If you value kindness and good service, this might not be the market for you. Very bad treatment-- scolded and berated without good cause. Bad atmosphere and rude treatment!!! I've been a long time customer and this used to be a friendly place...no longer! read more

First time experiencing racism here, The manager named Grimham refused to sell alcohol to me and my fiancé even though we both had our ID's So I asked him if I could speak to the manager then rudely said "I am the manager" So then asked if I could speak to someone in charge of him & he replied "Im not telling you anything you can f* figure that out yourself, BUENAS SUERTE" in a ridiculous accent mocking that I was Mexican. When i Was speaking in English the whole time. I have never been treated that way in my life. read more

Late night and needed milk and water for our stay. It looks big but it's one of the smallest Ralphs I've been in. Or does it feel small because they have crammed so much stuff in the aisles and anywhere they can find space. It took me a while to find what I needed because the layout is different from the one in my hometown. There were not cashiers only self-checkout. Granted it's convenient since I didn't have to wait behind someone who had a million items and questions...you know what I'm talking about. It's a decent supermarket. the staff are great and the store always has what I need. the 1 star review is because this Ralph's keeps rat poison outside of their store. Rat poison almost always makes it way into the environment and kills birds, pets, and other wildlife. I'll make sure to contact upper management regarding this since it's not necessary to use rat poison for rodent control read more

Came into ralphs looking for nicks mint chocolate chip ice cream, left the store getting scolded by some russian lady. Firstly, the door doesn't even open and is covered by $21 watermelons. If you open the ice cream fridge door with the scoops, the entire setup will fall and you will spend 10 minutes give or take trying to fix it while people give you disgusted looks. To add on to this complaint they did not have the pepperccini kettle chips for my girlfriend , disappointed is an understatement. And to end this crazy last minute ralphs run with an absolute bang, a lady working the self checkout gave me a dirty look, and then proceeded to ridicule me and my girlfriend for walking away before pressing no cash back. One amazing part of this experience was the $6.50 terriaki bowls located in the chip isle. Have fun! Do not recommend. read more

Came in today with my boyfriend to get some flowers for my mom, we wanted them to look nice and properly wrapped instead of in the basic plastic and we didn't have time to go to a floral shop. After purchasing them, we went up to the floral table and the worker that was there was very rude and dismissive of us. She gave us attitude and practically snatched the flowers out of our hands, did the most rushed and half-ass wrapping and shoved them back into my boyfriends chest and left with "ok bye now" when it was finished. Never would recommend getting your flowers wrapped here. read more

Ralph's carries excellent brands, their meat department is pleasant and offers good cuts of meat. I really like their flower shop.

This is one of the worst grocery stores I have ever been in; more specifically their produce dept doesnt deserve any stars. I want to say its handy because it is very close to my house, but since I repeatedly find that when I need something in a pinch like celery yesterday, they are all out. Their produce dept is poorly stocked, if stocked at all. They are often out of produce staples such as celery, green onions, and squash. What they do offer often looks less than fresh. Sometimes the items that can be found in the Organic section, forcing you to pay more or go to another store. Honestly, two stars is generous! I can not believe they get away with such poor service in such a high end retail space like South Orange County. I should have taken a picture of how bad it was, but instead I just left empty handed yet again. read more

BEWARE anything on sale is not fresh. Meats, cookies, fruits. Goes stale immediately. Chopped meat ( burgers ) discoloration in less then a day. Not once, not twice. Consistently. Lastly watch out for shelf prices versus register prices. They are more often then not higher at the register. Full of excuses. Ralphs has become ( like our state ) a disgrace. From the best to disgraceful. Empty shelves. Prices outrageous and quality is pathetic read more

Excellent Customer Service! I had a fantastic experience at Ralph's with Felicia !! She is the BEST. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Felicia went out of their way to assist me in finding some items I couldn't find. the cashiers were kind and efficient during checkout. The store was clean, well-organized, and fully stocked, making my shopping trip smooth and enjoyable. It's refreshing to see a team that truly values their customers. I'll definitely be coming back--highly recommend! read more

Came in for libations with my husband for our mini vacation. Courtney (dark hair, fair skin), wrung us up wrong. 6 different bottles of wine with 30% discount per. Husband noticed she did it incorrectly, charging us the same price for all 6. When he said something, she looked at him, changed one, but left the rest. Weird. Wasn't sure if she was just in a rush because of the line behind us, but c''mon now, you have one job. Do it right. Fast forward 2 days later. We trekked back from where we were staying to get our difference back (ie, the money taken from us). Young man Dylan helped us - this kid is quick, intelligent, and respectful and needs to be recognized. No doubt he'll be someone's boss someday. Thank you, Dylan, for making up for a coworker's incompetence. read more

I used to shop at Ralph's when I was in college, so this was kind of a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I came to purchase bottled water, Gatorade, and bananas. I found everything I needed with ease. I used the self checkout kiosk, and the woman working the self checkout section was extremely helpful and friendly. I wasn't able to get my Ralph's card to link as it's been a while since I've shopped at Ralph's and she did not hesitate to scan her card for me. I paid and was on my way. read more

Shelves too high. Selection of basics shockingly poor. Not set up for customer convenience.

