Not a single person in the store including some employees had a mask on despite a sign on the front door saying they're required. Also doesn't have Apple Pay at any of the registers, super inconvenient. What year is it?! Ralphs - Posh! - Grocery Near Me - San Clemente, California

I dig this Ralph's. I visit San Clemente as much as my schedule allows for simple rest, relaxation and of course the surf. It is nice to know when I am traveling to San Clemente instead of having to transport a cooler packed with food & drink I can just stop at this Ralph's. It is pretty sweet after an incredible surf session in the area and in desperate need of water and/or food you will find it all right here. This Ralph's is easily accessible off of both the 5 North & South and located right on the main street in San Clemente which happens to be South El Camino Real drive. This Ralph's on several of my visit was walking distance from my Motel. I was able to keep a majority of my meals healthy by knowing exactly what was in them instead of having breakfast, lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. This Ralph's has a large parking lot that is dedicated for Ralph's patrons. You will not find panhandlers in this parking lot, which I find to be a HUGE plus. I was pleasantly surprised as I was walking into this Market I witnessed an employee out in the parking lot picking up trash that could easily by caught up by the wind and find its way to the Ocean. When I visited this Ralph's I found this inside to be spotless. This location looks like it recently went through a remodeling and looks quite fancy!!! The Market not only looked clean but smelled clean including the bathrooms. There were no lines. The employees were extremely helpful. Any question I had in regards to where to find particular items I was direct to the right area. The staff all seemed to be working as a team, all had smiles on their faces and all seemed stoked to be at work. If you are looking for fancy wine and/or cheese for a party this Ralph's has got you covered. If you are a vegan this Ralph's has got you covered. If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth this Ralph's has definitely got you covered. I will without question continue to visit this Ralph's when in the area for all of my food / water related needs. Also good to know where you can find a clean bathroom=) read more

Ralphs - Cheat day San Clemente style:) surf trip 05-15-2014!!! - Grocery Near Me - San Clemente, California

I know what you're all thinking already! Just because one bro is on one coast and the other on another doesn't mean that one bro needs a reminder of him. I mean how was I supposed to know there was a Ralph's Grocery store?! Not bad for such a small place (yes, I know Ralph. That's what she said). Ralph's has descent selection, fresh food, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff. We came in one night looking for some precooked chicken only to find the deli guy cleaning out the bins. After he saw the look of disappointment on our faces he went and grabbed the very last one from the back. It was very nice, he didn't have to do that. They also had my favorite spice which we can't get back here in Chicago anymore. I stocked up!! Thanks Ralph's!!! read more

I got to say when I overheard an employee collecting carts say "FUCK YOU" to a guy leaving the store on a motorcycle I couldn't believe what I heard. As far as I could tell I guess the young male employee had taken exception to where the motorcycle was parked. read more

Beautiful, Great store....except for the fact that the rude cashier and snarky bagger ruined the entire environment. My friends and I were simply trying to check out when we received nothing but dirty, nasty, gruesome, disgusting, foul, and disrespectful looks from the bagger. She looked me in the eyes and pretended to vomit with her finger in her mouth. Then when we were walking out to leave she audibly crop-dusted us with the most gut wrenching, gag inducing bowel movements and snarked. Would not recommend going while she's on the schedule. read more

This Ralphs is approx. 2.5 miles from San Mateo Campground which is part of San Onofre Campground. They sell Smore Sticks for $1.50 They had everything we needed at reasonable prices. This market as been around forever.. at least for most of my life anyways haha. It was right by where I grew up and we frequented there for our food. Great customer service specially by Ray! He works so hard and always remembers me! Horrible experience where the cashier forgot to charge the man in front of us and charged us for his groceries, no apology just excuses. Then shift manager Robert made us the criminal and was unbelievably rude, condescending and threatening. Have followed up with the GM for resolution with days gone by and no response. Customer service is a lost art and this team is in last place of that. So unfortunate and disappointing and I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Sushi department was incredibly rude!! We had a food allergy to avocado and had asked the sushi staff if they would be able to make a poke bowl with no avocado. The staff said no and then pretended like we weren't there the rest of the time. Keep in mind we bought all the other poke bowls so we were obviously providing a lot of service and just wanted another poke bowl made since we bought all of them that were made. The way the staff pretended like we weren't even there was some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Last night in SC and we need some ingredients to make guacamole from the beautiful avocados we got ealier in the week. Quick run to Ralph's: limes--check, beautiful and juicy; garlic salt--check; red onion--check, sweet and not harsh; adobo seasoning...negatory, Ghost Rider. My Fred Meyer Rewards card worked at the self checkout stand for the store card discount. Sweet. May have been random luck and matching numbers with some other poor bastard's Ralph's card, but I'll take it. The lady helped us scan our "Imported from Belgium" Belgian waffle wrapped in cellophane (it didn't want to scan), so there's that. Good place. Pretty good selection, reasonable prices (make sure you have a store discount card--if not, ask for one), and friendly staff. That'll work. read more