Customer Service is Questionable. I'm not sure why most of the Employees act like they don't care about Customers. They don't Greet you (Cashiers)... Don't say Thanks. Cashiers and mostly everyone that I have seen in this Store... Are so Rude. Except the people working outside and some others working in around the store. And for that reason I will give (1-) Only. read more

Hello, I would like to complain about this store and the self check out. I have been shopping here since this store opened up. Back before covid this store was great. Never any waiting and the policy was if three or more people waiting they had to open another check stand. Now you go in and there are no check stands open from 6am to 8am that I have ever seen and the clerks stand there and watch while we the customer does all the work. It makes no sense what so ever they are getting paid to do this job and we are doing all the work and paying triple the price for groceries. Hopefully someone reads this and does something about this because I will no longer shop here if this is not corrected. Thank you! read more

How is it possible that you cannot buy a house in this neighborhood for under $2 million and this grocery store is so ghetto? Lovely store and area. Ample parking and well organized, inviting store. We stopped by to pick up some necessities and lunch. The deli area is amazing! Aritsan meats and cheeses galore, including the Boar's Head brand of premium deli meats and cheeses. They were quick and efficient in making our sandwiches, which were delicious. The deli is top-notch and I absolutely recommend getting lunch there. Gorgeous floral department, clean store, friendly employees, and it was such a pleasant shopping experience at this Ralph's store. Thoughtful offerings for this area, such as swim goggles which we picked up as well. Do not hesitate to stop by this Ralph's grocery to pick up items that you need. A very lovely grocery option in this location. read more

Employees aren't happy about their job because of their employer I heard there managers are so rude and unprofessional! They don't Care about employees who work hard for them to get job done , how they can make customers happy when they are not happy! Store managers need to do the right things to fix this problems if she/he can't make the right decision then why kroger doesn't do anything? read more

Has a bougie exterior (for a Ralphs) with a nice-looking slide-door entrance, but what's kinda funny is that this particular entrance operates only at a certain time of day for vague safety reasons. Late-night shoppers (like me at the time) have to use the inferior entrance that's off to the side lol. Mmkay. Anyway, dropped by here to try to find something on-a-whim. Couldn't find it here, which I didn't really mind. Though, I noticed that the staff here in general seem pretty stuck-up. Idk what some staff members were doing, but some of them were walking up and down the aisles so rigidly that I could've easily mistaken them as store security officers lol. Also, while I was heading toward the exit, a staff lady and I were walking opposite directions toward the same narrow walkway. I moved off to the side to let her through first, but no 'scuse me or thank you from her, not even a smile. Double mmkay. Pros.....uhhh pretty clean/organized and a good amount of parking (though based on other reviews parking might be very difficult during peak hours.....probably when the grand entrance is actually operating ahahah). read more

ask the Russian lady at the self checkout if she could help us with the app cause it was our first time using it and we didn't know what we needed to scan for the coupons and all she did was hand us a paper showing us how to set it up. horrible customer service. the taller older man with glasses has a stick up his a$$ everytime i go in there. he denied me and my family service multiple times because we "looked younger" when purchasing alcohol. Not sure about these unhappy reviews. Our cashier was Courtney B and she was super friendly! The customer's at this specific location are so smooth brained they're incapable to PUT THEIR CARTS AWAY AND NOT CLUTTER UP THE EXIT DOOR. This is an hilariously inexcusable level of stupidity the townspeople of San Clemente preforms on a daily basis. This store is surprisingly well stocked for its smaller footprint. Aisles and aisles of choices. The produce section looked sharp and fresh. The deli grab n go was convenient and fully stocked with several different meat and cheese choices. The wine, beer and liquor aisles were fully stocked and did not lack for choices. The meat section was fully stocked too. All sale prices were clearly marked. To finish this review -- I'll mention the one employee we had contact with -- the cashier. He was courteous, asked if there was anything we were looking for but didn't find, reminded us about ice and said 'see you next time' on our way out. Well done read more

I'm a customer service fiend. This may be a strange review but I went to a beer fest in north county SD (thanks Yelp!) then had long standing plans to meet family In Dana point. The crazy lady working the self checkout wouldn't let me just do my purchase I knew how much of each item I had. She instead insisted that I need her help and that I actually couldn't do my transaction even though it was snacks at the self checkout because I have to put all of them on the left side of the register. I said no I'm not going to do that and she grabbed onto the bag. I then proceeded to say well fuck this I'm not buying this shit and you can put it back. Maybe don't confront customers who are minding their own shit. Good job Kroger on training and I hope this merger with Albertsons goes to shit. read more

This Ralph's deserves 5 stars because a.) it's always stocked and for that I'm grateful... but mostly because of the amazing woman at the self-checkout, Felicia! Her kindness is contagious and she never forgets a face. She is such a good human and this world needs more people like her.