Once again Ralphs goes into it's 'price goughing' mode! Jacking up their prices by 25 to 50 % on some items. Examples: 16oz blueberries now 7.49, were 4.99, Staters still 4.99. Filet mignon 23+/lb.,Staters 13/lb. Ralphs outrageously greedy! read more

This is for the bakery section of the grocery store. The store itself is great. I just got a surprise birthday cake for my husband and I will definitely be going to a different bakery next time. THIS 5 star rating is actually for SEAN (who I believe is the store manager during the evening shift?). Thank you so much for being awesome - your customer service level is amazing. I had several WIC checks that needed to be processed and not only was Sean very efficient and courteous, but he did it without any hassle or making me feel as if I was a burden. I had horrible experiences in the past with other people at other locations, and so I am just grateful for Sean and people like him who really encompass the "aloha" spirit. Thanks again! read more

This review is for the store on El Camino Real. We were so excited to get a local grocery store in this part of town. It has continually frustrated every local I know. They never have what you need. Today again I wonder why I even stop in. They do not have any laundry pre-spray. No Spray and Wash. No Shout. Nothing. REALLY? I talked to manager to confirm. Last time I went for baby back ribs. Only sad looking frozen freezer burned, small selection. Again, had to leave to go elsewhere. Don't waste your time, You will need to go to another store anyway. They cater to the campground nearby. Horrible parking. read more

Lisa was very rood no sense of costumer service I really hope it was just that night that she was having a bad day.

I understand why there are so many negative reviews of this store. The parking is a major problem and limited shelf space results in small selection of items. But we have to remember what caused these problems. Ralph's proposed renovation of this store about 10 years ago, included enlarging the square footage by adding A second level. Of course some residents screamed. Their view would be disrupted. The Council and Planning Dept. relented. This resulted in the property we have today, dangerous parking and limited selection of goods, read more

I live in San Clemente. I participate in the digital coupon program for Ralphs. Several times in this particular Ralphs, the coupons do not come off the receipt. I have to go back to the store and show my receipt and the digital coupon. This is time consuming and I should not have to make the extra trip to correct what is a problem with this particular store.. I have shopped at other Ralphs in the area, and this problem does not exist. If there is an issue, the checker corrects it immediately. The checkers here, fight with you over the issue. Terrible service!!! The only person here that is helpful, is Bob the Asst. Mgr. Where is the general manager of this store? I have never met him. I shop early morning and late afternoon. He needs to oversee his employees!! The two women managers that work in the early morning are so rude. They snap at you if you ask a question. If you have a digital coupon issue, they treat you like, how dare you question my authority. I have never been treated this way in any other Ralphs store. Only at this location. Unfortunately, I am now reluctant to shop in this store anymore. I will travel to another Ralphs close by to avoid the incredibly rude service and registers that overcharge you on a consistent basis. read more

The self check out attendant and this Ralph's on 1/27/22 around 4:50pm was extremely rude! I already hate this particular Ralph's location because it is small and poorly laid out and the parking lots is the same. I went today because it was convenient and struggled to shop because it was busy and the store is entirely too small. I get to the self checkout and I'm checking my items out and it keeps saying I've place things in the bagging area that haven't been scanned. That wasn't true because I checked my order over and made sure I want unintentionally not scanning things. I'm ready to pay and it calls the attendant over. She gets there and I said I don't need help I'm not sure what the problem is. She said "well if you don't need help, should I just walk away and you can stand here all day and wait for it to correct itself." That first off is an extremely rude unwarranted comment and the tone she used was extremely hateful. I said I'm sorry I wasn't trying to be rude I was just saying that I'm not sure why it's going off when I've done everything I need to do. She said well obviously you didn't scan something. I'm going to check every item and count. Her tone and attitude made me think that she thought I was stealing something. So she checked every item and counted every item, treating me like a thieving child! I paid and went on my way but I was irritated and I left feeling disrespected and embarrassed. I didn't look at her name tag but she was a tall dark haired woman. read more

Update- 1/6/19 Well nothing has changed!! I don't know why I torture myself by going to this store to try to find something as simple as a whole chicken. No cut up chicken and no whole chickens to be found anywhere. I have no idea what fills the shelves of this crappy store. Nothing that I ever need. I wish I could give the store -5 stars!! If I could give this store zero stars I would. The employees are super nice and friendly and helpful but whoever buys for the store hasn't a clue. They never have what I need. I always end up having to go to a second store to finish my grocery list. So most of the time I just skip this store and go to a different store. I usually only come to this Ralph's in case of an emergency. I thought when they remodeled it would be more like the Ralph's in Talega, with lots of choices and lots of items, but unfortunately that was not the case. For instance they have 1000 types of olive oil but no walnut or avocado oil. Not to mention that the parking is ridiculous!! So my advice is unless you just need ice or firewood don't bother. read more

She proceed to tell me to go to the self check out register and the girl would redeem it. I said, the girl told me she couldn't do it. I was not happy being bounced back and forth. I walked over and the girl said "I had to get permission." She looked upset and gave me an attitude. Well, She could have gotten permission while I was waiting. The place wasn't that busy at 7:15 am.
